I was invading in stormveil one time and I think the host or the pw summon was max levelled while I was like lvl 25, he dies from the environment and I get an 85 million rune drop, total insanity
The video just said a level 700 player dying gives only 1.8 million runes while 99 lords rune gives just 4 million...how can you get 85 million from what you are describing?
@@CyberopticsTH-cam I don't know, the only thing I can think of is they had a shit ton of runes in their pocket when they died, which I got, but I dunno if that's even a feature. I'm not quite sure what caused it to this day. Maxxed out my arrows and bought everything I could from merchants before tossing myself off a cliff twice.

It looks like the leaf rain that gives the 5% boost happens regularly at the end of the night. Maybe i'm wrong, but this is what we observed with a friend in seamless co-op
When I was running the game in the background at 3 times speed it took sometimes 2 nights sometimes 5+ so I think you got lucky

I was in 4 big groups when I played (r/EldenRing and a few gaming TH-cam channels) at launch and had the group buff active all the time. It rained gold leaves during the group buff too so I was never sure if the "weather" condition and the group buff stacked.

What about gostoc? He steals some of your runes but you can get them back after killing him, so what if you got a bunch of runes and let him take them and then kill him

I died so many times in that area when I first started elden ring. He took so many runes from me. I found myself atop of the chapel where you meet rogier and found gostoc creeping at the edge. I didn't know it was him at first so I snuck up behind him, stabbed him in the back and kicked him off the chapel into the deep, neverending pit getting back all of the runes he took from me lol.
Then you would just get your Runes back... Not gain runes

Remember when you could get a blood echoes drop boost by killing enemies with visceral attacks in bloodborne? Does anyone remember killing 3 of the living failures in the last 10 seconds before you finish them off, to get enough blood echoes to max level, if you were NG+7? I think outside of glitches in the souls game, this is the most souls you can get in any from software game.
Stacking runes to get what was it, 667 million? Was insane. Bloodborne will always be unbeatable in many ways tbh
Yeah it was stupidly OP if you could pull it off. Each of the 3 Heir runes claimed "more blood echoes gained from a visceral attack", but in reality it gave you a special buff that increased echoes gained for 6 seconds after killing an enemy with a visceral attack. Since it takes about a second to then let go of the enemy after their HP reaches 0, and it takes about 1-2 seconds to actually do enough of the animation to kill the enemy, you'd need to visceral attack one failure, then visceral attack and kill another. A normal visceral kill with all 3 runes gives you 273% of what they drop, but then because of the nature of the Living Failures allowing you to kill singular failures, then also kill the boss, plus the buff being an exponential stack, it ends up giving you (((273% of normal echo #)^2)^2)^2 echoes.
In NG+6 where echoes drops cap out, you could get 660 million blood echoes from a perfect execution. Which the cost to level up from BL10 to max is only 619 million, meaning you'd get more echoes than you could even spend.
In a first run, it would give you 67 million if done perfectly setting you up for basically anything. Though even if you mess up and don't do it right, you still get ((273%)^2)^2) by just getting one visceral attack, which is 1.2 million echoes, which is still damn good.
@@Late0NightPC and dont forget the legendary "Cummfpk" dungeon. In your way to max level, its was the first step to enlightment. A few hours in that place of power and you would be over 9000, ready to face all the eldritch horrors of Yarnam, until facing the Living Failures and achieve Godhod.
Damn, I have like 1000 hours in Bloodborne and I didn't know you could stack up the visceral attack bonus runes. Gonna give that a go for sure
I've seen a different version. Triple heir runes and you visceral the last 2 failures within 6.27 seconds and it nets your 63 million on NG.

In fairness, with the exorbitant rune costs of high levels it’s still theoretically useful for the… 10 or so people going for max level

You can leave runes on the ground for other players and you can re load cloud saves, I’m surprised that nobody talks about this.
Me and a buddy this in ds3. Takes a while to dupe, but totally worth it to get 2 players to max level in a short amount of time
People talk about it. People do it all the time in ER.
Most people on r/PatchesEmporium use a similar method to dupe items.

Thanks for letting me know about the overkill rune boost, it was one thing hat upgraded my rune farming.
Its also very good to know that i should not try to get ng+7 for optimal rune farm, since it will be alot difficult to do overkill for extra runes. so its better to just be in ng+
I'm not sure how much health the albinaurics have on ng+7 for the Mohgwyn palace farm, but I found that the ritual sword talisman, holy scorpion charm, and shard of alexander mixed with 80 faith, +10 sacred relic sword, and as much dex as I could get got me to about 3400 damage. I'm like 99% sure it gives the overkill bonus. Generally though for anything below ng+ all that would definitely be enough damage and the only reason I would get the faith to 80 and pump dex is because I am not sure if the ash scales off weapon level, attack rating, or the faith scaling

Here's a little tip, blue dancer with golden scarab increases rune gain as long as you're below 13 weight.

