    Unusual inventory piece and a nice walk-thru. Learned some things and a few rabbit holes were spotted. Time to do some research. Surely, you have a likely buyer in mind.

    Neat truck. Allison trans are great for on/off hwy use and push/pull kind of heavy haul. The push buttons are the worst part. Should be a paddle shift on the steering column. But a cool truck still.

    So many auto haters, it's your preference, heavy haul, in anything hilly with stops like west Virginia auto is the way to go, plus you can get a auto retarder which adds additional engine breaking, as well as continuous breaking to a stop, no clutch disengage with each downshift, all the way to a stop. Allison 4700 rated 600 hp and 2600lb torque, not going to break it.

      Allison makes the difference. That first gear takes the place of the first 4 of a clutch tranny. Highway may be a different story though.

      Because Allison HD automatics rock. The torque converter takes care of it. They run sweet. They can handle up to 1850 lb/ft of torque and more I think

      there's really no need, especially if you're using a jeep, you won't legally be able to load the truck heavy enough to need double walled frame, double walled frame is more or less needed for oilfields and off road trucks

    At 2:17 it sure looks to me like it has a disc brake air chamber on the rear drive axle, right side. Later in the video, you mention it only has discs on the steer. Am I seeing things? Or are you just exhausted from cranking out upper echelon units for your customers? Not trolling by the way. Other than the Bruce Jenner, that unit is stout and sweet.

    Are the Allison 10 speed available for 567s with X15 Cummins And What’s the highest torque rating on the 10 speed if so?

    • @Jerzeyguy
      @Jerzeyguy 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Chris Moody 1850 torque for 4500 rds. Which is a 6 speed.
      4700 rds will take 2050 torque
      Which has a creeper gear.
      Hope that helped you.

    •  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jersey Guy Unless something has Changed, 1850 Torque is the Highest Rating you can get with a Allison, doesn't matter if it is a 4500RDS or a 4700RDS which are both Heavy Application Transmissions. That's is information that a couple different Kenworth & Western Star Dealers have told Me when Spec'ing them. I was told that you Cannot Get a 2050TQ Motor with a Allison Transmission. In a different comment someone else asked why the 1850TQ, Peterbilt Steven said the same thing.
