What I meant was that you see top level teams usually starting in 1800s and 1900s, 1700s often has noticeable flaws (like the ground type weakness). Still, being on low ladder is nothing to be ashamed of. I remember just a few years ago I was so excited when I hit 1600 for the first time! Just enjoy the process of growing and learning and you'll be a high ladder player in no time.

I noticed that in your custom Gouging Fire calc you use MegaZardXs attack stat, which is 130, over Fire’s 115. Are you accounting for the booster energy with that, cus the math doesn’t quite seem right.
Yes that's an error I realized afterward, I changed the ZardX attack to 115 but I realized afterward that it didn't stick. Gouging Fire is now on the calc now anyway though, so no more using ZardX! :]
Poison is harder to revenge-kill than Steel in that metagame. Steel is weak to fire and fighting, Poison is not. You could change it and the team would function just fine though
Pinkacross I loved the team and found it really cool, but I saw you were struggling to Gouging fire. Do you think that mom is ban worthy i any regard or will receive a suspect? I’ve seen a lot of people saying it deserves one and that it’s broken as all heck
At the moment, I think Gouging Fire is ok-- it may be suspect worthy in the future though for sure. It might even be suspect worthy now, but certainly not quickban-worthy.
I don't do draft leagues very often, they seem very cool and they're fun to watch but I don't think I'd enjoy doing one-- I can be a bit of a perfectionist with teambuilding and that sort of way of thinking is much more suited to a consistent metagame as opposed to a league where the "metagame" changes completely every week. Still a very fun concept though.
Not really sure about the initial Tusk swap, but honestly there was really nothing my opponent could do to win at that point-- Latias had enough bulk to setup on anything.
Pinkacross having now seen you play now, what mons do you think are ban worthy, or will at the very least have a suspect test? One I think will be banned is Roaring moon. Still a broken Mon
I agree, Roaring Moon is the #1 issue in my opinion. I would say Volcarona, Darkrai, and Serperior are the other guys that are cruising for a suspect test at the moment.
I might be wrong here, but isn't the real mistake in game three that you did the calc wrong at 24:50? You used hyper voice with 100bp as a substitute for terra blast which doesnt take stab into account. So terra blast did kill and you could have continued the sweep from that point. Anyway great video really enjoying your content lately!
Funny you should ask! I was just about to start building Minior. I would say it needs to be paired with something that can help chip Corviknight, and it appreciates other Flying type sweepers alongside it.
The goal is to take less damage from Stealth Rock. Even HP leads to taking more damage from entry hazards, basically. Strictly the rule depends on whether your HP is divisible by the percentage that it would take-- for example, a neutral rock resist like Latias would take 12.5% from Stealth Rock, which is 100/8. So you need to make sure your HP is NOT divisible by 8, because hazard damage rounds down so your 4 EVs would be better placed elsewhere. It's not a big deal though, just a minor thing done to put my mind at ease.
It's a pretty rough matchup, but it can't setup for free on anything. Gotta maintain offensive pressure and not allow free SD / sub. You can also revenge kill this set with Tera on Gouging Fire.
You are in luck sir! Volcarona Hyper Offense is probably one of the strongest team archetypes right now. My main advice would be to have really solid hazard control so that you can run Substitute + Quiver Dance-- those sets are super good right now since Sucker Punch and Thunderclap are running around.
Hyper Offense can ignore a lot of rules that other playstyles can't-- like having an Electric immunity. I'm not worried about any Volt Switch users so I can go without it.

Keep playing! Good play can get you to the 1700s even just ripping sample teams you hardly know how to use. Save tons of replays!

Yea me too! I'm particularly excited about Flip Turn Latios with the buffed Luster Purge, seems like it could be a really cool offensive pivot now.
I might go with the same HO team, except I'll use Iron Crown instead of Latii. Double Dance, Booster Energy speed.
I would advise against it unless you just really want to use Iron Crown-- Latias does this much better.

You could run Recover over Agility, but personally I prefer Agility. Non agility Latias are extremely vulnerable to Encore.
