For those wondering the seemingly odd choices, this is a typical French breakfast. We eat our croissants plain, which is why there isn’t a big amount of spread choices. A piece of fruit or apple sauce (or any fruit sauce really) is also often found on breakfast tables. Cheese and meat aren’t breakfast food for us. So this totally caters for French people :)
SeeYouInMainstreet yeah I understand how for many European countries and the USA it might come across as strange! I love our breakfast but I’ll admit all those carbs and sugar with no proteins isn’t exactly what you’d call healthy 😅 I’ve only recently come across your channel and I’m loving binge watching your videos ✨
My family and I stayed there twice, in 2004 and 2018. Although cabins may seem a bit aged now, they have been updated since my first time there and look better. Of course, it cannot compare to a proper hotel, but I find it very convenient for larger families (we were 5 and 6 people in both occasions). The cabin feels a bit small with 6 people but we managed to stay organized, and let's be honest, the Disney hype helped to see everything with good eyes. We used the 4 single beds in one of the rooms: there is basically no floor left, the whole room becomes a big bed, but what kid doesn't enjoy that? Also, as you guys already mentionned, the car ride to the park is really easy. Because the swimming pool was closed for refurbishment, we got offered free passes to Village Nature, right next to the Ranch, which we enjoyed a lot!!
Hi Norflix, we're so happy you had a great time at Davy Crockett! It is wonderful for kids and a real adventure. We will always have a soft spot for Davy Crockett Ranch too :-)
We stayed there in April - family of five (three teenagers) which meant we would otherwise have had to spend a fortune on two rooms in the other hotels that only allow a maximum of four people. We found it great, but yes you need to compare it with a cabin in a camping ground as opposed to a hotel room in a hotel. It was cold outside which meant no insects, and the cabin itself stayed warm and dry. Space was fine for us, although we of course didn't spend much time in the cabin itself. The shop was great - good baguettes, cheese, beer, wine - only minor thing was had to hunt a bit to find a bottle opener for the wine (none in the cabin) and finally found a chrome Mickey mouse cork screw at the shop that did the job although not the most ergonomic! Two minor additions to your review - outside the swimming pool was a vending machine where you could buy swim suits and goggles etc (!), and opposite the pool is a covered tennis court and badminton court as well as a basketball hoop - you just went to the desk outside the pool and they would give you rackets/balls/etc. There was also the amusement arcade, but you needed a stack of coins to play there. We didn't bother with the breakfast - we took advantage of magic time and drove straight to the park in the morning (maybe taking some baguettes with cheese from the shop to ease the hunger pains). After getting in our three or four rides before official opening, we would then go to somewhere like Starbucks (of all places) and get (say) a croque monsieur and hot drink for a reasonable (for Disneyland) price. We also stopped at La Boulangerie du Val (at Serris - 5 mins away from the park) and got some great food there to take into Disneyland and/or eat at the cabin. Overall, compared to a normal hotel I'd give it a six. Compared to a camp ground, I'd give it an eight. So an overall score of seven is pretty accurate. For a couple, I'd probably pay the little more and stay at one of the Disney hotels. If however budget means it's a choice of a non-Disney hotel or Davey Crockett, then even though it means having a car I'd definitely stay at Crockett to get the magic time passes which are pure gold. For a larger family, I'd say it's the best value place to stay - the drive to the parks is quick and easy, you park right outside the cabin so don't have to lug bags too far, you get the use of magic time, there's the pool as well as tennis court etc, the cabin is better than basic (kitchen, fridge, dishwasher, etc) and although the beds could be better the area was super quiet, and the restaurant was good (and could even eat there whilst waving at the kids in the pool). :-)
We will definitely mention the tennis court and arcade etc when we will discuss Davy Crockett again. Maybe we’ve mentioned it in our InsideEars hotel tour video, but I can’t remember 🙈 haha We’re happy you had such a great time at Disneyland Paris and that Davy Crockett ranch turned out to be perfect for your family. Even though we had some sit backs we will probably stay here again. It will most certainly be a great and affordable option for the high season 😉
Hey Guys! My very first stay at Disneyland was when I was just a little girl, I think I was 10 years old. I went there with my parents and I never returned to the ranch. The fact that you need to drive to the park is the biggest issue for me. Now, as a 34 year old, I had a little doubt. I've been to Disneyland a million times (okay, more like 20) and I visited all Disney hotels as an adult, but the DCR. I was thinking "can I consider myself to be a Disneyland-know-it-all, without visiting DCR once in a while?". I'm very thankful for this video, because it took all doubt away. No DCR for me ever again. It is too expensive for the experience you get. I'd rather stay in B&B or Campanile, and take the shuttlebus to the park, where I can spend that extra money I saved by not going there. Thanks for the honesty, the good video en the inside view. Don't get me wrong; it's not terrible, but it's just not for me, and I know that now. Thanks a lot! Have a great day!
