To add I like this Hachette model for the hull being in metal - plastic for me is not such a durable material over the long term....just my thought. I also like that the parts are already painted and the hull finish looks very good. I'm going to follow you all through this Titanic build as I like your sincerity and knowledge - thank you! Peter
I’d be interested if the model includes the grand staircase. One interesting fact about the titanic’s staircase is: the picture of the grand staircase that people believe is the titanic’s staircase is in-fact the picture of the Olympic’ grand staircase. The reason is myth that the white star line would only take pictures of new editions to their ships and as Olympic and Titanic’s staircase was identical, no one bothered.
There are a lot of pics that claim to be of titanic that are actually of the Olympic and the Britanic, even news reel footage cant really be trusted , some parts were given a temporary black wash so they would stand out on film better
I did find the decking veneer wood did not stick very well right near the bow in the middle of the veneer but not too bad. I did satin varnish the deck which gives it a nice lustre. Yes the hatch is disappointing in that it is missing the port holes and the two smaller access hatches on the top of it. I will add these. Very good points you raise about colour ways as I was concerning myself as I have seen differing Titanic models in differing colours in places across varying deck fitments / furniture.
Hey, I thought it might help your channel out a lot, if you had playlists for your different builds, I saw 2, but the R2d2 isn't up to date. I think new viewers will find their way around the channel better like that. Great video as usual 😁

Mine appears to be fine but adding an extra coat of gorrila glue or loctite to the future decking couldn't hurt
