I do that to bots in my lobby all the time not even hackers I'll just admire the specimen.
When a game is free, and cheats costs less than the cheapest cosmetics with the punishment is you have to make a new e-mail to play again, there's nothing discouraging cheaters from populating the game. A full priced game that had everything available with a smaller playerbase seemed much better at punishing cheaters.
the issue with that is that these are all stolen accounts and the cheaters probably buy them for the cost you would have paid for ow1 initially
You need a phone number as well. Its not just new email.
There is a lot of account buying going on before the cheats are even installed.

Hours ago I played Sombra. I was invisible, alone, and a Cassidy headshot me from like 30meters. There was nothing behind or near me, he wasn't aiming at anybody else. Great experience!!
As a hanzo player I would like to apologize to all the sombra’s I’ve accidentally head shot while missing a shot on their support.

They do ban waves and the team is off for christmas. Ban waves make it harder for cheaters to work around an anti cheat.

That’s mostly a lie. Cheaters always make up a story and try to deflect the blame or try to mitigate the fact that they’re garbage at the game by saying “oh everyone is cheating so it’s not a big deal”.

@7:50 - He hears the Echo behind him, turns and starts aiming high expecting them to be in the air. Sees through the wallhacks that they are not and corrects his crosshair for the Echo on the ground instead. So obvious.
The reason why he locked onto a team mate might be because many cheats nowadays use AI to detect targets (which makes them fully external from the game and way harder to detect).

I watched this live and everyone was spamming “Live Content!” As someone who don’t get to go to a lot of Flats’s streams, this was joyous. Watching this while building my Hades Megatron. It. Was. EPIC.
dude reminds me of a guy I had in one of my comp games where dude straight up didnt wanna do any damage cause a Mei jokingly walled off a doorway for less than a half second lol. Avoiding dealing damage the exact same way, being way too far back out of sight and pretending to run when pushed XD
Swear this guy was playing cass in my gold comp game the other night. Was absolutely getting rolled, booped him off with lucio like 4 times then started hitting repeated across the map headshots but if you pressed him he just fanned the hammer constantly.
I was playing costume game(endless dungeon) and there was a guy hacking,at first we didn't know anything until one if my friends start spectating me and he asked the guy : what gaming chair r u using , no one got what he meant except the guy who was hakcking, well at the end when he was bored he made one of the bosses impossible to kill then left( and yes we lost all progress)
Edit: i checked this guys prof and he had more than 500h in costume game and less than 5h in both comp and QP

Last Friday I had two different aim aimboters who duod with a support… I don’t remember their name but this was low gm high masters. The sad thing is no one in my team said anything. They just assume the guy was owning

I've been having some trouble with cheaters lately too. I'm between silver and gold and sometimes this player with perfect accuracy appears but he still has poor positioning.

The only instance of cheating in Overwatch that I've encountered wasn't even in-game.
Someone I just met said she plays Overwatch, too. I asked who she mained and she said Soldier. I wasn't suspicious at all. After all, there are legitimate Soldier mains in the wild. Got around to talking about strategies and teamwork when she said that she has none. She just goes in and kills everyone.
I'm no pro player. Matter of fact, I'm only high gold. However, "just running in and killing everyone" is not an effective strategy, especially at the rank this woman claimed to be... Which was Master/GM.
I asked how the hell that works for her and she just casually drops that she has a strong aimbot and wallhacks. I have never lost my respect for another gamer so quickly without ever seeing them play before. I have never talked to that person again.
I’m obsessed with Overwatch cheaters getting exposed. Years ago at this point I had a friend who got caught by me rage cheating as Ashe in one of my games. We drew the game, my whole friend group of almost 100 people mass reported him, he got banned and then we all blocked him on every social media platform. It’s one of my favorite gaming memories.
Edit: seems like all the closeted OW cheaters are mad that we cut off our friend for doing that. Skill issue. Just don’t cheat.

If you’re willing to cheat in a video game you show yourself to be an untrustworthy person and I can only imagine what else you’re doing that we don’t know about. It was an irl friendship of many years too so we were sad to cut him off but at the end of the day that’s just a skill issue on his part. He didn’t HAVE to cheat.

Bro I have artic 7 headset and it's equalizer is tuned to fps specifically. In ow I can hear people walking across the map. The headset is fucking busted along with the sound carrying. That ain't gonna help you land constant head shots.

I don’t understand a lot of peoples reactions to cheating, and I wonder if that makes them get away with more. I complain about suspected cheating (sometimes too much, I’ll admit) but I have a friend who would watch this and would assume they’re just really good at aiming, and man it makes me frustrated.

I know you said this looks like a plat that actually plays the game, but personally from the way he takes 1v1s, I think he might be a Valorant/CS player that just watches a lot of OW, started actually playing, and felt they should be better right off the bat. While the game sense/understanding is decent, the gameplay itself is very un-Overwatch-y.
I feel like this guy turned up his sensitivity just so he can turn his camera faster and only needs to rely on his aimbot to hit shots, which is why his movements seem so wonky. Cause he's not used to how high the sensitivity is.

I logged in the other day. The game informed me that 2 people I reported got punished for hacking. Overwatch needs valorant’s system to end the game and ban immediately.
Young kids are getting Visa gift cards from grandparents. I'm sure that's why you're seeing a big increase in cheaters. These kids think they can get GM if they had good aim but mommy and daddy won't give them the credit card. But now they have a shiny card that can actually get those cheats they've wanted. They don't need to spend it on anything else because parents/grandparents already buy them everything they want. They just aren't willing to pay $50+ to someone on discord for cheats.
