I would argue that roster of mibr containing stewie2k and tarik could be considered a hell of a cursed roster, but after seeing the teams ranked on this video I understanded it is another level of cursed
This roster is even more cursed if you consider the event fer was absent and they brought swag as a stand-in. We literally had MIBR sporting an American flag in HLTV

I love how the start of the video talks about NA CS.
then in EPL S20 we get Complexity, M80, and Liquid doing quite well in recent months
All 3 are international teams though.
Are they doing well? Liquid has three major winners, JKS, and a rookie playing out of his mind and they're roughly performing at a Top 15ish level. They haven't really had any impressive victories, Yekindar looks to be reverting to his terrible version again, and Twistzz is going to see his numbers drop over time the more he has to invest in IGLing (like we've seen with device on Astralis).
If you replaced Ultimate with Cadian, and rewind back six months, this roster would be getting flamed for not being a Top 5 team. And Ultimate is outplaying Cadian so hard it's laughable. If they weren't coming off of such a drought in form, Twistzz would be getting slated for underperforming with this team.
Complexity is one tilt-fest away from Hallzerk strangling an admin, and M80 still needs to play against some top teams before we can judge where they're at.

Astralis the last couple of years trying to throw money at their problems but never actually fixing the structure of the org. Until they stop trying to replicate their success it's gonna be hell for device.

Both Envyus rosters after apEX, kenny and NBK left deserve a mention. the french roster of xms, happy, scream, rpk and sixer and the American roster including Nifty, reltuC, drone and i don't even remember the other 2. BLEED as well.
Being a C9 fan in 2018-2021 was definitely a rollercoaster. But to be fair, Golden was ill most of the time he was on the roster, so they had to rotate stand-ins. When he was fine, the team didn't look half bad

NIP has to be included in this list, only recently they've looked decent with rinkle but still not what was expected of the roster. NIP vs Amkal vs Young Ninjas is my fav storyline this year.

I never cared about CSGO esports, even if I mainly played CSGO with my friends and Denmark was on top for years. A few years I saw an atralis sleeping bag in the Danish equivalent of Costco or Walmart, there are only a handful of them but they’re the only store the size of Walmart or Costco. With the exception of Faze, which was long established years ago as the "International Team", none of these mercenary teams will ever work. Cobbling together players from different nationalities who have nothing in common by offering them massive salaries isn't going to get your org a win, you need players who actually like each other and have played together previously, and preferably who all speak the same first language.

I would argue that the first ever faze line up should not be here, faze decided to get the first ever international line up that got to the top 10 in the rankings and that got top 4 in a major while playing on g2. So i dont think its fair to be considered as random team of old dudes they got, their core was together for more than a year (kinguin 2015 - G2 2015-16 - Faze 2016)
I am also biased since i am portuguese and fox playing in that team was the peak of our scene untill recent saw

Watch 1 round of cod warzone and you´ll know what i mean. North Americans are unbeaten in COD and hats totaly fine. NA CS had this one line up in Boston 2018 which won against a surprisingly good FaZe Clan with a scrabbled roster imo. 2018 was the ending of some great rosters, NaVi, french G2, mouz came with fresh guys and it all came to a quick (more or less) roster change at this teams. Its like the Florida Panthers Stanley Cup win this year, everyone just remembers that the oilers lost with McDavid and Draisaitl, the best players this sport may has ever seen. No one wioll remember this title without there own small group of fans
