      @dbone3356 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@johnspooner1403 I want to correct you, but I'm not even sure what you're claiming.
A Bloody Caesar is not a thing. It is called a Caesar. They aren't 2 seperate things. If you call it that they might think you're American and are confusing the 2 drinks Bloody Mary and Caesar. Regardless of how much, or how little garnish (or salad as the Brits like to call all vegetables for some reason) or what the garnish is, it's just a Caesar.
Like... The tomato juice is what makes the Bloody Mary, bloody, right? So, I am interested to hear your theory on what a "Caesar" would be made with then? That it wouldn't be "bloody" unless asked for it? But according to you it's a celery stick or some olives or something? Wasn't aware that vegetables bled. Besides tomatoes, hence, etc and so forth.

@@dbone3356 - Geez, that’s a lot to unpack, but I’ll give it a go. Yes, the original name of the cocktail is “Bloody Caesar”. I’m old enough (fuckin’ old) to remember that. It was concocted as a variation of the bloody mary. Order it however it pleases you. I’m not sure what your garnish rant is about, but the “bloody” part of a caesar derives from the clamato juice that forms much of the drink and gives it the red colour. Clam nectar and tomato juice equals clamato juice. Basic. I threw in the Central American reference because even though much of the USA has never heard of one, Mexican and Costa Rican resorts are familiar with Canadians and their caesars. They keep the clamato well stocked. Here endeth the lesson.

Heinz stop making ketchup in Canada, French's then took over making ketchup from Canadian tomato.
French's mustard is made from Canadian mustard seed, ketchup was the obvious next step.
Michael Buble didnt mention all dressed chips, another Canadian favorite..
We also have amazing chocolate bars, our chocolate tastes more British than American.
Tim hortons has cereal, they have chocolate, vanilla and mocha as the donut flavors.

    He's pretty accurate on this.
Beavertails are more of an eastern thing and he's a western boy so I'm not real surprised he's not familiar, but they are amazing. Kinda like a flat, light donut with toppings, but better.
Canadian bacon will do in a pinch, but it's not nearly as good as your standard crispy bacon strips.
Poutine is great, but only if you don't care about your weight.
I'm honestly surprised that ketchup chips are not more popular in the U.S.
Maple syrup is nectar of the gods.

Stuff Canadians call Canadian-food inspires a drink, the Mooseknuckle: gin, vermouth, a squirt of ranch, a dash of worschestershire-sauce and a slug of V8 or bloody-mary-mix, garnish with a rhubarb stalk, a sprig of cilantro, and a pinch of good salt; but give me credit as source.

Maybe it's bc I'm from Detroit that some of these are familiar. I love Uncle Rays ketchup chips.
First had Hawaiian pizza in a bar in downtown Detroit in the early 70s. I was sold. I make it vegan and gluten free. But it should really be made on Detroit style pizza which that was not.
Detroit pizza settles the whole Chicago vs NY thing.
I associate Vietnamese food with Winsor bc of the great food in their Asian district. Better than any I've had this side of the Bridge.

I buy 12 (canadian 6/5 of American) gallons of maple syrup every year.I get it from someone who makes it ,so it's only 40-45 CAD / gal.I use almost no honey and maybe 20-30 lb. of white sugar /year Most of the sugar in maple products is sucrose anyway, same as cane ,so I'm not sure it makes much difference except for flavour and that's a big difference MMMMMMMM!! If you've not had maple butter on toast go get some NOW!!! ALSO just in the last couple years there's a guy in Montreal making ,like Eagle Brand sweet evaporated milk sweetened with 100% maple sugar AWESOME :on toast:in porridge :straight out of the can with a spoon . Name's Martin Picard, don't know if you can get it anywhere else it costs 2x as much as Eagle ,but worth it MMMMM!!!
