This is so weird because in 1965 I was 5 and this was my go to cartoon, lol, flashback, genius, sarcastic dog, I like to think I picked up a lot from Mr Peabody.
Unfortunately, Magellan himself didn't make it around the world. He was killed in what is now known as the Philippines. Captain Juan Sebastian Elcano assumed command of the expedition. Of the 270 men who left with Magellan, only 19 eventually returned to Spain.
According to a PBS-TV [US] program "Secrets of the Dead" episode about Magellan, the single ship that made it back to Spain had enough exotic cargo items, such as spices, that the investors for the voyage were paid back and even got a profit out of it.
It is said that a native of the S. Pacific was the first person to actually make it all around the world. He started from his homeland and ended up on Magellan's cruise. After all the troubles, he made it back home.

Sherman didn't even react to that bad pun.
A flush is not a strai(gh)t.
"flush" wasn't a hand back in the day. It couldn't beat a high card.
