The 14th placed lookalike woman changed singing key twice in the first four lines which is why Bill looks at her askance early on not believing what he is hearing. Then the professional shines through and he goes with her, and with her, and with her. Priceless.

I know I'm replying to my own comment, but I love this clip so much I just had to say it! My favourite bits are right at the end when she's singing, and he makes the keyboard go up and down in pitch, then does the dee-dee-dee-dee-dee at the end! Absolute genius - you really have no idea how pleased I am that this is now on youtube! (And now on my HD :D)

Bill did a mock song of Lady in Red, I forget what it was called now. Bitches and scary women, or something like that. It was only a joke, as he mocks U2 for example for their music, yet admires their work when off stage, because he obviously listens to their music to know it so intimately. But anyway, Chris then went on radio and called Bill some horrible things, and mocked his appearance. Bill, in response, on 'never mind the buzzcocks' spewed a collection of insults back.
Poor Chris. :)

@MartinsRulez There's a difference between not liking something, and launching a personal attack on somebody, I can take it that Bill does not like Chris, I don't like a lot of things but I do not attack and demeen them in the way Bill has.

they were covers but done well by good singers. Apart from the recent 'footsteps' album, chris has mainly done his own songs and all of his major hits were his own compositions, another reason, quite rightly pointed out by yourself, that you can't compare him to x factor contestants. innovation is more important if you don't mind your group folding and having to rely on putting down good singers for a cheap laugh. :o)
