One of the reasons you may not have got a match in the Australian servers is because of the timezone difference and it depends on what time it was here in AUS and in the US
its actually same in NA, at early day you run on to same people. Atleast thats what i got as EU player, i made a best of 3 with a guy in solo trios XD we were runing on each so often

In Sao Paulo, the near 100% packet loss lag you were getting is something that happens randomly to me if I queue in any server with 100+ ping. I just quit out on dropship if its happening in pubs so the match doesn't count. Then I'll queue again and it'll be fine. Just happens randomly.
Tokyo looks more strategic but the sheer aggression, spite, and hatred of other teams daring to exist in your games is kind of awesome in NA. Bad players are willing to throw themselves into the dumbest situations to ruin someone else's game. As someone that plays on NA it seems like people are happy as soon as they trade 1 for 1 if they got to choose the person to trade out with.
Coming from an AU player, getting a game is really dependent on the time over here. Between 12am and around 9am its really difficult to find a game, but especially in the early hours of the morning. I account it to not only the fact that not many people who live in the AU region play (I say this because I've encountered some of the same players over multiple games over multiple months of playtime), but also because Apex isn't really a huge thing over here. Weekly challenges, new collection events and most updates happen at I believe 3 or 5am on Wednesday morning, so there isn't much incentive to play in the middle of the week when the new content drops when everyone has work and school. And speaking of school, ask most any teenager and they'll all say "Apex is cringe" "Apex is a shit game" and so on, so there isn't much of a child audience in the game either. TL;DR: The reason they couldn't find a match on AU servers is because they don't have as many players as other servers, its impossible to get a game in the early hours of the morning, not a large young adult audience, most updates and challenges and collection events start in the middle of the week when everyone has work and school so no one really plays when they happen.
The brazilian server wasn't that bad some time ago for the lower ranks (silver/gold)... You could get some pretty balanced matches... And then when you reached plat, you were paired agaisnt full pred/master teams... Nowadays its kinda like a russian roulette... you get 1 balanced lobby and 99 versus preds/masters/smurfs. Me and my friends are prefering to play on NA and face a 150ping so we can at least have some fun :(
I'm brazilian and when I used to play ranked, I played the lower ranks on SP server, and for plat I used to go to EU servers for that reason. For some reason plat and above were full of masters/predators, it was quite bad.
Very true on the Tokyo server. I play ranked on their servers if I want to earn RP consistently lol On NA servers players are aggressive, even to the point of throwing their own game. I do think Tokyo players are a bit more passive, but they do honestly play for placement and if they lose their teammates early on (be it one of both) the surviving players will rat for placement. It is kind of annoying to be getting beamed, and close to death, only to find that both of my teammates left me because my faith has been decided, rather than trying to help lol From the streamers I have watched on YT that are Japanese, they normally apologize when they get knocked or have to leave their teammate, so I don't think they WANT to leave anyone behind, but they do it for the team. Their pubs games are a different story lol they'll leave the moment they get knocked, and it's not uncommon to have clusters of teams fighting in open fields lol It's like they hold all the crazy in while playing ranked, and release it all in pubs xD It's kind of scary tbh

I highkey may play on Tokyo servers after watching that. Yeah, my ping may be kinda high, but that gameplay reminded me of the early seasons at higher tiers. I remember being plat 3, going into 5th ring, and there were 8 teams up. Everyone was playing smart, no one just swung and threw their life away for the chance at a kill. People actually wanted to win instead of getting 4 kills, 20 rp and go next. It was so fun and late game was intense. Now everyone just slams their forehead into the w key. Case and point 7:30, this man charged through caustic gas.
As a brazilian that played a lot on São Paulo servers the amount of times i fell against predators, and teamates that just fuck off to a corner of the map are uncountable.
I once heard Belgium referred to as "vertical Germany" because of their flags and now I can't think of anything else when I hear Belgium. Also, that first game in Sao Paulo reminds me of the part of "superhot mind control delete" where you keep teleporting backwards in the hallway.
I'm glad you got the full experience of sao paulo servers: lags out of nowhere, teams comming from every direction, teammates going off on an adventure of their own and poor matchmaking. But overall, quite fun as a lawless land :)
I love how accurate this is. My boy and I (East NA) had to finish out D1 to Pred as a duo last split and we played more in Tokyo than anywhere else. NA players are aggressive af, but not in a good way. I call them zombies. They just mindlessly hold forwards and get wiped immediately, but do enough to ruin everyone else's game. Tokyo players, even randoms, stick with the team and play for the win.

