Charles Kernaghan (the man that was speaking with the men who had amputated limbs from the job) is such an amazing human. Back in the 90’s he snuck into the sweatshops of various corporations to uncover and expose how the workers were being treated. Even though his findings are heartbreaking, his passion for human rights and the treatment of workers is heartwarming ❤️
They wouldn't if their government did something about it. This is why India is one of the biggest global carbon emissions contributors. People can do all they can to minimize carbon footprints, but it's futile while countries like India and China produce exponentially more greenhouse gasses.

Their culture never valued human life or that would be reflected by their society. This is common. Other nations which don't care will continue to sell them ships because Europe doesn't run the world and no one else cares about workers.
I have never in my life been so saddened and sick to my core to see what these poor souls have to go through every single day say they can eat, feed their families, survive!
The working condition can definitely be regulated and improved. The employers must take social responsibility adequately, not to just maximize their profits.
It seems Bangladesh Government is well aware of that and still allowing it to happen ?? Edit: Workers don't know there rights, no workers/labour union, compensation 😱😢😭??There is clearly no workplace/occupational health and safety, law enforcement, worksite inspections etc ??? I wonder if workers ever heard of Workplace Health and Safety ?

The only reason America and other 1st world countries don't have working conditions like this is because they couldn't get away with it. These poor souls in 3rd world countries have no one looking out for them so they're subject to whatever heartless employers come along. Also in 1st world countries we know what it's like to have basic standards of safety and pay, these people do not and because of that they'll take any abuse. I'll admit I complain a lot when it comes to the workforce, pay, and the current cost of living and I know it can be MUCH worse so I am thankful, but still, all over the world we're being exploited and taken advantage of. Some of us have it better, others have it much worse. But even in America the way things are going it's likely that we could turn into a 3rd world country.
Basic ppe would be a start, the owners make enough so they should be forced to supply each man with at the very least, boots, gloves and safety glasses. I can't even access my place of work without a high vis and pass, and thats just to get to my locker in the changing room!
When you have a billion people packed into a smaller country, its common sense to understand the value of life decreases and the wage decreases. This is purely a product of three things: Government corruption Powerful companies that are smart enough to use a system that allows them to save money by utilizing a country thats hyper saturated with people. They did this to themselves.
i can lay in my bed and do some online surveys for a hour and make 3-4 Dollars its SICK. They have to work hours and risk their life and maybe make the same amount.
another 3rd world country that Australia will want to rescue... but what about the same kinds of working environment's here in our own country not one of our government cares about.. why cause they pay us more??? stop trying to solve world problems if you cant solve your own country issues... yes very sad they have to work like this, but its the people like the ship yard owner who make this happen, paying low wages, no safety, no care.. why aren't they held accountable for this. instead of other countries having to step up..??? this is why we have the united nations and place.... why not educate them to stop this from proceeding , its generational so make the new generation realize times changed and they need more money.. there is millions of people make a stand and i bet they change their ways quickly... majority rules remember
