I'm a Catholic but I totally loved this awesome presentation. I have heard much of it before but this presenter added new details I hadn't heard before, and connections to the Mishnah and Talmud. As a Christian, the details about how the half-shekel temple tax was paid at various points in time is so interesting because of the story about Jesus paying the temple tax in Matthew 24-27. I understand him not mentioning that directly but the Christian Gospels give precious details about 1st c Judaism and sometimes testifying to some of the same information in ancient Jewish texts.
Matthew chapters 24-27 are (24)the signs of Christ’s return, (25)the parable of the ten virgins, (26)the plot to kill Jesus and (27)Judas‘s remorse. I don’t know where you’re getting the story of Jesus paying the temple tax from these chapters.
Why do we need to identify as catholic, messianic, protestant, orthodox, etc. Our savior started 1 church not not 40,000. Why cant we just be believers as they were in the early church. I was on the pilgrimage road Oct 2022! Quite by accident! We had just come out of Hezekiah’s tunnel & after seeing the Siloam Pool, was looking for the way out. A man was sitting on a chair & pointed to a set of steps leading up to a door. I recognized the steps from videos I had seen on TH-cam! 🙌 all along the left wall, going up the steps, was a huge painting of the Siloam Pool as it used to look. Incredible! On the door, a sign posted told of the excavation going on! Going back out & walking a little further, there was another set of steps that looked the same, going up to a door. I’m assuming there are two Pilgrimage roads? These are both very near the Siloam Pool that has been excavated.

Was it not true the Gihon sent water up a guiser shooting up 400 feet above the Temple, and so the Temple had to be located near the Orphel or by the Gihon Spring to accomplish this vertical pump of water. ?

I'm still confused as to why the Jews have not figured out that what they are calling the Temple mount it's not where the temple was. The temple was in the old city of David, the so-called Temple Mount is not. The Bible clearly states that the temple was right outside the spring of gishon. Perhaps I heard an archaeologist say that what they are calling the Temple Mount was a Roman structure, built above their Temple to have a better tactical position. That it was the exact proportions of other defensive Roman fortifications. It does seem like the Old testament clearly puts the original Temple at the spring of gishon.

Great presentation , wonderful to see the physical evidence of different temple periods . But I really never needed any physical evidence, I have believed by faith that every written word of God in the Torah / Holy Bible was absolute truth since he called me to him at nine years old.

Was it not true the Gihon sent water up a guiser shooting up 400 feet above the Temple, and so the Temple had to be located near the Orphel or by the Gihon Spring to accomplish this vertical pump of water. ?

I'm still confused as to why the Jews have not figured out that what they are calling the Temple mount it's not where the temple was. The temple was in the old city of David, the so-called Temple Mount is not. The Bible clearly states that the temple was right outside the spring of gishon. Perhaps I heard an archaeologist say that what they are calling the Temple Mount was a Roman structure, built above their Temple to have a better tactical position. That it was the exact proportions of other defensive Roman fortifications. It does seem like the Old testament clearly puts the original Temple at the spring of gishon.
I would rather walk through Gobekli Tepe from 21,000 years ago.
