So funny I decluttered all my flower vases because I haven’t needed them in 15 years. The next day at work someone brought me long stemmed roses without a vase lol sooo sweet! I looked everywhere for something else to use and ended up cutting the top off of a two liter and put them in there. Still beautiful!
I gave away a beautiful set of Encyclopedia Brittanica yesterday. I had a huge attachment to them but never used them. It was a yard of book space that lightened my world by five boxes I'll never have to move again. They were more decor than function. The ultimate Justin Case. Feels great! Now what else can I find ... 🌻🍄
Hello there, intentional maximalist in the making (as in I love having stuff, but only what's useful what I like & the amount that works for me), & your videos really help with tips & motivation. Watching this video with 2 huge full bags of stuff from the bathroom/hallway, between shoes, mats, cleaning products, not for my hair shampoos,.... I managed to consolidate all my products in one place, including the spare laundry detergent, now that I have space. I decluttered & rearranged for hours to make things more efficient. 2 days ago I had 2 bags from my spring reshuffle of clothes (from winter to spring). While switching scarves & bottoms (too early for other things), I decluttered some stuff I don't use anymore & made place for stuff, including new acquisitions, because yes, tastes change with time & that's part of the fun. As of this spring, it's my second year of serious declutter & I'm going through every place I already went through during the last year, zone by zone. My philosophy is, don't waste time, quick decisions, if I'm not sure about an item, it stays until the next passthrough, & usually, by the next time, I have a better idea of what I need or want, how to "home" them more efficiently & what needs to leave to make that happen. So far, I've replaced one item, a charger eliminated by mistake, lesson learned, my cables & chargers are labelled & all useful. If you replace something in a year, well that's one year of not having to manage the darn thing (dusting, moving to access something else, not having place for what you need, too much visual clutter...
@@MinimalistHome Thanks! It's a long journey, but I am getting close to the 2 gestures max, open drawer/cupboard & take/put object, my lazy heart aspires to.
I haven't quite figured out my own threshold instead of 20/20. Since I can't get anything in 20 minutes. The closest stores mean being away from home at least 45 minutes. And I only have a car available when someone else is home.
Hmm… are you in the country side with lots of storage space? Maybe that will help with sorting out your own equation. There’s also the question of “would I even think that I had one of these if I needed one and would I know where it was?”, so still don’t go keeping everything!
I definitely need to go through my emails too. I did watch a video that talked about how much electricity is used to store one spam email. It was quite enlightening. Now you have me going through my jewelry! I thought I'd never go through it, but now I realize that I really don't like wearing bracelets (I'm a knitter and my yarn always gets stuck in them) Now most of my bracelets are gone and will be going to a buy nothing group!
Great tips. Am still plagued by the just in case and might use items in two rooms. Also love digital tip as have to sit through my emails and storage drive this week as would rather do this than pay for more storage. ❤

I can’t see how my egg separator would break, but when my mom died I took hers just in case. Along with a ton of other just-in-case items! I want to declutter the backups, but my twin 23 yr old daughters will (hopefully) eventually move out. Do I save everything for them? 🤷🏼♀️
@@evelynsaungikar3553 One of them loves to bake. I’ll ask them both what they want to keep and give them bins in the garage so my kitchen isn’t so cluttered

Great job!
"the eight sets of sheets because a circus family may come to visit" cracked me up!
Haha
I don’t want the clowns at my house-they creep me out!
Key facet of Minimalist practices is putting things where they belong
Yes indeed
Great motivator! Thank you !

Yassaay! You’re welcome! 🌷
Robyn, the "App" thing is good. I have 2 tablets that seem to fill up with those things pretty quickly.
Really liked this vlog.
Cheers
Thank you!
So useful! Thank you Robin! ❤❤❤
You are so welcome!
Great video! Thank you for sharing your insights, sooooo helpful!
Thank you!
Where do you keep your kitchen aid mixers? Mine is on the counter because it's too heavy to keep taking out and putting away each time I use it
Mine are in the pantry as I’m able to move them out when needed. 🙏🏼🍲👋🏼
Thanks for the tips!🎉😊
Thank you!
hahahah love the circus family comment :D That made me laugh! Instant sub lol. Looking forward to more videos :)

Love this soooo much! I’m almost a hoarder. I’m starting my 20-20 rule soon. Great ideas and awesome video.

Another good question is, if I had time would I chose to use this item? Prioritize the items you are most excited about using.
@@zabmcauley5647 thank you I am now chosing the items to keep and container method to get rid of the excess I still have x

Ask them to pick and keep what they want, and declutter the rest that you're ready to let go of.
Do they cook? To the extent that they separate eggs?
@@WorrierKitten that’s a good idea 😀

My grand creations 😂😂

Haha, It takes me more than 20 minutes to even get to the store aka gas station.
Hopefully this means you have a bunch of storage to keep a BIT more, it be careful not to use this as a reason to keep eeeeeverything! 👋🏼✌🏼💕
