"Why are you aiming it at them? Those are scientific instruments, not weapons. What're you gonna do assemble a cabinet at them?" - War Doctor
chicostephenson This is so relevant!
"It's a screwdriver! Go and build a cabinet!" - River Song
It is actually " Those are scientific instruments, not watee pistols
"Do the thingy!"
"I can't it's wood"
(Silence In The Library)
SomeGuyCalledJack THAT'S REALLY RUDE!
Three problems with this otherwise brilliant episode:
1) The Doctor repeatedly referring to Silurians as 'aliens'
2) Seemingly avoiding showing the TARDIS materialise by just having the sound while it's out of shot (something that seems to be happening a lot this series)
3) Despite the over reliance on the sonic, when the Doctor tries to separate the train carriages she struggles to pull the bolt out. While her high tech screwdriver is literally in her hand. The one thing the sonic was meant for is the one thing she doesn't use it on...
The Tardis redesign has a poor aesthetic for shooting scenes. I guess that is why they are using it so little. It's a shame because the tardis used to be it's own personality. Now it's just an object we avoid cause it's so poorly lit.
Fantastic Ninja - so true
I mean they are aliens to her, humans are aliens to her. Maybe she was just describing them in terms they could understand - after all alien means different to what’s known
Knowing the tragedy of Tesla being ahead of his time, I felt this episode needed something akin to the Van Gogh episode, where she could take him to modern day for a moment to see his influence on his future.
Tesla didn't need it. He was confident. Van Gogh needed it because he was so sick and sad.
Douglas Mellows
+1 plus, if you did that, then the writers would get slagged for being repetitive.
@@scotsbillhicks I also feel like it kind of misses the point of the episode.
I'll give this comment Grade:Interesting idea but probably not for the best
I like the idea of Jodie going dark this series, I personally think that the destruction of Gallifrey has the Doctor going on a bit of a rampage. She knew she was going to kill them, she even said "There'll be nothing left when you die". And last week she had no issue with people killing humans. Horribly mutated humans sure, but remember that time when Tennant tried to SAVE DAVROS? I hope we see Jodie go full Time Lord Victorious and has to pull herself back, would be an interesting arc
@dr103 Irony in the fact that the Skithra was very similar to the Raknoss and Tennant killed her too...
This I felt was like a servicable filler episode in the Tennant and Martha era. This was definatley a step up but not that all engaging. I liked Tesla's actor's performance a lot though.
It's Goran Visnjic. He is from Croatia. Tesla was born in Croatia.
what I didn't understand was her using the sonic in the 1900s... on a door... made of wood...
The Sonic got upgraded to work on wood in the 50th anniversary
@@deltahalo241 I don't remember that but I'll take your word for it... thanks for letting me know...
@@katrosemond6411 To be fair, I don't think they ever actually utilized the upgrade. It was more there to have a quick joke in the episode where it turned out the wooden door was unlocked the whole time.
deltahalo241 it wasn’t upgraded to work on wood. Rather it ran a program to break down that specific wooden door that was containing the three Doctors. If the Doctor is ever trapped in that room with that specific door GREAT! But anything else made of wood won’t work. This is confirmed in Matt Smith’s final episode as The Doctor.
"We look for things."
"What sort of things?"
"Things we need."
"Can you be more specific?"
"Things to make us go."
Bran.
Sounds like a lazy ripoff of the Packlets from "Star Trek : The Next Generation".. FFOL, you Ginger gonad, Can't you think of anything original?
My thought exactly.
I get that reference.
@@Lumibear. ...uhhh, Which one?
This was one of the best episodes of Who in a long long time. Your downs were more nitpicks than anything else really.
Saw the episode title in the TV listings, but when Tesla showed up all I could think was "Hey, that's Garcia Flynn, and this time he's not the one with a time machine!"
i thought the actor playing Tesla was excellent . As for the companions - they need 2 part stories to draw them out and for the Doctor to pull them back together but its never quite back to square one . Yes, less of the sonic . in fact id have a running joke where the doctor pulls out something completely useless in time of crisis .
Why is it that all the doctors assistants dress in period clothes to blend in, except the doctor !!
It's the doctor, the doctor has a set outfit for most episodes
You heard what 10 said to martha 'just walk about the place like you own it its what i do'
In classic who Tom Baker did change his clothes to fit in with the 1800 period in London. He even wore a deerstalker. A lot of the early Doctors actually wore clothes which seemed to fit in anywhere.
