Many people don’t seem to know how Amazon works. Amazon is a company that sells things itself, but is also a major way for small businesses sell stuff. Amazon provides the warehouses and everything it takes to pack and ship. It’s a great mechanism for the good and the bad.
My town's police station has a designated parking space next to it for goods purchased online to be exchanged. I wish more police stations would have this.
Many moons ago when Dow Chemical made ziplock bags before they sold it to Glad, I worked for a Dow company and could get ziplock bags for a huge discount so I had all the sizes in both freezer and storage. I found the easiest way to store them is to open up one bag from the box and put the rest of the bags inside it and recycle the box. I store the bags in a basket smallest to largest.
A relative of a friend of mine actually was shot when doing a marketplace transaction of a PlayStation, which turned out to be a scam. Because of that I’m always very careful and thoroughly checkout the profile before meeting or going to someone’s house
I don't buy personal care products online because I'm concerned about bogus products that might actually be toxic. Sad that we have to worry about things like that
Thanks for raising this awareness. I've been receiving some strange emails lately. I move them to spam without opening. And I've had unauthorized charges on my debit cards more times than I care to remember. And I shop only with legit, larger retailers. Once it happened when I used PayPal. And as for organizers...yes, they need to be cleaned and sometimes just not worth that hassle.
After declutterling a lot of clothing over the last few years, we had over 100 extra hangers. I don't even remember buying that many (they are all matching). And we also have so many extra plastic bins that I don't even know how we have so many! Maybe the missing socks go in the dryer and come out as plastic hangers and containers?! 😅
You are right about scammers. It is crazy how many ways they find to scam people! But… not everyone is a scammer. We have very dear, friends who ran an Amazon store. They would but close outs of expensive designer shoes 👠 for cheap and resell them at a good price. (If the store has just a few odd sizes of a particular style, it is easier for the store to sell the lot to people like our friends than to have just a few of these and those hanging around their fancy stores.). Amazon kept shutting them down even though they had proof of purchase from the stores. (Idk if they have given up on that “store”. I know, this doesn’t change the fact that there are scammers out there but… not everyone is evil.
Mostly I thought I wouldn't fall for these. Then I saw the can organizer. Mine wasn't for soda cans: mine was for canned food. In the winter I keep a large stock of food in case of blizzards and thought that it would be jut the ticket. Nope: you can't see what's in it. So, back to the fabric drawers on a shelf for that section and a new piece of clutter to get rid of. (And, yes, the blizzard problem is real, and I refuse to be one of those panic-buying before it hits.)
Great video idea and I like that you called out how awful that sink caddy would be to clean! There have been a couple things I ordered from Walmart that were never delivered so I don't buy anything from their 'Marketplace' anymore.
I have the baggie storage boxes - individual (not all in one). I love it. I buy the baggies in bulk but the boxes don’t fit in my drawer. Keeps the drawer neat & organized.
You are going to love the plastic, foil and baggie organizer!! It is so easy to use and easily see where what you need is. Also if you’re running low on it it’s easy to see because they’re side by side .❤ you won’t be decluttering it 🙌🏻
Regarding repair shops. I stopped getting anything repaired when they started demanding $75 just to look at something. Not to repair it, but just to look at it. That was 20 years ago, so I'm sure it would be a lot more expensive now.
I think there is too much cross over between decluttering and organising. Also in minimalism, a lot of videos fall into aesthetic minimalism and encourage purchases of items which are completely unnecessary (even though they look nice - like those sandwich bag holders you were showing!) As you said, declutter first then see if you actually need the baskets/ boxes etc to organise. The chances are you actually won't need them.
I try not to buy cosmetics on Amazon due to the fake factor. I would rather pay full retail at Macys, Ulta and know I’m getting the real deal. I have also had good luck purchasing items from the actual online store, such as Coach handbags, or Sam Edelman shoes. They have sales which beat the prices on Amazon.
Amazon mixes their stock with other companies stock that is fulfilled by Amazon. A good rule when shopping on Amazon is don’t buy anything that you are putting in or on your body and don’t buy anything that could start a fire if it malfunctions.
My CVS store had a whole aisle of personal body sprays, body wash and whatever else was on the aisle cleaned off into carts. Police showed up 2 hours later & CVS has the policy not to approach thieves in any way, so the thieves left waving goodbye to the employees. “A raid on the store… I’m sure they were selling it somewhere 😢
Well done! Great thing in my town the police station has a designated parking stall for people to meet to pick up market place, craigslist items!
Oh wow! That's great!

There are reputable sources, but I understand why you’re just like “nope”! 🙏🏼
I have the baggie storage thing and found it useful because sometimes the baggie boxes don’t fit in the drawer
That's great!

I too have some of those individual baggie boxes and I like them. Got them at Costco I think.
Thanks for this! 🙏🏼
Thank you for this discussion-and I gotta' say that shade of lipstick suits you extremely well :)
Thanks so much! 💕
Robyn- I've said it before and will say it again: You rock so much and thank you for your videos. I am grateful :)

Btw, Amazon DOES indicate if the seller is the actual store (name brand) you want.
Okay - thanks! 🙏🏼

For safety - Please don't stack your filled canning jars, and remove the rings.
Okay
🤞🏼✅🙏🏼
I have/2 closets of EMPTY containers!!! What do I do? ??
Get rid of them...
donate, people buy containers at thrift stores
I keep empty containers in my closets and garage. Makes me think that I don’t have room to buy more stuff. Just a fun little mind game for me.
Let em go!
Definitely get rid of them!

Great information… As Usual! Thank You so Much.
