- Part 2 of my insane metal detecting treasure hunt! It was definitely a silver coin bonanza, they were everywhere! Always gotta have a metal detector in the car, just never know when you're gonna get an urge to knock on someones door and start digging. ;-)

Working on another video for tomorrow. My passion for cranking out videos and detecting hard comes in waves. So as always I'll ride it while it lasts. LOL. Next video isn't as "silvery" but I still found some cool old stuff! :-) Will aim to post at 1 PM EST.
JD's Variety Channel you spoke the other day about showing videos maybe even tho you don't find anything good. I think it's a great idea because it shows that you don't always hit the jackpot.

Like everyone else, I'm going with a thimble, haven't found one yet, but of the one's I watched dug up, the shape looks right.

JD, the divot repair tool is fairly modern. As a golfer, you carry that so when you hit a ball onto the green, it puts a dent (divot) into the ground, so you use that tool to fluff the ground/grass back up so it doesn't mess up anyone's putting line.

Looks like a honkin' big thimble, to me. I hope it was, and that it was SILVER!! Now, back to my scheduled program. The item you were referring to as an advertising piece is for repairing divots on putting greens. your guess was still correct,as they're also a means of advertising. Envoy you videos! Thanx for making them.
Thanks. And yep, many advertising items still have a function. Otherwise they wouldn't be able to give them away as easy. ;-)
That item you found cleans the cleats on golf shoes and helps clean up the green when you make a mark on it.
Nice finds! I recently found a 1944 Silver Quarter such a awesome feeling!
Postman use too charge for stamps and people would leave nickels for stamps. Always check the post boxes by the road. Nice silver boy! And haven't seen your basketball shots for a while! Sweet shot!

You definitely hit the jackpot at those locations! The two slick merc dimes look to be 1917 and 1918.

JD that spiter was an old brown spiter. To catch that cricketget a bath cloth wet it ring a lot of the water out but not all. Fold it over and lay it on the floor close to where it and go to bed. The next morning the cricket will be in the bath cloth. Old family secret. Don't tell anyone. Lol😄😄😄

The clump is from a thimble and the bit of metal with the two prongs on it is for golfing it's us d to repair the grass if you take out a divot when you swing GL&HH Simon
The dirt clod is the inside of a plastic trash can from a dollhouse of an old 1960s Barbie playset.
And I bet you thought I would say "thimble." hahaha
Gotta be a thimble! I have yet to find one, but I have seen enough from other detectors to know the shape.

He JD that tool is for fixing your ball mark wile playing golf it could be 60s 70s or 80s I got quite a few of those seeing I have been searching an 84 acre golf courses all to my self
You know a lot of casinos stopped carrying dime slot machines, because the dimes are so small and slippery! (Quite a bit of loss, I believe when loading the machines and in counting machines)

One of the very worn Mercury dimes looks like 1918, the other looked like 1917 to me.