Is that not just the golden scarab? Blue dancer shouldn’t do anything extra.
Didn’t get the soft cap for the weight right, it’s 8, 16, and stops working at 30. Regardless blue dancer only effects weapon damage, so he’s saying you can get overkill’s easier with less than 16 weight.

BUT @Leviathan what about having all 4 Extra rune Buffs AND you find a Miniboss with Golden Rune-eyes... you know what i mean... that you will gain 5x times the amount of the normal rune amount. And yes I guaranteed had one time a Erdtree Avatar, who had Golden shiny Eyes out of his Tree hole... it was weired but they can have that Buff! LG! Love youre Contant!🥳❤💛

If you do the jump glitch in mohg palace withall buffs active and you use the the glitch to make it kill mohg himself you can get almosta full million on NG0 and thats super early game. All you need to do is kill godrick to get there.

I'm unsure, but isn't the buff the group passwords give just the gold leaf buff activating, meaning that you added 5% more than available?
I actually had both happen at once during recording and it gave me two buff icons so I am pretty sure they are different

@Alpine the Red I don't think that is correct. I've seen them more during the day than night
Basically when you goto the bird farm spot, talisman + gold talon will get you 17k runes per kill. That same bird sometimes gets golden eyes so you get 86k runes from it instead.
Happened to me twice in one day and this has nothing to do with gold leaf buff (referring to the other guy)

How can I reach enough damage to overkill all the albenerics on that ledge place with the sacred relic sword? I'm level 440 and have 99 strength, dex, and faith (the three attributes for the sword) as and am using the sword talisman (the one that increases damage when health is at 100%), warrior jar shard, and the sacred scorpion charm.
When you use a remerbance for Runes in NG+ 7: "oh.."

Golden leaves falling only happens when someone becomes a shardbearer or elden lord
That's a different buff. There's the golden leaf rain buff and shardbearer/elden lord buff which you can get at the same time to stack.
Does overkill consider crits one attack? Riposting with a lot of weapons shows you hit the enemy twice. So would one of those hits have to deal 150% the enemy's max health or just the sum of them?

It should. Many instances that are similar wirk hat way like Royal Knights Resolve counting as one massive attack despite some weapons hitting twice during the crit animations.

I got up to 220million in a month by saving up and doing 1v1's at the first step, 220million runes got me from level 400 to 490~. A whole month for 90 levels...
Aren't there also sites where you can buy items? I know it's kinda ridiculous, but It may be an option if you have the money to throw at it.

The sword talisman boost Runes to. If thay have not pach it yet. I dont remember the name of the weapon but you Get the sword from the final boss. If you use the sword. It did find This out on new game + 1 so i dont know of it works on the first play

So I could be wrong but pretty sure the gold rain only happens when someone in your multiplayer group finishes the game. So the bigger the group you join the more regular the rain.

So without being eaten alive. I really enjoy this game I just got it. I played the tree sentinel Maybe 100 times. I enjoy learning and getting better and just trying until I win. I beat dark souls one being just a very mediocre gamer. I am really struggling even with regular mobs. I can't seem to parry, I'm struggling with the dodge. Do you guys recommend me rune farm to get my bandit more powerful and things may get easier? Or did you guys just keep moving around finding enemies you could beat, leave ones you can't and just loot? I keep telling myself my parry and dodge have to get better if I just keep trying.
Late to the reply party, but, for me, I'm mediocre too. I'm at Elden Beast and think I only have to finish up the Haelig Tree (am there and in the buildings now). My advice is yea, just explore and farm runes / lvl a lot. Admittedly I'm sorcery build and range, while having it's own challenges, I'm told and myself believe is a much easier build to start with. Full disclosure that might have made my time easier.
But with a lot of leveling in NG0, stats and weapons, you'll be able to make it with some dedication, I'm sure bro

Can anyone tell me why sometimes the runes I get when farming randomly increases by 5x? My first play through I farmed the bird in Mohgwyn, normally getting 10k runes per kill. But sometimes, it gave 55k runes per kill instead.
Sometimes an enemy has golden glowing eyes, meaning they will give 5x the normal amount of runes.

These enemies are rare because they are only available during the night time. Make sure if you are farming, to pass time into nightfall.

If you invaded and killed someone in Darkroot Garden in DS1: PTDE you got all the runes they held at the time of death, which can be way more than this. Max I got was 8.567.000
Almost tempted to make a max level character and invade others. Just to have them unlive me for runes.
