Appreciate the comment! I would disagree on a few points though. 1) You saying politely. I would say I had politely brung out her cultural perspectives as well as she did mine. Thats not exposing anything. Exposing has an negative connotation to it. I don't see that happening here. 2) I am American so I would think like an American. So with that statement you suggesting Americans have a bad mindset. I don't. The simple fact I invited her shows I am open to learning and have a positive mindset. 3) I have interviewed a lot of Brazilians. I have probably interviewed well over 50 or more by now and she sounds like a typical Brazilian which isn't a bad thing. A person from their country will most likely sound like most other people from their country in general. 4) I had a talk with her after and she changed her tone. So I saw the conversation for what it was. There was no game of chess play here. Just two people having a conversation of about cultures. This is your subjective iteration of this event, it is nonetheless a comment that has overshadowed what should have been two people just having a conversation without negativity or exposing.
Odara is a very nice and lovely girl. But for the brothers who dreams having that type of mixed afro latina forget about it ! She clearly prefers white dudes like most black or mixed brazilian women. Concerning the racism and the white washing in Brazil, it's seems Auston was definately right.... LOL
