He used a DVD/VCR combo. He burned the video of the eas alert onto the DVD. He recorded the DVD onto a VHS tape. He than played the VHS recording back, on the tube TV, making it look real. It was actually a VHS tape. That's how.
Almost everything about this was perfect, my only complaint is the actual creature itself didn't look the best and the jump scare lasted a little too long, other than that it was amazing
I'd say the jumpscares don't fit in here overall, it'd be better if there were no jumpscares and instead possibly never even show the creature, but imply that it's there with sounds or something, and don't directly show when it's coming for the kid
If you think about it, if he followed all the steps and not going downstairs to just get a dvd tape and leave the window open plus, he even looked outside of the window to just see the monster which was a stupid move and by not looking away from the TV and hiding.
