5:15, I thought the Logic compressor does have a dry/wet mix knob. So you can at least adjust the amount from 100% to 0%...or do you mean you would rather have 2 separate controls for the dry signal and the wet signal (like Fab Filter Pro-C)?

This means your db when mixing wasn't properly done most times, You might have to go back to mixing and try to get it right from there.

It's always better to record without effect then process after recording, except you really know what you're doing.

@@worldwaveradio_ agreed, but depending on the style of the artist you might want to have Auto tune on the signal going to their headphones, because I think it could allow them to subtlely adjust their singing style so it will sound good with the Auto tune. Same way you might want to give them some reverb in their headphones. Plus, if their voice sounds better to them then it can help ginger their vibe too. But of course actually record the dry signal so you can adjust everything perfectly later in the mix
