- The Ford 8870 (affectionately known to us as Big Henry) joined the fleet at the start of 2020. Of course we haven't been able to execute most of the missions we had planned but Donkey and Gazza still have plenty to say about this tractor that's very quickly become a very popular member of the team!

From a sq tw to her back n the day must have been unreal. Still a serious tractor today and as capable of any modern tractor of today , a design that will never age way ahead of there time they really were the last of the great fords 💪🇨🇦🇮🇪
got to love these old tractors. no computer start-up and waiting for it to decied what it wants to do just turn key and away you go. would love to see another challenge film with those big bruisers and plenty of black smoke plus the great sound of old straight sixes.
At last! The 1 I’ve been waiting for. How can you not smile whilst driving that beauty.
Really enjoying the 12 tractors of Christmas, great idea.
Great tractors we had 2 8770 and 8870 supersteer. Got to love the way they start , computer sort of says started ok here's a gallon of diesel to make sure! Also all the diagnostics are accessible from the dashboard no laptops here. Although we did used to play bingo with the fault codes each day!
Best 12 days, I've seen! Please do this every year a wrap up of the year for each tractor!

They are still making tractors at the factory in Winnipeg. The Versatile Nemesis is the descendant of the old Genesis. They make the Kubota M8 there as well. These are great videos by the way!

I'm looking for a G or a 70 series to replace my Ford 8340 :) Great looking tractor :D
A bit same here... I always thought the Genesis was named for a "beginning" for Versatile in the straight frame tractor, but also for a new start for Ford (and maybe Fiat too), and a new venture for Caterpillar and Class (as Challenger). I think the engineers from those five companies came up with something that could compete the Magnum. But they should let off of the super-steer and throw all this wasted work into front-suspension as I'm sure they all knew this was coming and should have took the lead on this.

@@zaihami5185 Hi, correct Carraro is not owned by Deere. Funk is, I wanted to know if the Genesis had a Carraro front axle. The Powerstar engine was 330hp in a combine I am told. I should have been more detailed with my comment. Best regards

@@RST1600 Hi, possibly in the past, but Funk became a Deere company in 1989. Same time, give or take a year or two New Holland was purchased by Ford. If you have any firm facts to confirm I would like to know. A day or so ago I learnt that the same tractor out of Winnipeg was also sold as a Agco White model. Very best regards
@@tynewydd100 Hi. I was lucky enough to go around the Winnipeg factory, when they were building the G 70 series. They were just switching to Nh on the bonnet at the time. Shortly after I read it in the profi magazine that newholland had acquired shares in Funk. Just done a google search, but couldn’t find anything there about it. I never knew they built the Agco machine at Winnipeg. Certainly didn’t spot any when I was there
All the tractors are good but where is the fiat
The fiat was given away as part of a charity raffle... these 12 tractors are all currently on the grassmen fleet.
