I was sold a “removable clamp” to go near the the buckle clip to lock the seat belt straps together… is this not needed

Can the seat be reclined whilst installed forward facing in car?

Is there anything keeping the car seatbelt tight through those gaps behind the pads or does it start to loosen on its own?
Pulling the seatbelt all the way out will active the locking mode
@ysgood not all cars have a auto locking mechanism and you'll need a special clip at the buckle available from most car seat stores.