To quote the 9th Doctor, "I changed my jumper!"
The real Doctors used too. Think back all the way to the first.
I really liked this episode. They should keep this writer. (Just remind her that the companions need things to do as well)
I honestly felt they had the most thing sto do and were the best handled since ever.
Its still Chris Chibnall isn't it?
@@CrobatmanIamthenight I mean I liked that talk Ryan had with Tesla's assistant and that other talk with Yaz and Tesla, but I felt like they didn't really actively do anything to help they just talked. I mean the talks were nice but if you took that out nothing would've changed
Why couldn't they just cut out the companions for one episode. We never get to see the doctor saving worlds on her own. Ryan was USELESS in this episode only being there for comic purposes and Yas is just annoying me so much this series. She has this sort of entitlement about her that really makes me despise her character.
I mean Ed Himes wrote a great episode in Series 11 and an incredibly divisive one in Series 12. Writers on DW are weird like that
Episode 4 was the best DW episode we've had in along time. Also Goran Višnjić would make a great Doctor after Whittakers run. I would imagine he would bring a eccleston type charm and fieriness to the Dr.
I liked the episode I just want more Character development
Then the episodes need to be twice as long, but that will never happen...
Connor Atkins
Hard to do that with 3 companions, the Doctor and the supporting cast of the week.
- having less companions let’s everyone shine, more time for the Doctor, more time for the support of the week and more time on one companion and not divided into 3 different ones
Space Penguins great point, I also feel like the Doctor doesn’t bounce off these companions like previous ones. It feels like they’re just following her around
13 did actually say the aliens would die - leaving nothing but a trail of blood and other people's brilliance. She's definitely getting darker this series, after being much snarkier and shorter last ep
I for one am very happy with this episode. It's probably the most solid historical we've got so far and it was very enjoyable. Great villains, Jodie actually feels like The Doctor now, and Tesla and Edison's actors were phenomenal. I really hope the rest of the Series keeps up with the scale Spyfall and NTNOT have had so far.
This is probably the best episode of the Chibnall era. It felt like proper Doctor Who. But oddly, my favourite part was a single shot of Tesla alone in the TARDIS, there's something distincly Doctorish about his presence there and he looked like he was went to be there. Goran Visnjic for Doctor 14?
Exactly
literally waiting all day for this and when i search it it was 1 min ago 😂😂
Toby Lane SAME!
This episode and Orphan 55 are kind of parallels.
Orphan 55 had a lot of ideas but couldn't connect them and had too many pieces for a single episode. Not to mention that the environmental message about coming together really was arguing about the washing up instead of dealing with the fire.
Tesla, on the other hand, focused on one main conflict in the history of technology and made the episode around it. Edison is seen as a tech vulture and a man who spins ideas into gold whilst Tesla is an ambitious inventor who thinks of what he wants to make rather than what will be more beneficial in the market. The villain's ideologies were a mix of both and the Doctor's gone morally skewy here.
This is probably one of the best episodes of Whitaker's run because it was a period episode that has some nice historical discussion bait, has a villain who sticks out from all the human villains and it doesn''t have elements of it that make me want to slap a person. It still has hangups I usually have with the companions and the doctor herself but it's much better than normal. Probably as good as a middling Matt Smith episode.
Despite the ridiculous use on the sonic in this episode, there was one great sonic screwdriver moment where Tesla was marvelling at the genius of its function and the Doctor replies “Thanks. I made it out of spoons”. Made me laugh out loud.
I love the shirt. Who else love DEH?
Fatou The Slytherin - I was wondering if it was meant to be DEH or if it was just a coincidence
Sincerely me (;
One thing I enjoyed: Like Rosa, the discussion at the end of the episode about how life isn't going to be easy for Tesla. Things aren't magically OK now and he will still die penniless, but that his ideas, his thoughts will create the modern world as we know it.
I still can’t Believe it’s the same actress from Sarah Jame Smith 🤯🤯🤯
Fell asleep but good to see Goran Vijnic in the role he was born to play. Also good to see that the show diving harder into horror.
Actually I think the Scorpian Queen was good. Both she and the Racnoss Empress are arachnids, so the two look relatively similar would make sense
Yeah it's kind of dumb how everyone just assumed they were Racnoss or related when anything humanoid looking isn't assumed to be related to humans.