This helped me so much we are going next week and have also breakfast with it. But now i know we need to bring meat cheese and other things for on the bread 😁
Nice video and sorry you had some bad experiences there with the bed and the horrible water damage. Hope my little item for you has arrived to your P.O. Box. Look forward for the next one
Great videos guys, staying here next year any info on car hire at Disneyland? Are there a lot of companies at the train station? Not much info on google
Wow ...Disneyland Paris resorts and food is SOOOOOO different from WDW. I had no idea until watching your videos. Having just done a 7 night trip at the Boardwalk in WDW back in December 2018, i'm kind of shocked to see the Disney magic missing from this resort and specifically this breakfast. I'm looking forward to visiting DLP in October, but I'm going to do my best to try and not compare the two.
Hi Dawn, have you seen our Disneyland Hotel video? That breakfast is AMAZING! It definitely depends on which hotel breakfast you have and how much you want to spend. We also made a video about where to get your breakfast in Disneyland Paris. You’ll see there’s a lot of choice. I agree with you that comparing WDW with Disneyland Paris wouldn’t be fare to Disneyland Paris. It’s a unique and quirky park with its own Disney charm. We hope you’ll like it!
@@SeeYouInMainstreet Thank you so much for the info on the breakfast video. I will be sure to check it out as I am staying at the Marriot about 10 mins outside of the park right near Disneyland Paris Golf Course. I have looked into the Disneyland Hotel breakfast because of your review there (even on a day we aren't going to disney because it looks fabulous and we don't want to waste time with only 1 planned day at DLP...might do 2 not sure yet ) and since we are only a shuttle away! Thanks again for the info and keep up the great work with the videos. Very informative and you guys have been one of the 2 main sources I have been using to prepare for our upcoming trip!
Hiya were going next April and I worried about the whole photopass situation could you do a video explaining how to set up the app and then how to get the photos for the photographer or ride onto your photopass xx I would really appreciate it .
Hi Edna, great idea, thanks. Don’t worry, setting up the PhotoPass is a piece of cake. When you’re at a character you’ll give your PhotoPass to the photographer directly after you made the pictures. He will scan your pass to put the pictures on it. When you’re at a ride you can add the picture to the app, or walk to the special photo-counter and let a cast member put it on your card. Good luck and have fun!
For me it didn't looked like a relaxing vacation. We have to drife nearly 8 hours, so this is nothing I would do. Many thanks for the video! It helped me allot to figure out if I wanted to stay there. :)
Great review! Love you guys!!! Given your video, I give it a 6 1/2. A little to naturey for me 🤣. ??? Would you guys stay there again? Better or worse option than any of the apartment hotels in Val d’Europe?
We would stay there again, probably at the beginning of spring. We don’t know all the Val d’europe hotels, but Davy Crockett is much better than the Residence du Parc Hotel 😝
Nice Video, well as said before Davy Crockett dosnt strike my or my mousegangs fancy. Anyway we booked our next trip to dlrp for thrid March 20 :) in Newport Bay Club for a little less then Sequia would cost us because of an extra discount over the weekend

I think this is awesome for families. This video made me want to go there with my family, but we like going to campsites in caravans. This looks super deluxe! Was there character meets as well? Looks like a perfect holiday for young children or babies. Too bad there is no child after hours entertainment, like a kiddo disco or crafts. I am disappointed in the amount of waste that the breakfast makes. Thank you again for showing. It looks just perfect for my family.
It is great for families! There’s so much to do on the ranch: you can definitely spend an entire day over there without getting bored! The amount of waste was also something we thought was strange. During the inside ears tour they told us that the waste had to be sorted by the guest and that there would be special bins for vegetable, plastic, paper etc. we didn’t see it anywhere! 🤨 Unfortunately there’s no character meet and greet.
Hey guys. Fantastic videos which are helpful. Why have you never done a review on hotel Santa Fe? as I would imagine this is a budget choice for many people
Haha good question! We’ve stayed there twice and we liked it, but we weren’t into TH-cam yet and we didn’t film anything! 🙈 we would like to stay there again but it hasn’t happened since. But we definitely will!
We stayes at the ranch for 4 nights in may and found it great. We arrived on the first day about 10am and our cabin was ready so they gave us the keys then. The swimming pool was great the only bad things we found was the master bed was bouncy and i keep hitting my toes on the leg nearest the door and there is only one pillow each also there was no blind on the kitchen window apart from that we had a great time.
