Crimsafe has a bad corrosion problem, because of the stainless steel fastening screws going through the aluminium. The two dissimilar metals cause corrosion, then they put a cover strip over the screws. I have worked in the security screen industry for 25 years.
They only corrode if moisture, which acts as an electrolyte, gets in between the dissimilar metals. Keep those areas moisture free and galvanic corrosion would be much less of a problem.
Yes, this can be a problem in salty climates- The solution is the gel coating in coastal applications! Important to do your research, not every company or application implements the same standards.

I have dismantled Crimsafe screens & yes I have seen gel coating on the screws but they are still corroding because the stainless steel still touches the aluminium frame. A redesign of Crimsafe is the only way to fix it.