The Doctor didn’t even mention Tesla’s ideas about eugenics.
No mention of the funniest part of the episode, the hatch falling knocking the guys bonce on the train, had to pause I was laughing so hard
Series 1 of New Who was all on Earth or orbiting Earth if I remember right 🤔
Overall thoughts, not the best episode I've seen but much better than the week before. Agree the companions need to be involved more on a personal level but they're still fun enough to have around. Also I agree that less of the sonic the better.
Now you mention it yeah. Even 'End of the World' an episode that is meant to feature Si-Fi extremes and bizarre charecters, is set on a station orbiting a future earth.
Can we have Nikola Tesla
As the doctor please
The best thing in series 11 and 12 so far

@@asokatano8702
I am just sick of the screwdriver
Coming out about 1000 times a episode
To cover everything up
Maybe a bit of good acting is needed
He reminded me of Hugh Jackman in The Greatest Showman.
One thing I think should have gotten an up was when the Queen asked the Doctor “Have you ever seen a planet burn?” And the Doctor just pauses for a moment before angrily answering “You have no idea what I’ve seen.” One the best moments for Whittaker’s Doctor IMO so far.
I throughly love Graham, especially, in this episode.
Mate honestly, I thought it was even worse than last week. It was so predictable that even I was able to guess everything that would occur and that never happens. You are giving it so much more credit than it deserved.
And I’m the only one who liked orphan 55. It’s ok, I’m used too it
Sahar Sol I liked it too!
It wasn't that bad.
It wasn't bad liked it
The one thing I did like about the companions in this episode was the fact they represented how well Edison did to cover up Tesla in history - however any companion could have done that
When I saw Edison, I yelled out: oi, that is three socks Morgan
My favorite part of this episode is how dark the Doctor got with the Skithra queen during their last interaction. Most specifically, I liked this part:
"When you die, there will be nothing left behind. Just a trail of blood and other people's brilliance. No-one will even know you existed."
Goran was great! First episode in a long time that felt like there were stakes and a viable threat. More of this please!
Also why did the sonic work on wood
Plot.
When??
Chibnall! It doesn’t do wood. It’s like that so you stop soniccing everything
When did it "do wood" lol, genuinely curious
Same man, all I know is that the ship Venusians (I think) built everything out of wood so the sonic wouldn't work on the ship itself but I don't remember it being used there...?
The queen and empress are just like the necros from wizards vs aliens , I think that it’s just the default BBC alien design.
That's pretty much par for the course when it comes to the BBC. They reuse old props and costumes from other shows, but I wouldn't say it has a negative impact because they're still well made.
To make sure I don't sound like a complete 'Who apologist, I'll mention my major issue with this episode. How did The Doctor etc get onto the train while being chased by the henchman at the beginning? Was there a long run from the power plant to the station? Was the train waiting specifically for The Doctor? None of it really makes sense. Get chased by baddy... end up on moving train where companions are waiting. How???
Now the defending. The sonic is just a tricorder now. I've embraced that fact rather than keep finding it annoying. It helps. The Doc' uses it for readings etc, rather than as a tool that does literally everything, so.... it's a tricorder. It's an upgrade, no piece of tech would go a thousand years without some improvements being made. Yay headcannon!
Yes the aliens look like the Racnoss, but spiders and scorpions are both arachnids, why can't the Racnoss and the Skithra be a related pair of races? Evolved from a common ancestor. When you consider how many alien races look like humans, why not?
All in all, liked it. Apart from the train.
Tbh, I somehow thought they got there by TARDIS... and I stopped thinking about it... But yeah, it probably wasn't TARDIS so it makes little sense
Edison and Tesla were actually friends. Edison gave Tesla a chance to work for him while no-one else would. While Edison did have inventors working for him, he was definitely an inventor himself and very smart. When he became more famous, Tesla was able to get his own funding for projects that he wanted to do. He became a hermit in his later years.
While Tesla is far more interesting, most people have the wrong idea about Edison.
All I could think of while watching was how I knew you would complain about the rampant sonicing.
Graham's AC/DC joke was funny....
