Just did this drive 10 times in a weekend moving between these 2 cities!! I've done this drive my whole life, fantastic route
it's a nice stretch of highway -- though the traffic can kind of suck sometimes.
I've always wanted to drive through St. Catharines. I never knew the 406 was that scenic! Great video I really enjoyed this one
The 406 is a fun drive. Thanks for watching.
@@Dexeria probably something like that.
406 is a spur route of QEW from St. Catharines to Welland.
It's kilometer markers are inverse as well as 417.
I enjoyed the 110 km/h signs.
If you are wondering what that would be for a New York state New Jersey Pennsylvania Driver 70 mph same speed limit as Interstate 476 Lehigh tunnel to mid-county Interchange via US-22 Exit 56 Lehigh Valley Interchange Easton Phillipsburg Harrisburg
One of my favorite Ontario highways! Also we're going to Niagara Falls next month!
have fun in Niagara Falls!
@@AsphaltPlanet1 Yeah. It's a fun place there. Also I have a video suggestion for you to do: How about do a video of the 407/115 from Markham to Peterborough?
I love that view coming down the hill on highway 6, coming off of highway 5
me too. I think it's one of the best vistas in southern Ontario.
Error in one of your screen comments during the video. The QƐШ was named for Queen Elizabeth the Queen mother yes but she was never a queen regnant. She was not Queen Elizabeth I, because as the wife of the king, King George she gets no number. Queen Elizabeth I was back during the days of Shakespeare.
I stand corrected. Thanks for the comment.
Great drive, love Ontario highways
Thanks for watching.
The route is between two cities on each end while taking over the western tip and parallel to the south-southwestern shoreline of Lake Ontario heading east.
Beck Taxi just before entering Saint Catharines. He’s come quite a distance!
Indeed he has. Thanks for watching.
RIP Queen Elizabeth 1926-2022
Nice video! But isn't the border closed?
the border is still closed.
I am looking to start filming road videos. Just curious what you use to film?
I use a Sony AX33 camcorder
1:28 are you old enough to remember the Freeman Interchange before it was rebuilt to accommodate the 407? It was a traffic nightmare
I do remember that, although I was fairly young when it was replaced. The old Freeman interchange left a lot to be desired.
My dad was a truck driver, and his company's yard was on Fiddler's Green Rd south of the 403, so anytime we went to the US, we used the 403 & QEW to Ft Erie. I'm 42, so I have alot of memories of what a nightmare that interchange used to be
@@JruGordon I bet. I'm in my 30s and live on the other side of the GTA, so my memories are much more limited.
@@AsphaltPlanet1 my dad lived in Brantford. I even remember before the 403 was completed between Garden Ave and Wilson Ave, having to take Highways 2/53 to cover that gap
