"True devotion, he said, is to remain as one really is, in the state of being in which all ideas about relationships with God have ceased to exist."
    Sri Ramana Maharshi 🧡

You are amazing, you are unique, you can face anything in life, you have the inner strength to overcome any obstacle, loss or situation. You are not alone, you are loved, you have the right to feel bad and good, you have the right to feel. Be blessed by these positive vibes and live your life to the fullest. I am sending my love to the universe so that I can reach you.

The last statement is very important. Surrender, when done with a motive is not complete surrender. It has to be done with no expectation of anything in return. Even the desire for grace or self-realization can be an obstacle to complete surrender.

Surrender means to give oneself up to the source one’s own being. One should not imagine one’s source to be some God outside oneself. This means to seek the source and merge in it. Discrimination or Viveka is the primary means for realisation of oneself as *existence shining as awareness/consciousness* You must understand yourself to be a partless whole - THE WHOLE - and from this position~less position, location~less location that one is the knowing principle and that what one knows depends completely upon that knower, and more importantly I as the conscious knower do not depend upon any objects meaning any thoughts, feelings or perceptions and therefore am beyond what seemingly happens in life always.

Hello friend! You can become an engineer and serve God through your work. Furthermore, it is important to find time to seek God through spiritual practices such as meditation and prayer, in the morning when waking up and before going to sleep. And during work, think that you are doing everything for Him and delivering His will 🙏🏼✨😊 Hope this helps.

Surrendering to God means surrendering control, including that of thoughts; but I would like to know if that also applies for someone who has compulsive destructive thoughts
I have seen thoughts manifest in dangerous ways ... the fear that they actually manifest is what's keeping me from totally surrendering control on them
    thanks in advance

Hello! I believe that not only can we but we must learn to control the mind and our thoughts. God helps those who help themselves. That's why Ramana Maharshi advised God's devotees to keep their devotional practices, as they help us to have this self-control. The chatty egoic mind cannot control the chatty egoic mind/memory, but it can be observed by our highest self, seen for what it is and put in proper order. Our spiritual self using the chatty egoic mind/memory and temporary physical body as a tool. Unfortunately for most the chatty egoic mind/memory runs the show most of the time.
Do you know why many who meditate observe their breathing. This is a very profound practice . One's breathing is in the now, and exercises observation rather than thinking, which helps create inner silence. Observing one's breath calms and slows the breathing which has an affect of calming the mind. One's breath is what connects our Spiritual self to this temporary physical body. No breath and one's physical body will die. (Unless one has reached the breathless state in which the breathing is either very shallow and non perceptible or stops for short periods living off of Gods energy.) This practice teaches one to live in the now instead of their thinking mind most of time, and will not miss many things life put in front of them, they would have before. They will have greater and more accurate perception, awareness, peace, expanding love, bliss and more.
Although God is omnipresent, our highest self is not what we observe whether a flower, our temporary physical body, a thought (when the thought stops, our awareness does not stop), nor are we the lower chatty egoic mind. We are the awareness of all of those. Or existence, awareness (the witness), and peace/bliss. In a very still lake, there is calmness and peace. From that calmness and stillness, it is easy to see where the wave starts (thoughts) and it's effects. My Spiritual teacher used to say to me -"To realize who you truly are is the exact reverse process of creation."
The lower chatty egoic mind/memory categorizes everything, so it separates you from me, from God, from direct perception. Have you ever looked at something for the 1st time when you were younger? So nothing to compare it to or judge it by. Just pure observation and wonder. This is your higher self. When you go into thought which is made up of the past and can project into the future. You stop or limit observation and direct perception. When speaking with a friend or relative, have you ever wanted to respond to what they said, so you hold on to what you want to say, and do not hear a lot of what they say after that? Instead of trusting you will respond correctly? Become aware of such things. Practicing observing your breath can help exercise the right part of you to do this. You can do it meditating, in bed, driving or almost any time.
Although our egoic mind/memory contains our wisdom learned, it is also full of illusion, delusion and error. Some of the things we went through when younger were not seen clearly and causes many to react inappropriately to this day. Instead of acting with clear insight.

The whole "cease to exist" thing is a false teaching. It contradicts decades of scientific psychological knowledge. Maharshi knew nothing about psychology, object relations, ego development, etc. He like all Advaita Vedanta devotees was Realized at the level of Being but not at the level of the Soul. One must develop and realize the Soul and at the Being level and the 2 become 1. G-d doesn't want you to "cease to exist". You have been evolving over many lifetimes to become the person you are today.

    • @mastersofeternity
      @mastersofeternity  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

It is understandable that there are different interpretations and perspectives on spiritual teachings, such as those of Ramana Maharshi and Advaita Vedanta. Maharshi taught the dissolution of the ego for the realization of the Self, but this does not mean nullifying the personality or experiences that make us human. Instead, it is about transcending exclusive identification with the ego to access a deeper dimension of our being. This does not necessarily contradict personal or psychological development, but it suggests that, beyond personality evolution, there is a more fundamental reality. The union of Soul and Self, as mentioned, can be seen as the integration of these seemingly distinct but complementary aspects of human existence. It is important to consider that each spiritual path offers its own tools and insights for inner growth and fulfillment.

God is a verb ...not a noun.
Nouns have limits in Space/ Time.
You can know Godness but not God...as God is a thought while Godness is beyond Thought and Mind.
To know Godness is to know the Eternal. Beyond Beginnings, Beyond Endings, Beyond Measurement.

      Ramana Maharshi thinks different:
Swami Lokesananda ( a sannyasi ) : Is it possible to speak to Ishwara ( Persoanl God ) as Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa did [ with Mother KALI ] ?
Sri Bhagavan : When we speak to each other, why should we not speak to Ishwara, in the same way ?
D.: Then, why does it not happen with us ?
Sri Bhagavan : It requires 'puriy', 'strength of mind' and 'practice in meditation'.
D.: Does God become evident if the above conditions exist ?
Sri Bhagavan : Such manifestations is as real as your own reality. In other words, when you identify yourself with the body as in the waking state, you see gross objects. When in subtle body or in mental plane as in the dreaing state, you see objects equally subtle. In the absence of identification as in deep sleep state, you see nothing. The objects 'seen' bear a relation to the state of the 'seer'. The same applies to visions of God.
By long practice the figure of God, as meditated upon, appears in dream and may later appear in the waking state also.