Nice vid and also cool DEAR EVAN HANSEN t-shirt
I like the series so far it’s good but some character development especially for the doctor. I want to see her angry like tennant and Matt smith used to. I also miss the overarching storylines of new who. We had the Bad Wolf with eccleston, Harold Saxon, the DoctorDonna, silence will fall, the pandorica and the crack. Just feels like somethings missing like I want a reason to keep watching and building up to a big series finale
Gaming Central FC the timeless child
Jordan Mort it was mentioned once in series 11 and once again this season. Not overarching enough like Bad Wolf or the crack in space and time which appeared almost every episode
i think the ship might be a plot hole, but i didn't realise until it looking like a scorpion was pointed out
Personally, I got the distinct impression that they ran after the strike, though it's possible they did burn up in the atmosphere, but it does seem to be the prevalent theory that she killed them and... perhaps I don't want to believe that, because I'm really enjoying post-Master badass Jodie who still has a solid heart and hasn't entirely lost her shit. But that speech, about them not evolving and that there'd be no trace of them in death? Yeah, jesus. Wouldn't be surprised if they'd fried...
Good morning Rich. Hope all is well. Happy Monday 😊 Great critiques again
Not only the Judoon, but also The Cybermen?
They making good steps forward to good episodes. Jey, tiny, tiny baby steps, but still steps. I just want to see REAL emotions from the doctor. Fear, sadness...like this moment when she sea Galyfray
Both Jodie and Goran were playing the Doctor, nobody was playing Tesla. And the depiction of Edison was just criminal.
THANK YOU for these Doctor Who reviews!
Great episone. Like it very much. Best episode since a long time.
Best episode under chibnall yet. Still not brilliant, but decent
How do you not have Capaldi's Screwdriver?! Next to River songs its design is superb.
It reminded me of the episode with Van Gogh and a liked how the doctor used Tesla's technology to get rid of the aliens. They really tried to make Graham funny by having him go after Edison
I liked it. As a scientist being compared to Edison is pretty much an insult, so it was surprisingly nuanced performance from Glenister. The irony is that Edison was the future and not Tesla, whatever people would rather think
First time watching a what culture Who video
Lovely and fair...well done..subscribed
5:43 wow wow wow! Hold the fucking phone! I read she was going to be series 12 but not as the scorpion! Mind blown
I thought there were good parallels between Nikola Tesla and the doctor and they shared some good moments throughout the episode
Solid episode, series 12 back on track!
Jasper Young hopefully
I think it’s fine that the doctor was happy to destroy the Skithra cause I felt this episode understood how the doctor’s morality should work where the doctor will offer enemies a chance to change and if it’s clear they won’t then the doctor takes action. That way is more consistent with other doctors and I feel it’s better to ignore the weird approach of s11 where any violent action is wrong regardless of context
They don’t know about nikola Tesla because we don’t learn about it at school in england. As far as I know
I don't think you need to learn about him in school to know who he is though. 🤔
the queen looking like the empress of the racnoss makes sense given how scorpions and spiders are related in the real worled
also the doctor refers to the silurian weapon as an alien weapon
but the silurians are not alien theyre earth-liens (native to earth)
The Queen of this episode reminded me a lot of the Ferengi from Star Trek The Next Generation. I did not care at all for her costume as I thought that they could have and should have done a better job of making her centaur like, but in this instance with a scorpion body instead of a horse body.
I loved this episode mostly because I love the historical episodes of Doctor Who but there is one complaint I have after watching your video. In the trailer you can see the (insert alien name I don’t know how to spell) but in the episode it’s supposed to be a bit of a reveal. Just a small thing I noticed though. Other than that the episode was fantastic.
Actually you give a good point there was a theory before the break happened of two years that the reason why it was going to be a break is because they didn't have the funding to do another season so they needed to build it up the idea of every episode being on Earth may have something to do with this maybe what has happened to who is causing a shortage of funding there for a shortage of the ability to do any extra tracular things which kind of explains why we in the five episodes we have had haven't had any hints to the doctor doing research or trying to figure anything out about the supposed plot behind the scenes
To be honest I haven’t heard of Nikola Tesla till i watched this episode
Wow
I was hoping the scorpion people were related to the racnoss because they look and talk similarly
Talonflame1205 SAME!
One sentence review from what you said in video-
It’s like a well places fart that clears the room.
Oh lord can't wait to see what you say about episode 5
I enjoyed the episode more so than most over the past two seasons, but moreso I appreciate watching your videos more than many WhatCulture videos. I disagree with half of things you say, but clearly you are a fan of the show and not just getting in front of the camera without any clue, or doing any research, and mispronouncing everything like we see on many of the movie lists.
