It does not work currently. CTT util says it does but all the folders and everything remains. Other programs also confirm that it is indeed not removing Edge.
Did you use the WinUtil? Because at the moment I think it doesn't work properly, I recorder this video a while ago right after they added it to WinUtil and it was working then.
@@IoannesPetrvs brave is like if chrome was bad and riddled with as much cryptobloat as edge. Use ungoogled chromium with ublock, or thorium, or firefox with ublock
The problem is, after you uninstall/remove Edge, Windows Update then reinstalls it back into your system if WU is running. It is buried down into Windows since the first attempt Windows Update checks for updates and your efforts are gone wasted. Sorry.
I agree with you, but only when it's not uninstalled using the built-in uninstaller provided by Microsoft (due to the EU laws) - which is what I explained in the video. It's not force removed, it's uninstalled using a supported method given my Microsoft, so those issues shouldn't occur and it also shouldn't be reinstalled by Windows Update. But if it is, sigh....
Plenty of utility's to block reistilation of it. Win10privacy, winaero tweaker etc. You also can just manually disable reinstallation via registry In the Taskbar Search Box type: regedit. Open this up and navigate to the following location. You can copy and paste this into the Registry Editor address bar. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft Right-click on the ‘Microsoft’ folder and select ‘New’, then ‘Key’. Name the key ‘EdgeUpdate’ and then right-click on it. Select ‘New’ then ‘DWORD (32-bit) Value’ and call this ‘DoNotUpdateToEdgeWithChromium’. Once created, double-click to open the key and change its value to ‘1’. Click ‘OK’
i use revo uninstaller it uses the programs own software to uninstall itself then you scan an get everything that's left behind an there is a sh$t ton of things all software leave behind after that you will still need to go in to apps an remove a few folders the old fashion way
Why uninstall it, just don't use it, simples. Remember guys if you do uninstall it and change your web browser to another and you uninstalled the unwanted browser before downloading the new browser then your fecked. Just saying because it does happen, trust me i have had to do re-installs of the OS for quite a few customers.
But by using the built in uninstaller made possible by Microsoft you shouldn't be having those issues. If you use another script to uninstall Edge then yes, those issues will occur.
It's because of ads and telemetry. I like Edge as a browser but I don't appreciate the ads on the homepage and the search engine being changed to Bing constantly.
I've heard that the function might not be working properly in the current version of WinUtil. Just be patient and wait for the developers to fix it.
Change the localization do EU, uninstall Edge, change the localization to where you are
I've tried that manually, couldn't get it to work.
@@memstechtips This message was send from the EU, I removed edge using BulkCrapUninstaller btw

I heard 😔
yep edge is so crappy that windows forces it unto you
I tried this last week but it didn't work for me. I living in Turkey. It works if I change region in the settings ?

Adamım be
same here
Switching bloatware (edge to chrome) seems pointless
You can use Brave or another better browser

@@memstechtipsYes, and let us keep in mind that we can expect every frustrating cruelty from Microsoft which is the case using Windows Update crap.

Go to your startup apps and disable Microsoft Edge from starting up.

Nah I can run the christitus win utility easily though power shell and download any browser I want good to see you bye😂
@@memstechtips thanks for that.
You do not need a browser to install a browser. You can use Winget or tools like CTU
just use terminal and winget
dont mess with this just install debloated windows
the comic stat is everyone hate edge and mictosoft apps🤢😝
