It's always a treat to watch your annual Lume-O-Ween. Thank you Shane for what you bring to the watch community. I subscribed to your channel a while ago. I also put a lot of thumbs up. Keep up the good work. To thank you I wanted to share this from my 97 years old patient. She told me that today. A souvenir from her youth: "Trick or treat; Smell my feet; Give me something good to eat; Not too big not too small; Just the size of Montreal." Hew! Haw!🎃
Lume-O-Ween seems to come faster and faster every year. Congrats to Wise again! And I did not even realize you made a Shane Wick Thumbnail until you just pointed it out. It’s cool and disturbing all at once…😅
Great vid! Glad to see Citizen mentioned. The first watch and its 3D lume numerals are so cool looking! I bet it’s even better seeing it in person. Happy Halloween y’all!
I have the Zelos but at 41mm instead of 42mm or larger, it's too small for my wrist. Yep, I'm going to sell it. Vaer, my favorite micro brand with 4 of them and 4 Erebus watches, so glad to see them on your list. Damn, I own 5 Wise watches. Can't believe you profiled almost half of the watch brands I own, thank you!!!
Great review. I picked up the Zelos - THRESHER 41MM AVENTURINE - GMT this year. The lume on this watch is good, but the bezel area seems to fade out quicker than the dial. A more expensive watch from Christopher Ward Lumière watches would have been cool to compare.
I HAVE A WATCH I THINK CAN COMPETE! It is not currently produced-but Seiko SNK811 - a seemingly lesser (almost unknown) full lume dial of the retired Seiko military/field type watches with a 7S26. It glows SO bright and all through the night for me. I can wake up to go the bathroom at 4am and the thing is still shining. My favorite watch despite having other more expensive pieces in my collection
Indiglo is a bit different, but also very under rated. Every time someone says they need tritium so they could see their watch when they wake up in the middle of the night. I keep thinking it's cheaper and easier just to get a Timex
Here I am w/ a watch w/ no lume and I don’t miss it. Most of the ones I have it but it’s to dim to be useful in anyway. I get why people want it but it’s not useful unless pitch black, your eyes are adjusted and hopefully the lume is still glowing.
You may be buying the wrong watches. Most of the great lume I've seen always have a healthy green glow. Even just indoors during the day. But honestly, how useful it is is really up to you. For the people that really want something for when they wake up in the middle of the night, honestly, a Timex indiglo would be better. Or just an inexpensive alarm clock
Hello there mate , I had asked you to measure and let me know the crystal size of the AQ4091 you own ( just to get an idea of the dial size ) but you were on vacation . Are you back from your vacation ? Could you please help me out here , thanks !
Speaking of lumicast; you should do the C60 Trident Lumière. I wonder if it'll hold up better than some of the more affordable lumicast attempts we've seen before?
Steeldive 1970 is not that strong, but check Cronos LM6002 bronze diver. Shane also did a review of it. After my Wise AD8 it's the strongest and longest lasting lume I have ever seen.
@nooski_Watches-ik9nr I will! Yeah I really find Wise intriguing but I just don't connect with the designs, they are cool but not my taste, plus the price bracket means it's a significant purchase for most.
Yeah, that is the downside of Wise. Although I have noticed some of their more recent stuff has been toned down. Like the AD8 divers are completely polished and all flash, but the ADX (still unusual dial) is more brushed with polished highlights. Then the new Flieger is even more tooly. So they are getting a little more variety.
After picking the best lume watch of the past year, I think you should compare it to the winners from the previous years... I'm going to guess that the Wise Hitman Full Lume is still the all-time best?
@@RelativeTime I didn't really expect you to still have all the watches, I guess I was thinking more of a split-screen editing comparison of the previous video footage.
I think we're blinded by tradition sometimes. I've never quite understood or agreed with the 'no lume on a dress watch' theory. Surely an evening wear watch is a scenario that you would want and need lume more than any other. Apart from being five meters or lower underwater of course. Wise got it right on that gold dress watch, at least in the lume department. In a practical real life sense I predict this will become a thing. Perhaps it just needs to be done a touch more elegantly than a traditional dive watch lume?
It's one of my kings of lume. I think it was the second one I called that. So the only watch I've seen that's clearly better would be the Wise Hitman, and with that sometimes the full lume dial makes the hands harder to read.
Lume doesn't have to last all night, that's not what it's function is. The better test would be...how bright does it shine underwater when exposed to minimal light.
In practice, that would be a better test for actual use. But theoretically, that should be directly related to longevity as well. If you are new to the channel my background is in Chemistry, and it should all be directly related to the number of phosphorescent molecules in the luminous paint. As each molecule can only give off one photon per charging cycle. Now there may be some other things that could get factored in, like the other molecules in that paint matrix which would restrict the light from getting absorbed. But the biggest factor will be the sheer number of phosphors. Which is also what I've seen in practice. My kings of lume last the longest, but they are also the ones that have a healthy glow to them regardless of lighting conditions. These are the watches that even right after you take them out of the box you notice a green/blue hue to them.
Well wise does have something new. Not sure if it's x1, and only lume on the hands, but 100m wr and a screw down crown. I think it's called the ASURA AS-210
Tritium is a whole other thing, and in my opinion not as good for most people. Unless you frequently use it at night, the limited lifespan isn't usually worth the extra cost.
One Correction. The other version of the Vaer G5 GMT uses a Caller type GMT, I accidentally said the SW330 was a travelers.
Always look forward to Lume-O-Ween thank you Shane!
Thanks for the glowing review, Shane! The production quality is a treat to watch as usual!