We have tesla to thank for so many many and yet he was so underappriciated so glad doctor who brought attention to him
I really enjoyed this episode. Even though I don’t think “Orphan 55” was as bad as people say, it was definitely weak in comparison to this.
A step up episode.
Positives of the episode...
- Tesla and Edison and their great acting. Especially Tesla
- Graham is the best of the companions, despite only really giving a couple of comedy lines.
My criticisms of the episode...
- There were a couple of times where the soundtrack was absolutely deafening and nothing was really happening. Certainly not any kind of action sequence that might warrant it. Then it would suddenly die out and be deadly silent before deafening me again. I’ve complained previously about not noticing the soundtrack at all, but I don’t like this solution.
- Yasmin attempting to stop the scorpion creatures who can walk on walls and are only not catching her and Edison because (ahem plot) they keep crashing into each other by throwing a cart of bread to the ground. Not smart and wasted good opportunity to keep running by trying to make her seem to do something. Also pausing for ages before closing the door to the secret passage way so that the scorpions were closer.
- Monster of the week is a racnoss rip off and you will not change my mind. I maintain last week’s comment that chibnal is trying to do a “greatest hits” of all the previous doctors, rather than come up with anything original and good.
- When the Doctor takes Tesla and his lady friend (sorry can’t remember her name) from his place near Niagara Falls to the train, how does she do it? She can’t have used the TARDIS because we get the Tesla reaction shot later in the episode. It appears as if the Doctor and the companions were already on the train when the Doctor left to trace the energy signals, so presumably left in the TARDIS. There’s no other way that Tesla and his lady friend were able to get onto the moving train headed to New York unless they went in the TARDIS, but supposedly their first time was much later in the episode. Am I missing something?
- Racnoss wannabe threatens to essentially destroy the planet unless Tesla does as he’s told. Considering the monster queen wants Tesla to fix the ship and weapons, how exactly was racnoss wannabe going to follow through with this threat? Also, by not getting Tesla and destroying the planet, you’re killing Tesla and destroying your chances of fixing your ship and weapons. It makes no sense? You’re threatening destruction with weapons you don’t have and are threatening to kill the only person who can fix them if you don’t get him. There’s no logic!
Overall, I found the episode much better than orphan 55 or whatever it was called, but still had a lot of plot issues. A lot.
I personally really like Tesla and Edison in the episode. I honestly think they would be better as companions then the current (ayyyy) ones. They had better chemistry with the Doctor than Yaz, Ryan and Graeme. That says a lot, that two one offs were better than the actual companions. Sums up Chibbers, doesn't it?
I really loved this one. Not a classic but definitely back to solid form. Some fun storytelling with cool historical figures and alien scorpions! That’s all I want in my Who.
Also appreciated not making Edison an evil monster with heavy handed politics or anything. Groovy through and through. Up.
Only one attack the entire trip from Niagara NY to New York City? That trip itself should have taken longer than everything that happened in NYC 10 times over.
I'm literally only interested in Goran Višnjić (Tesla). He's ALWAYS top-notch and really elevates anything he's in, at least from his side of the story. He can be goofy, sexy, tragic, chilling, noble, scummy, he's just great. I want to see him in more English speaking roles. I'd love to see him in the MCU (TELL ME he wouldn't be an incredible Victor Von Doom.)
Mortal compass is going towards 10 again, there was a line 'no more chances' that seems to be cropping up.
Did anyone else find it distracting that Goran Visnjic looked like Kevin Kline in "A Fish Called Wanda" throughout this episode...? I kept expecting some over-the-top Otto wackiness every time Visnjic bulged his eyes.
Also, that moment where the gang first arrive in New York City and the Doctor says it's to early to visit Central Park, but "[...] maybe the Statue of Liberty...? Um, maybe not." You _literally_ showed the Statue of Liberty in the establishing shot of the city... ten seconds ago, behind the _start of this same conversation!_ I mean, perhaps it was intended as a callback to the couple of times the statue has featured in previous seasons _("Daleks In Manhattan"_ in season 3 and _"The Angels Take Manhattan"_ in season 7), but if so it was glossed over so quickly it didn't really land.
I find the queen rlly scary tbh just cuz of his she was acting 😂.
Loved this episode. So far 3 great episodes and 1 average episode. Not bad at all
Wasn’t the doctor not suppose to go back to New York because of the time lock with the weeping angels in the angels of Manhattan
That only counted for the year the events of that story took place in, The Doctor could have easily traveled a year into the future and met back up with Amy and Rory again, now why doesn't The Doctor do this? Because Moffat doesn't proofread his own stories.
