The chest punch routine was actually something Leo saw McConaughey doing as a relaxation technique on set whilst not filming. He liked it so approached Scorsese and asked if they could use it in the movie.
When you asked if people from Wall Street really act like this the real Jordan Belfort said it was worse in real life and the film was tame in comparison.
Leo's performance was amazing, loved every second of it! Jordan Belfort still sells his Straight Line system today, he's got a lot of great knowledge when it comes to sales(obviously)
Most of these events were actually a bit more crazy in real life. The guy this is based on said they had to tone it down. Many of the events you can find in news archives.
So.. yes he’s a great salesman but he also hurt people. Got to consider that too. Of course we don’t really see it because it’s his story and he doesn’t exactly tell it from a place of remorse - but yeah I think you’re supposed to remember that.
What he’s doing is fucked up but shouldn’t the blame also go to the idiots who actually fell for his bullshit? I mean if some stranger called me and started talking to me like this, I’d immediately hang up.
Imagine if he had put all that energy into not being motivated just by money. The good he could’ve done in the world. But all people are different and place importance and priorities on different things (e.g, money, family, community, faith etc,) Great Reaction and if you have seen it Pursuit of Happyness will be one you love. I know someone else here said it too and it’s definitely worth the watch, just have some tissues handy just in case lol.
39:12 - oh, come on! Jordan KNEW that she would never look at him twice without all the millions. She's a 10 and he's short, weird looking. He knew that she comes with the money and when the money is gone so is she.
The biggest lie rich people ever told poor people is that money doesn’t buy happiness. True, money alone doesn’t make one happy, but it does help though.
If you didn't know the guy that introduced Jordan at the end was the real Jordan Belfort

Leo was robbed from his Oscar that year, he's performance in this was outstanding, one of the best in his career
Leo was robbed for sure. His performance is a masterpiece. He was good in The Revenant but was not his best.
@Ks wrong. Oscar is for western made movies
@@ohboi9578 Lmao what?
You should watch "pursuit of happyness" if you haven't watched it already. I think you will enjoy it very much.

From what I’ve seen and heard Jordan was actually pretty decent looking when he was younger but the money was definitely a huge motivation for her.
If you want another Leo film, Gatsby is a good one 🤗
When you're eyes flicked down while mommy said she wouldn't be wearing panties, that's what won you my like. Great channel.

Talking about his life! Awesum!
I would love to see your reaction to "The Big Short" (2015), based on the 2008 financial crash.
I definitely recommend watching “the big short” if you’re interested in the stock market, that movie is a 10/10
Much more realistic than this 👍
