- White Faced Varre's questline has a lot of benefits. Doing it helps you gain access to an area that has one of the best rune farms to level up fast. You'll also get a bloody finger that allows you to invade players an unlimited amount of times, and you can get White Faced Varre's gear for doing his quest!

To anyone that doesn't want to invade other people's worlds or just stay offline, there's an NPC that you can invade at *Writheblood Ruins* just east of the *Bridge of Iniquity*
It's in one of the ruins there, costs a festering finger and he's pretty decent to kill. Some beast incantations and uses a Morning Star. It's not mentioned at all in game but it works for this quest!!

Regarding the farm, since you’re literally at the same exact spot, if you look off the cliff at the site of grace you’ll see a bird across the ravine, if you hit the bird with a spell or an arrow from here it will run off, give about 11k souls, and then you can reset. No real risk but if you’re farming, I assume that’s not a concern.

@@justinjohnson6481 still working fine although my advice is you cannot stand still any more, you need to keep locked on to the bird and walk back drawing aggro and he will attempt to stop but fail and fall off

The White mask also gives you 10% increase to your attack power if there is blood loss around you. For blood loss builds that is a good option to combine with the Lord of Blood's Exultation talisman as they stack.
This. The white mask is a great match up for blood loss build.
Does his whole gear give a blood loss boost? Or is it just the mask?

You forgot to add the finale of the quest, which is after beating mohgwyn, go to the grace thats before mohgs boss grace, and walk towards the cave and youll see an option to invade him
You don't need to beat mohgwyn.

You can also use the maiden seen at the first church at the start. Accessible using one of the four belfries portals and defeating the first boss that gives you your first traumatic experience.

@@wallyt19a little late but go to the 4 belfries. Take the east most teleport. Defeat the boss and the maiden is in the church. Also stormhawk ashes are there for nephellis quest. I'm sure you know this stuff by now but just in case.

You can also get the blood of a maiden, at the area you start off at, after you’ve started a new character. From the dead maiden on the floor

There are 3 invading white Mask's. All of them pretty close to each other. After you defeated them, you can fight Varre next to the upper grace and get his weapon
@@Bender_B._Rodriguez there’s 3 different invaders wearing white masks . After you kill the first the second will randomly pop up and so on . I saved myself the headache and just rolled off the cliff when they started attacking me and they followed me right to my doom lol

I spent hours getting here only to get discouraged by how tough the white mask dudes are, and the constant dying from those birds. I only wanted the mask. I told my buddy about how I got here, but gave up trying to get it. But then I watched this video and got it in 2 minutes. Lol! So thank you!
The way I see it, every single enemy in this game will cheese you if they can, so cheesing THEM is perfectly acceptable. No shame in it.
there are a few enemies that have honor but that shouldnt stop you from cheesing in a game you paid for, its your experience after all
You can also gets the maiden blood from the dead maiden when you first start the game. Use the Imbued sword key on the first portal going down and you wall be sent to the place where you got killed by the grafted scion.

At the rune farm grace walk over to the ledge and shoot the bird with a bow or frenzied burst wait for it to fall off the ledge then reset at grace and repeat for 11k runes each time.
Equip the golden scarab (+20%) and gold fowl foot (+30% for like 3 minutes) and get 50% more runes.

You don't have to beat godrick for this, you just need a great rune. You can best rennala and still progress the quest. And imo, she is easier to defeat.
For new player: be extra careful because it might break some questline if you go right to Liurnia

Renalla herself is easier but Castle Stormveil is an easier dungeon. Godrick isn't that difficult if you're able to use summons.

Im not sure the quest is 100% complete here as you can then invade varre world and after you kill and talk to him he gives you his flower mace.

Awesome video! Other way to the blood of the maiden is going into the church of anticipation and I’m the room where you start the game, right there on the wall There is a maiden dead. This way you don’t block the other questline

The madness comes from an eye above a tower which is guarded by a couple of easily defeated rats and tarnished zombies if you head towards it and climb up that tower you can kill the tarnished zombies underneath it and the eye wont come back so you dont have to deal with all that madness when working your way up the hill

Also. If you fight and beat Mogh first and then try to do the last part of this quest it will not work.
I remember I invaded him instead and got his weapon "Vares Bouquet" I think it was named, but I didn't get his mask.
So remember that. Before fighting Mogh, go to the blood pond first.

@@cicciolondon NG+. Just don't fight Mogh until you get invaded and do not invade Varre on the path leading to Mogh. You'll see the summon sign on the floor at the exit of the cave you're in going towards Mogh.

You can just hit the giant bird below from by the site of grace and he'll jump off the cliff. 11k runes per!
there is also another rune farm where u shoot the bird and it flies off the cliff gives u 11,000 each time

You can use the fingers and immediately use the finger severer thing once in the other players world if you don't care for pvp. Works the same
What if you’re stuck in trying to join and dont join anyone
How come no enemies pop up when you run from the spawn point to that site of grace? I get glant spectral skeletons, rolling dudes, get invaded, and then I am on foot and get overwhelmed. You ran thru with little to no opposition.
They always spawn, you just gotta avoid em

Shoot an arrow at the crow with a gold foot and golden scarab active.
Once you offer your finger, that's when you begin to get the Red Eyes alteration. You can remove this in the mirror, but it overrides the Dragon Eyes if you obtained them, which sucks.

You gotta go to the mountain top of the giants and there’s an invader there next to 2 rune bears you gotta kill him and then there will be a portal next to him you can take there

the third white mask invader isn’t spawning
Hey, Instead of killing the enemies, look across the chasm and shoot the bird. It will run off the side of the cliff and give you 11k souls. (13k with Golden Scarab Talisman/17k with Talisman+Golden foot)
34-36k in NG+1 with golden scarab/golden finger

I did this quest completely different....I went from the foot of the four belfries bonfire and worked my way up the mountain where you encounter enemies that are guarding chests of some sort. There is a bonfire up the mountain, with your back to the bonfire make your way back down and the statue/tower that's alone on the left side you use that key that you just obtained and it will teleport you to a different location. I believe it's the location where you first encounter the first boss when you load up a new game. Once you beat that, you will work your way around the castle like building and you will see a maiden on the floor and she's bleeding..that's how I got my cloth to be bathed in blood.
Theres the tutorial maiden, vykes maiden, and 2 others i believe that work
You don't actually lose your runes you just have to collect them from where you fell to invaded player.
I lost them because I forgot to pick them up and I invaded and died again

Edit: I actually get over 200k a min with 2 waves of gold

When you invade the three time you don’t have to fight at all. you can return instead and it still completes the requirements. Saves time.

Do the bird it’s way faster unless you have a one shotting aoe attack if u have aoe you will get 45k runes per 5-10 seconds if not then do the bird and get 13.25k every 7 seconds with scarab active

it's kind of screwed up that a part of the questline is locked behind online, especially for console since you'd have to pay for ps+ or xbox gold.
Theres always been a pvp questline for npcs. Theyre mostly the introduction to pvp

The bird farm is much faster if you don't have a good attack
You can make both at the same time
With the Gold Scarab Talisman (cliff side cave) and Lucky Gold Bird Foot consumable, equals +50% runes!!! Shoot the bird to the left to lure him off cliff and run back to save point. +17K for like 10 secs and 1 arrow. (…while summoning or invading to spice things up)

@@ws8665 I figured it out. You got to find the sweet spots. I recommend riding the horse so you know when you hit it because it will kick you off

You can get the recusant finger which is virtually the same thing for unlimited invasions. Just start volcano manors quest and invade the guy by the warmastera shack and she should give you the finger