Ehh every European server I play I match up exclusively against Diamonds/Masters/Preds in Bronze lobbies and up. I don't even notice any difficulty spikes progressing through Diamond anymore. The only thing that changes is that I need more RP. It's just Respawn destroying their own game with their retarded SBMM I think. I used to literally play Ranked instead of pubs because it was more chill (yes, SBMM was that bad for me), but they since added SBMM to Ranked for whatever idiotic reason, so now I basically can't play any game mode without sweating like it's the ALGS anymore. I've got 4k badges on three Legends and 3k on many more. Made Diamond countless times and Masters once all solo queue. Got two 20 bombs. And yet I basically never drop a game with more than 2-5 kills and about 400-1500 damage anymore. The playerbase has been nosediving for two years for a reason. SBMM is killing it. It needs to be removed altogether like the old COD days.

I'm from Brazil and it's IMPOSSIBLE to get a fair match on SAO PAULO servers ranked or casual games. 5 out 5 games we are fighting vs Preds and masters (I'm only a gold - plat Player). We play with 180+ MS on NA just to get easier lobbies.
Likely didnt take the time difference into account for the aussie servers. need to aim for our afternoons/evenings. our player pop is so low during the day everyone plays on other servers to speed up queue times
yeah, I'm from the interior of são paulo (yeah the state and the capital are named são paulo) and i don't play apex cause in normal lobbies people only play for kill counts, they dont care about playing stratetically, only rush, rush rush rush. and ranked is bullshit there are two tier, the low (bronze, silver and gold) and the high ranked (gold, platinum, diamond, master and predator). That's Belgium servers for me since Bronze. I'm a Diamond/Masters player solo queue yet struggled getting out of Bronze solo queue this season. Only once I started playing with my buddy who's around my skill level did we get to Plat.
Not sure if they did all the Tokyo servers BUT from my testing TOKYO - Barely contains Japanese - it’s mainly the main hub for every other Asian (better ping tbh) Tokyo GCE-1: contains as much masters you could fit in one lobby and a random rookie team

For Australia at least diamond and above not much people que up in rank it might be different for pc but for console you can sometimes stay waiting for a long time

Honestly being a EU player playing with my NA friends always felt easier, but that also could be because they are much more casual so were playing against players with lower playtime while on EU i basically see High Ranks every normal match
@@lZest matchamaking is matchamking, the code is the same for every region But yeah overall NA is easier if you tend to play mechanicly, you'll have an easier time on rotations/positioning and less thirdparty but peoples in NA are better fighters and teamplayers, better movement too i'll say Fights are only easier because there is 90% less thirdparty than in EU, if the thirdparty rate was the same it would be hell xD

I have a theory as to why *OVERALL* EU pros are better than NA. Hear me out, its all about communication. So, EU has many different players from different countries that speak different languages. So whenever someone from NA gets to ex. Predator, he has the advantage of the language barrier not being an issue, meaning its easier to get to rank as everyone gets to the same page quicker. However, when you cant communicate with someone so easily you HAVE to have your gameplay perfected in order to rank up. I might be overthinking this but across different games I played it seemed to be true.
I got best ping in sydney severs cos i live in nz but i go on like orgeon bc ez enough for me and que time is less than 10 sec rather than the 10 minute que time in sydney

Playing on Tokyo and Singapore servers are definitely my favourite. It’s more competitive and people are a lot nicer in my opinion (compared to eu)
I'm in Dubai and the Bahrain servers are the lowest ping we have, but there's NEVER anyone on it, so I have to go to like London or Belgium for games

Missed out on the Hong Kong Server, most Chinese players play on that server due to no mainland server. A lot of them also play on the Japanese one.

I have a theory as to why *OVERALL* EU pros are better than NA. Hear me out, its all about communication. So, EU has many different players from different countries that speak different languages. So whenever someone from NA gets to ex. Predator, he has the advantage of the language barrier not being an issue, meaning its easier to get to rank as everyone gets to the same page quicker. However, when you cant communicate with someone so easily you HAVE to have your gameplay perfected in order to rank up. I might be overthinking this but across different games I played it seemed to be true.
