    i have two of these belts, I wear the cobra buckle version everyday, instead of buying the items they sell, i used my own stuff that I had around the house, in my belt I carry a small swiss army knife with a firefly firesteel in it. I also have a small flashlight that is usb charge, I have a small fishing kit, hooks line sinkers swivels, and a mepps black fury size 2. I have kevlar cordage, a swirl pak water bag and water purification tabs, storm proof matches and striker, a small fire steel. a razor made of ceramic, a handcuff key right at the very center of the back so I could access it if I was unlawfully detained, i have some tinder quicks, some micro cord. recently I used clear heat shrink tube to hold each item, i melted the ends similar to what wazoo does with their premade kit. even with all the stuff in my belt I can wear it all day and not even notice, it is awesome to know I have these items with me, and they are not filling my pockets and getting lost. i highly recommend the wazoo cache belt.

    Old idea in a modern version, I like it. But 100USD for the entire kit is a bit steep. Should be around 60 or so. For example, the EagleCreek belt is only 15....

    That looks like an ideal place for a $50 or $100 bill. Something that I try to put in any survival kit I actually take out with me.
    Once you make it to civilization it is great to be able to buy a ride/gas, some food, dry clothes, offer thanks to a rescuer, etc.

    • @gringo3009
      @gringo3009 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cash is a must. I switched to carrying smaller bills even though thy take up a little more room. If shtf, you'll need exact change more than likely. It's hard enough to break a larger bill at some places even when things are good.

    • @orenmontgomery8250
      @orenmontgomery8250 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@gringo3009 good point. I actually tend to carry 2 or 3 $20s in my Altoids tin, but sometimes I worry it is not enough (if I want multiple things for example like food and a ride) and I worry it might be too bulky. Maybe more of a mix is better though and I imagine the buckle could hold about 5 bills.
      I'm usually thinking more in terms of getting home than a SHTF situation, but you're right, trying to get a place to take a large bill late at night is sometimes futile.

      Your pocket kit should suit your environment. Calling a taxi from the middle of nowhere and having cash to pay for it could be a life saver :)

    I LOOK FORWARD to seeing you...and, maybe, Simon using this kit. This is definitely an item of last resort...based on the idea that you probably aren't going anywhere without your trousers that, hopefully, are no farther away than the back of the nearest chair. In the States, Zach Fowler likes some Wazoo products and he also takes Grimm card products out for freshwater fishing tests, cordage cutting, and the like. I would not want to refold any or all of these items to fit them back into the belt after use🙄😡🤬. I wonder if a beef jerky stick and energy bar would fit in while leaving room for some fire, water, and cordage elements?

    Very expensive and vey gimmicky.
    As you know you can buy a baccy tin with all that stuff in for about £20 And to be honest it is unlikely you’ll ever use this stuff or
    be in a situation where the normal stuff you carry (which may well be identical to what’s in the kit) will not be readily to hand.
    I guess if you’ve got £100 to burn you’d buy it but not for your average joe.
    BTW if you had to spend your own money on it, would you buy it, or would you make your own kit with better contents for a fraction of the cost? That’s the real litmus test for it.

  • @leecox8285

    Really don’t see the point in that belt waste of money in my own personal opinion . No offence but I personally think you read to much into the edc and shit hits the fan America prepare videos as a lot of stuffs thay show is very illegal to carry in the uk

    • @kentsurvivalgearreview586
      @kentsurvivalgearreview586  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey lee. Im not endorsing this as EDC but as a survival kit.. of course this doesnt apply to most people but those that put themselves in situations that have the potential to bad. The problem with most survival kits is that you have to remember and carry them.. this avoids that potential situation of forgetting it or not wanting to carry it as you think you probably wont need it. :)

    First I saw this and thinking wow finally something that might be affordable for most of us, unfortunately it's overpriced, another crooked dealer trying to make a huge profits off of something that really doesn't cost that much. Man don't we just love crooks these days?! I mean almost everywhere you look there is a shady dealer that wants to burn your wallet up. lol!
