Other then the marriage issues, the Contrary family’s dysfunction and Luis’s babysitting skills, Desiderata seems to have a strong sense of community and looking out for eachother that I’m sure the Pleasant family here appreciates! Even John got to contribute in a important if risky way; since he’s a shy popularity sim I can imagine that he’s happy to be able to help out a potential friend (who he seems to fancy~) too 😃 If Pandora’s grandpa’s Buzz and Daniel ever meet her they’d probably be happy about her maxing her body skill at a young age, given their own active personalities and jobs XD

First time commenting. Just had to say what a great series! The way you've developed Lilith's personality based on her traumatic upbringing and terrible relationship with her parents is perfect. Her own childhood was awful so she's doing her best to make her children happy. But she can't help making poor choices and adding to her own difficulties. Always looking for Mr. Right yet having things go terribly wrong! Looking forward to the devopments in DV!

Oh I adore little Carmilla - she's cute as a button ❤ and what a cool turn of events that Lilith will be forced to find blood for her. Loved the scene at the end - you're so great at making the flow appear completely seamless. The way you handled the kitchen scene was really great for this reason and also when Lilith and John were walking and talking at the same time at the end. It's truly so impressive how far your machinima skills have developed in such a short time ⭐️
thank you so much Ani! the one thing I am annoyed aobut is I meant to have her in her pajamas the whole time, but forgot to change her outfit at the grocery shop XD the walking and talking was tricky to film as I'm sure you're aware, it's soooo mcuh easier to deal with sims who are just standing still haha!
@katatty oooh I can definitely relate to that; both the outfit issue and the walk+talk - that's definitely difficult to make look good without hunched backs or strange arm movements so huge kudos. There's so many little details to take into consideration when filming machinima scenes to make things consistent so it's really easy to miss something like an outfit or something changing/accidentally showing in the background. The worst thing is finishing up recording and then coming back the next day to edit, only to realise something must be reshot because of something small (but important) like that 😅

I know I rave about your machinima bits almost every episode but this time I want to comment that you do such a good job with the scripting! Like during gameplay it’s the same old sims 2 animations we love and expect, but then you do a machinima scene and the lines you write are the perfect mix of realism and sims 2 quirkiness, and you can really feel the chemistry between the characters and it sucks me in! I love it! Would you ever consider attempting a machinima series one day? You have a real talent for it 💙
thank you, that really means a lot! I am so glad you feel the balance is right between realism and sims-2-ish-ness, that's one of my main goals. to be honest I have trouble writing dialouge for these cutscnes sometimes, I tend to be quite wordy but have to cut it down so it fits into the animation/audio naturally! i always feel sad about the lines i have to cut lol I have consdiered a machinia series a few times but am not sure if I would have the patience to make a full lengh one, haha, even these 5 minute cutscenes take a long time! I also tend to be inspired by gameplay and like incorperating it into my stories (like in my tumblr stories, too, I do posed pictures occasionally but mostly write dialouge & prose to go with normal gameplay screenshots). I enjoy actually playing the game more than using it like a TV set, if that makes sense? But I do also enjoy making these machinima bits, so who knows! maybe someday if i had a really fun concept for one and lots of free time :D
seeing how beautiful your desiderata valley is is pushing me to make a megahood of the expansion pack hoods with it and your riverblossom hills omg... i already have a base game megahood but decided against a complete uberhood because that'd be a nightmare to progress in rotationally loool
