This is a really, really good local history film. I don't live here yet, but I'd like to. And when I do, I will retrace your steps from this film. thank you so much.

I discovered tidemills accidently in August 2018, beautiful place and ruin. You get a good feel of what use to be there and appreciate how different it was back then.

Very good introduction to the old village, and even more forgotten seaplane base. I like the atmospheric touches, which bring the areas more to life.
No substitute for Kevin's tour and Peter's on-site talk, of course, but an excellent taster with lots of interesting snippets.

Thank you so much for this Chris.
I have happy memories of exploring Tide Mills as a boy with Mum & Dad.
I remember a lovely old fig tree, which Dad and I used to plunder in season.
I have always wanted to know more, and your film has filled in the gaps.
I have also heard stories of the Canadians shelling the place, but with nothing to support it.
    Thanks again. Bob.

Chris Conil Yes indeed. I used to make polished TV style videos but exploring the short form loser approach for TH-cam. I admire your production values. Like you I have been in the game a long time.

Spent many a happy hour wading around with school pals in the ruins of Tide Mills in the late 50s early 60s.I was led to believe the Canadian military used it for target practice.
