As a gardener in Scotland myself I can absolutely appreciate just how much effort cutting hedges of this size takes, it's very very wearing on the arms and shoulders, not to mention the back after a while, anyone who has never reduced hedges hasn't felt the pain of trying to smash through those branches endlessly, so a very very well done to you guys, you made it look effortless, but we know it wasn't!!
This is another job where my jaw drops every now and then. You walk through the tuja like it's nothing. Like cutting through butter with a knife. The stuff is really tough. And at this working height...Are your shoulders made of steel? The cherry laurel is a nightmare. So stubborn and difficult to get into good shape. You both are truly masters in your field! I'm looking forward to more videos from 2024. 😊
Thank you very much, it was a bit of a struggle with the Laurel as I didn't appreciate the amount of work involved, but the Thuja hedge was cut back quite quickly. I was actually quite tired after the job, although you can't see it on the video!😅

The owner of that property is a good person, and you earned every bit of your money. Getting a customer like that makes up for the occasional one who tried to scam you after the work is completed. I'm still mad at that one customer who claimed you didn't do enough work! I just thought of something as to why we haven't seen you in little while. It's winter where you are as it is here. Sometimes my brain starts stripping gears!

I just realized that I neglected to leave you a comment! 😮 And, of course, I've now forgotten all the things I had meant to say. It was a beautiful job, but a demanding one, with both you and your assistant working flat out. What a change! The clients have a beautiful home and lovely yard. And now their hedges complete the picture, as any good frame completes the artwork within its bounds. I see the clients are very nice people who have left such a complimentary note for you! And paid you well besides. I love when your true value is appreciated. How many others would have done such a precise job on the hedges and stayed to be sure the full clean up was complete - even after darkness fell? 💚🌿💚
I like to see people work so methodically. I can't watch when they jump from one place to another and then go back again it's so irritating, but even when you cleared up the cuttings you had a perfect method. The hedges are so straight,not easy when working by eye. Superb job well done

Good to see another video from you. I could watch you gardening all day. The houses are beautiful, such steep roofing for snow. I think those windows are very common in Europe, when we visited Italy they were triple glazed. I love how they open out and they can be changed to open in other directions. See that's why I like your channel, takes me back to Europe. Some unusual design houses and everyone's gardens look immaculate. I'd rather be in a cold climate. You're lucky. We are sweltering through a searing heat wave at the moment. In the 40°C+ each day. The gardens really struggle and most plants and lawn get burnt from the sun's rays.

Hear I go crying again, those cuttings were so gorgeous, green, and healthy 40:54. So sad they ended up being cut and put in that truck. And it looks like since it was dark, they had to stay in that truck all night compacted and miserable. I so wish I could have saved them. Poor babies they never asked to have this happen to them. So unfair and cruel. My game plan would have been to rescue those poor cuttings as they sat overnight in that trailer after being walked on and compacted because I know in the morning those darling would be taken to the dump site. They would be coming home with me and propagated and loved of course.

I was shocked at how much the homeowner wanted those hedges trimmed back! But a beautiful job as always ❤❤ Do neighbors there share the cost of trimming and upkeep of shared hedges? Here it's a common practice (and courtesy) for good neighbors to share the cost of building and maintaining mutual fences. Or, if they can't reach an agreement on style or cost the house that pays puts the fence entirely within its property line -- and puts the "bad/ugly" side facing the other yard. Absolutely spectacular pruning work by the both of you!!! You to have extraordinary talents and are meticulous in the way you execute them on each property! The results speak for themselves, and you have both managed to combine craftsmanship, artistry and pruning , with an incredible work ethic not often found these days. Some of the finest pruning work I have seen anywhere, you guys are amazing! The people I was mentored by in the Netherlands many years ago had similar abilities and a comparable work ethic. I learned from some of the best artisan landscape contractors in the Netherlands, and it has served me well for over 40 years. Thanks for sharing your videos with all of us. and you have both managed to combine
craftsmanship, artistry and pruning , with an
incredible work ethic not often found these
days. Some of the finest pruning work I have
seen anywhere, you guys are amazing!
The people I was mentored by in the
Netherlands many years ago had similar
abilities and a comparable work ethic. I
learned from some of the best artisan
landscape contractors in the Netherlands,
and it has served me well for over 40 years.