Regardless of the lume, you have a great collection! Thanks for showing them all off and their lume!
Wise hitman full lume has a hard time leaving my wrist its soo damn bright and its a really nice watch.
Wore it to a movie theater once, and my wife told me to take it off and put it away. lol
Lume-O-Ween seems to come faster and faster every year. Congrats to Wise again! And I did not even realize you made a Shane Wick Thumbnail until you just pointed it out. It’s cool and disturbing all at once…😅
Another frightfully great video. Thank you Shane 🎃
Glad you liked it!
Very interesting video I thoroughly enjoyed thank you. Some great pieces too. Excellent
That Kame is such a cool watch. And it does look great in purple.
Some fantastic lume shots 💙
Great vid! Glad to see Citizen mentioned. The first watch and its 3D lume numerals are so cool looking! I bet it’s even better seeing it in person. Happy Halloween y’all!
Nice to se this again. Always a "Treat" 😜
That Signum chapter ring is legit!

Yes!! It’s a Halloween tradition! Thanks Shane!
Another great Lume-O-Ween year! Thanks, I almost forgot about it.

It's that time of year again, great photography! Happy Halloween 😁
Thanks! You too!
This is a great concept for a video, and thank you so much for not have 10 Tudors/Rolex. Variety truly is the spice of life! Well done!
Glad you liked it! Cheers
Same with the Zelos, Vertex does an awesome job with the molded lume.
Waited for this all year lol!
I didn’t notice your face on the wick image….THAT’S AWESOME!! Let’s get together on a live show!
This is great, I think I’ve watched your videos for at least 2-3 years. Must have missed the previous Halloween specials.
MMI out of Singapore seems to be coming out some nice watches with great lume. I ordered a full lume bronze Cuttlechron due for delivery in January.
Likewise!!!
My FAVORITE video you put out all year! GREAT JOB
Like pushed Subscribed (for a while 😂)
Went to bed with a Erebus Origin on my wrist. Woke up before dawn & it was still glowing strong.