I like this episode a lot found it interesting.
The Doctor gave the Scithra several chances to leave and live.
I was hoping the Doctor would make a witty comment on the resemblance to the Racnoss. It really annoyed me it wasn't a Racnoss because I was really excited to see them come back somehow ever since I saw the trailer for season 12.
Over all, I liked this episode. My biggest hang up was, how the hell did they get on that train. But hey it's Dr. Who. Stranger things have happened on the show throughout it's history. The fact that this alien race looked like the racnose doesn't bother me much. The Doctor said that they are another ancient race. Maybe most of the ancient races look insectoid.
On an extremely positive note. Thank you to this channel for the Ups and Downs. I enjoy this 100,000,000x more than a few other channels that's all negative and hate. Glad that I found you guys a few weeks ago.
YES! How did they go from where Doc found Tesla and get onto a moving train!?!
Personally, I loved this episode and Goran Višnjić was great (eye candy too like he was on ER). The Scorpion Queen and her crew were (I think intentionally) much like the Spider Queen that 10 faced off against. Oh, and I have to tell you, most Americans (not I) would have not know who Tesla was, much less even Edison. Only my fellow geeks and history buffs would know these historical figures. If they didn't play sports or something like that, nobody knows them, or their significance here. Sad. Anyway, back to the episode. This episode was easily my favorite new (Season 12) episode, even better than most of Season 11. Oh and I know you hate it but, as a big fan of over the top camp, one of the things I consider Who to be, when done well, the bit with the Sonic is sort of her physical catchphrase, a character signature piece. I find it both amusing and endearing. But I suppose we all have our likes/dislikes. As always, thanks for the great review and plot blow by blow.
you do know tesla never got close to compleating the wardencliff tower as his funding was pulled
I'm still feeling bruised from the travesty of last week, but this was a good, solid episode.
I overall liked this episode, but had two problems with it:
1. Why didn't they all just hide in the TARDIS when the scorpions were coming down at the end?
2. (More importantly) the doctor doesn't use a gun but is fine to blow up an entire species' ship???
Matt Smith used the sonic ALL the BLOODY time
The aliens in this reminded me of the Pakleds from ST:TNG - the episode 'Samaritan Snare' - they travelled about in a ship that wasn't theirs, and full of anomalous tech.
Venusians, in Doctor Who lore, lived billions of years ago, before Venus became uninhabitable due to a cascading greenhouse effect. They are described in the beautifully sad novel 'Venusian Lullaby' (1994), which features The Doctor in his first Incarnation, and Ian and Barbara, as resembling large Starfish. They have resigned themselves to their fate, and possess no space travelling tech, as metal is lethal to them - all their tech is based on wood.
First episode that felt like Doctor Who. Loved Tesla and Edison. Liked the Skithra. Enjoyed the pace of the episode. Still think there's 2 too many companions that need to be ditched.
That chase scene when the skithras were chasing Edison and Yaz was just Yaz being obnoxious. She's throwing small baskets of bread and not large poles and tents, why? Yaz, a 21st-century policewoman, can't tell people to get inside their houses. If there was a screaming woman yelling "get in your house!" would you really listen to her. So Edison alarms everyone by reading a newspaper so they can abandon the streets.
Tesla was a genius. Shame on the US government for not funding his research. Imagine how advanced the world would be now.
Googled some images of the signage on the tardis door from the inside, the police call box writing is usually reversed, in theese latest ones it isn’t, anyone think this is a mistake?
I have a prediction. I trully hope so.
Goran Višnjić that plays Tesla recently moved from USA to GB. He wouldn't move if he only had to star in one episode. (Maybe for something else, I'm just guessing for now)
At the end of the episode, when they defeat the scorpion queen, we can see Tesla standing in the control room of the Tardis all proud. We can see his silhouette looking all "doctory".
Maybe Goran will play the 14th doctor incarnation. It wouldn't be the first time that the Doctor took an appearance of another character (12th doctor - Caecilius).
Tesla in this episode had the doctor vibe, curiosity, and a classic doctor look.
oh I hope not. He was great but every time I saw him I thought - that's Kevin Kline from "French Kiss"!
@@cloudsparrow7729 if they get rid of jodie, that is already an improvement
