It needs 4-5 seats. You would think the entire point is to fly down and drop of a medic team, fly away if under fire, and then come flying back to pick up wounded as needed. Mirror more like real life, not just a single pilot that has to leave his ship to pick up someone that is downed.
It's an Anvil ship. It doesn't make any sense that it's not sharing components like that with other Anvil ships. Especially given CIG's hard-on for "shared design language"...
You can add furniture you can buy now, like a seat from the kelso store for your hangar, I put a extra Drake seat with the skull on it, inside my A2 and put it on the bridge for the engineer~1
The ONLY thing this is missing is a damn jump seat. Just one at least... that's it. A mobile drone system would have been hot but not necessary. The seat however, is a must.... The patient won't work on themselves while we're flying....
Makes it feel like you're meant to be a travelling doctor or something, hitting those remote locations to provide medical services. Not a rescue or ambulance service.
Cutlass is made out of paper mache these days, I'll take the Medpin over the C8R or Cutty Red. Not only is it a T2 bed but, this ship has a lot more survivability compared to the other two options atm. Maybe when scanning has improved or the Cutlass series gets a buff, the Cutty Red could be viable again. But until then, it's Medpin all the way if you're ACTUALLY trying to get your injured companions out alive. Then again, I guess the Cutty Red would be the better option if there are zero dangers present and you have more than a couple guys injured. But 8 times out of 10 in the current state of Star Citizen you're bringing a medical ship into a dangerous area. So the armor of the Medpin really helps
I like it. It seems a little large and roomy on the inside. After having a C8R for quite a while, its limitation was the extra chair not working half the time. This one has a lot of walking room inside but no seat for a buddy or two. We all know its a little too dangerous to be a solo medic in this universe.
Both C8R and the Cutlass Red are 20 bucks over their base variants, inline with that the price will probably be 240 (220+20 of the terrapin). If it holds I suppose 20 bucks is the medical tax for a ship. Personally I see them push it even higher which is gonna be a shit show.
Med Turtle finally! Been wanting it since I joined SC in 2017 and read the lore for the Turtle. Always loved the design. A little sad to not have a nurse seat which is a weird choice. So glad it’s a T2 bed. New bunker runner for me!
The Medpin is gonna be pretty useful, im shocked we still dont have a combat variant since its so bulky and been around for soooo long with Zero gameplay even to this day
Reason why somebody would want this is It's the smallest ship you can respawn in. T3 beds have respawn only temporarily. Once it's gone, this will be our smallest option.
Great idea for a ship. Tough medical turtle, mid tier bed, very roomy med bay. Just makes no sense with so much space they couldn't put a ride along chair in. Hope they add it in the future. Would have liked if they found a way to tuck bunk beds in somehow with how spacious it is, but I realize that's a bigger ask. Would be nice though.
this makes me think of those "Doctors without Borders" thing. Like you're a medic/doctor and you go to remote locations to do general checkups, medical services.
The lights button on the same pannel as the ramp control, that switch turns on/off a light bar on the exterior just above the ramp. Lacking a jump seat is a total oversight. Even the C8R has a jump seat for the Doc. If you check out the base Terrapin, supposedly its scanning seat works now as a remote scanning turret.
For the _excessive price_ I'm sure they're going to charge for the medical Terrapin it's lacking many things I would expect it to have for that premium price. And even though I was really looking forward to this ship I'm going to have to say no. I might buy it in game. But until they remove respawn from every medical bed I'm happy with my medical Pisces and/or Cutlass Red.
This is going to be good for a medical player that can triage/treat in either a warzone or remote locations, its the Médecins Sans Frontières of ships.
Absolutely needed a jump seat in the medical section for a medic to ride with a player pilot, so that you would have a 2 man crew working in tandem as a pilot and medic. The medic would be the one who would unload to get wounded or heal those incapacitated. The pilot would stay in with the ship or move with the medic to provide security. Bottom line, every medical ship should have at least a crew of 2, especially given the elevated price that will come down for it.
The regular Terrapin is also supposed to be single person where the chair is just for scanning. It isn't meant to have a more than one person crew. No oversight.
Ok, so yes the C8R has a jump seat, but if I am a nurse or say the only "doc" I would be on the panel and or prepping meds. Also Red has 2 Tier 3 beds which allow you to spawn to it if you die 20 km away and heals tier 3 injuries. A tier 2 bed allows 50km away as well as heal tier 2 injuries and 3.
I have a soft spot for the Terrapin, have always wanted a use for it. This creates one, and it's cool that it's a tier 2 bed, but the price point is very likely to be higher than the standard Terrapin which puts it over $220...... That's really high for a single seater ship (non-combat). I suppose they could shock us and place it in the $150 range, making it closer to the Cutty Red, but I have huge doubts about that happening. Anyway, I enjoyed the video!!
Sooo.... other than slightly more storage and shields to match the size difference, how is this better than the C8R which is SUPER cheap. I'd rather have the Cutty Red with 2 med beds and 4 size 3's, plus lots of storage compared to Medipin.
With the shields and armor there will be a massive difference in survivability. The difference is like comparing an ambulance made from a transit van to one built off the military MRAP chasis. I do agree about the cutty red, being more bang for the buck. But if this thing is less than what people are expecting it might be worth it for some people. But for sure it's even more niche.

