My Jack Russell Jazzy passed away Jan. 2022. I had her for almost 15 years. I have never been so heartbroken in my life! I still miss her so much! I knew she was special, but I now realize how much joy and happiness not to mention companionship she brought me. RIP sweet girl...someday I know we will see each other again
I just lost my demonic and possessive male JRT just 4 weeks ago. The first 2 years were tough but we made it and our relationship grew stronger each day. He was only 10 , far too young to 🌈 but I have adjusted to his absence. I take comfort in having his ashes close by.

I lost my beautiful girl and best friend JRT two years ago. Heartbreaking 💔 she was with me for 17 years. So wise, kind and always up for adventure and cuddles in the sofa. She helped me through so many times when life was too hard. I Iove her so and she will always be with me. One of a kind dog❤️.
Now I have a new friend her little brother and he is such a joy and love in our life. Glad I was able and brave enough to open our home to a new puppy ❤
@lotus ... I understand completely! I'm still not quite there, to get another dog. I know nothing will replace Jazzy cuz , she was a special smart dog. I do know that I'm still left feeling empty without her. Maybe someday I can open my heart again, and life will be better with a loyal sidekick again! HAGD!

Some dogs are just too good for humans. It's wonderful to see this kind of love between owners and their pets. The sad part is when they have to leave us. Grief is the price we pay for the loss of those loving friends and it leaves a hole in our hearts. My favorite cat has been been gone fifty years but I still love that gentle boy and hope someday I will see him again. ❤️

There is one point where women and men are perfectly equal. It is the love that their pets have for them and the love that we dedicate to them.
When I was 8, my dad brought home a female Doberman Pinscher puppy. We did everything together and she was so smart. When I was 20, I was home on leave from the USMC, and she climbed up into my bed, out her head on my chest, and died. I sure do miss you, Heidi.

They are our children that give us nothing , but love and loyalty asking only to be loved in return.
This is how dogs should be love! Every dog in the world deserves these kind of home w a human to love and to be loved.
My Pug Sassy passed away several years ago. She was my little buddy. Always by my side. She would sleep with her head laying somewhere on me. Best sleep partner I ever had. Not a day goes by that I don't miss her.
I had a dog too, she was not a dog, but a Princess.

I think pets just want to be loved and treated with kindness but they give us so much more in return. Pets are not judgemental, prejudiced or snobs.

I can recall my life by the pets I have had, they are essentially the chapters of my life and I can't imagine a world without my dogs and cats

Find a friend's dog you like and "dog sit" for the afternoon, or take them to the dog park. There were a couple families where I used to live who joked they shared a dog. Dog would sleep & eat at his house, but spend the day with a lady in the neighborhood and her dog. Everybody's happy & gets attention. Maybe you could do dog walking for company & to make extra money
We have programs where shelters allow you to foster for life. They pay the vet bills. That’s what I will need to do if I outlive my dog.

We used to have a golden retriever, and she was sure that she was human and could understand hundreds of English words. Super smart friendly to everybody, such a joy to have in the family. She was so excited when I brought home a dog (collie).

New dog in my life..best thing ever. Dogs are not pets, they are endless reasons to smile. I also have 4 kids. Love them all. The dog wins the high-enthusiasm, low-expectation category. Kids lose out only because we taught them how to speak.
The dachshund one comforting the man got me. I just put my baby to sleep right before Christmas. She was a special dog and I miss her so much. Hold your baby today. Time goes so fast.

Sweet, I recall how a friend's dog who I was second home to, could tell when I was in terrible pain when I had cancer. He was out of sorts and kept nuzzling me, it was a great comfort even as I struggled with the worst pain of my life.

I brought my doggie to see a friend who was in the last stages of liver cancer. Usually, he jumps right up on people. He stepped OVER her, as if he sensed that her tummy hurt.

Our dog is 10 and just the most goodest boi you could imagine.
We only have him since 1.1.23 because he was adopted, but we love him so much and he is part of our family.
He just got diagnosed with cancer and I really hope he has still a lot of time with us.

This was hard to pick out the one you like more than the others. I just loved them all, but that little dog dancing at the door was pretty darn cute. I have this little dog name Toby. He bit me for 5 days, then on the 6th day he comes up to me. I think he was telling he was sorry, and he wanted me to be his mommy. Well, we worked it out and he's my little buddy now. We're in love with each other.