I just git turned on to the Wise watch brand and have to say wow they just keep impressing me more and more
Nicely done!
Thanks..
Lume is not an issue for me nor is it a deal breaker. It's an extra. However, I do enjoy your videos and I believe that you are trustworthy.
Thanks!
Good overview Shane. Often overlooked is, Timex Indiglo beats them all and is still my go to when needed such as when camping.
Indiglo is a bit different, but also very under rated. Every time someone says they need tritium so they could see their watch when they wake up in the middle of the night. I keep thinking it's cheaper and easier just to get a Timex
do a review on the HEMEL HD1 HYDRODURANCE best green lume ever
Here I am w/ a watch w/ no lume and I don’t miss it. Most of the ones I have it but it’s to dim to be useful in anyway. I get why people want it but it’s not useful unless pitch black, your eyes are adjusted and hopefully the lume is still glowing.

I enjoy my Hitman. Still no other comes close other then another Wise watch.
I asked them once how they did it, and they just played it off like it was no big deal. "Well... If you know what you are doing..." kind of comment.
Not particularly a big lume guy… but always luv ya reviews!!! 👍😊
Thanks!
Hello there mate , I had asked you to measure and let me know the crystal size of the AQ4091 you own ( just to get an idea of the dial size ) but you were on vacation . Are you back from your vacation ? Could you please help me out here , thanks !
Got back a few days ago. measuring the very edge of the crystal, from just inside the bezel, I'm getting about 32mm.
@@RelativeTime Thanks for taking out the time and effort to help me out !
SW330 is actually a caller GMT movement. It does have a higher beat rate and a longer power reserve than the NH 34 if that’s any consolation.
Opps.. yeah that's what I meant to say. Since the 9075 that's in it is a True / Travelers.
Lum is becoming most popular. If you don't have good Lum, you're nothing to me..😂😂😂
😂
HELL YES BROTHER
have you ever seen the lume on the Pearl Diver by Wicked Watch Co?
No I haven't. Supposedly it's good. Tried borrowing one a couple of lume-o-weens ago, but they weren't interested.
Awesome watch choices! All of them a bit left field but great!
Yeah, alot of times the best lume watches aren't the most common.
@@RelativeTime Indeed my friend. Some of the best is not always the most popular.
Speaking of lumicast; you should do the C60 Trident Lumière. I wonder if it'll hold up better than some of the more affordable lumicast attempts we've seen before?
I'm on the list, but I think far down to get a demo from CW. But I really want to check it out.
I'm really interested in seeing some of the value lume monsters, like the Steeldive 1970. Easy gifts to get for others without breaking the bank!
Steeldive 1970 is not that strong, but check Cronos LM6002 bronze diver. Shane also did a review of it. After my Wise AD8 it's the strongest and longest lasting lume I have ever seen.

That would be a good idea, but I don't always still have that watch. Although I still have the hitman, and it's still the all time best.

CW Lumiere?
Hopefully I'll get a chance this year to see it.
INDIGLO!
Touch of Christmas? Not yet! 😅
Although it isn't a 2024 release, I wonder how an Orient Star Diver would compare?
It's one of my kings of lume. I think it was the second one I called that. So the only watch I've seen that's clearly better would be the Wise Hitman, and with that sometimes the full lume dial makes the hands harder to read.
@RelativeTime fair point.

just letting you know that i watched this while enjoying my pasta dinner 👍
Thanks! Hope both were good.
Where is the cw trident c60 Lumiere???
I'm hopefull it's good, but haven't got a chance to test it yet. And this list is only on things I've actually reviewed / tested.
still waiting for a watch make with the stones to make a dress watch with X1 lume and a screw in crown
Well wise does have something new. Not sure if it's x1, and only lume on the hands, but 100m wr and a screw down crown. I think it's called the ASURA AS-210
@RelativeTime I want their AD820A but their website has issues. it would not take my card
Cough tuseno shellback v2 cough
My god , most of these watches look awful, you want lume 24/7 get yourself a luminox 👍
Tritium is a whole other thing, and in my opinion not as good for most people. Unless you frequently use it at night, the limited lifespan isn't usually worth the extra cost.