Here's the thing, if they had managed modules better, i think they could of put a jump seat, suit locker, and a couple racks for med guns. Kind of a let down vs a Pisces C8X. The Terrabed is pretty however

The fact that it doesn't have any jump seats or a weapons rack is an absolute joke. This should have been the evolution of the Pisces, where the Pisces came off like a typical ambulance that's designed for two lightly armored crew members since it didn't have a weapons rack, this should have had two jump seats and a weapon rack to along with the tier 2 bed to show that this is a nicer more heavily armored medical ship designed for hot dangerous scenarios and VIP extractions. Knowing how CIG tend to do when new ships arrive I would not put it under them to disable T3 spawning and restrict it to T2 and above.... How lucky for us then that this new Medical Terrapin just so happens to come with a T2 bed..
I had imagined something more like a BELL UH 1 D front pig in which I could evacuate 4-6 wounded from a combat zone under fire and provide first aid. What is this nonsense about equipping such an expensive ship with one, I repeat, ONE BED? Why does it have to be an armored ship to take care of ONE PERSON? CIG is a club of pacifists and has no idea of the requirements for medivac vehicles. The main thing is that the interior is nice and white ^^
This is is just a lazy slap to the terrapins. None of the planning from the nursa or the P8C-R. Even the cutless red, a very old poorly designed ship was better planned. It has sases, 4 beds, a toilet shower, a significant firepower and a specialized radar. For half the price.
How can you fly three ships? Do you have a couple of friends that cant afford their own ships, or cant wait to buy them in-game lol. What could be the reason for owning more than one of a ship? I guess to have one ready if the first dies, but three is overkill even if you don't have a budget.

obviously theyre intending to have a rolling chair since its basically a doctors office XD jk jk
Suit locker?
It doesnt have 4 guns like the image from the SC video on youtube, figures
nice ship, I wonder if the decontamination is going to be a mist/spray effect of like a sonic effect?
Same!
Yeah first thought, how cool would that be!
Looks cool but it’s as big as the cutlass red minus one bed and the c8r is cheaper and more compact don’t really see the need for this ship
I mean why not just make that a module for a terrapin
Untill they bring in armore it wont come into it own and it will be grate as no seats means you can fit a sars team
No crew seat? I guess patients are their own doctors? Or you just sit in the danger zone?
Therrapin
Trauma team mini av
Traumapin
poor cockpit visuals to see ground for landing like most of CIG ships
Well, they plan on bringing the landing cam back.
@@SubliminaLstv window in the cockpit floor vs a landing cam, which do you think would be easier to implement and more importantly absent of bugs
Teravac
Gonna buy 3, i hope they make the emergency lights better. Should be viewable from way far away, and more distinguished in the middle of a fire fight
How can you fly three ships? Do you have a couple of friends that cant afford their own ships, or cant wait to buy them in-game lol. What could be the reason for owning more than one of a ship? I guess to have one ready if the first dies, but three is overkill even if you don't have a budget.
@ when star citizen is 5 systems, let alone 100, having multiple or redundant ships is going to allow me to do what i want in the regions that I’m in. When claiming is fixed, having the ship you want at the port you want is not going to be as easy.
For that price you could have a Carrack to carry its own C8R. AND the C8R.
@@CraigPaschang for sure, but already have 2 carracks (w/ 2 c8x) and 2 c8r :/
2:15 le what ? its bugged ... open doors and texture of broken ship .. gold standard
...wtf? It's only available for Evocati for testing, what do you think testing is? Your expectations are so fooked, it's ridiculous.
@@SubliminaLstvthey want their cake batter baked and topped with icing.... BEFORE it hits the oven lol. 😂😂
Game is crap... fps is awful
