    I belive the First thing they need to add is a way to charge your device while using it on the only usb port available on your device.

    Great video. Another use for AR glasses that I'm looking forward to is for activities like cycling and skiing. Showing you a route, trail map, speed, cadence, etc... will be super useful. I agree, AR seems like it has a brighter future over VR.

    The image from these glasses looks clearer than i expected in well lit environment.
    Id would like Ar for basic info:
    Step count
    Workout stats
    Notifications
    Date and time

    The only reason I would want this is to use it to watch movies and play video games.
    If only I could just connect this to a mini pc and output 3 digital 34 inch monitors and do some development work. I can see that as a possibility in the future where instead of having a laptop from work, we have these small machines that are the size of a phone and we just connect our glasses to it. And then maybe use wireless mouse and keyboard to do some work.

      @Whatsup_Abroad ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm contemplating doing that now. Gpd win 4, a wireless keyboard and a small Bluetooth mouse. the total footprint of the setup would be smaller than a 15 or 17 inch laptop, I could use a much more ergonomic and quality keyboard, and the ability to pack components separately would be a huge space saver. The company is supposed to be releasing some new software for pc to give us AR support.
      My other option is a lapdock.

    As a photographer, I'm not digging much the mirrorless change I've done, i miss the quality and instantness of my old optical view finder. I wonder if with this overlaying technology, a mix of optical/screen added viewfinder could be created. I miss capturing in a more "analog" optical way, the dynamic range of a screen is never as real life.

      @samuelolivero4458 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There’s a viewfinder similar to that on the Fuji x100 series. It can switch from lcd to optical and a combination of the two with a miniature screen for a focus patch.

    Is it that shaky when you have them and without filming, or was it because you were shaking the cam? Looks cool, betting it's too pricey for normal users - ah $380 as much as smart watch. They gotta find a way to get those prices under $100 bux.. they people would try it imo

    Finally, AR is coming. Been waiting a long time. Glad they went with android, as it is more open. Apple is too controlling. But are they sunglasses? I hope not. I don't want to wear sunglasses all day.

    Have a set of VR goggles and an Epson Moverio BT-40. So been dabbling with both VR and AR. Agree that AR just has a better use case, in particular as you can just put a dark filter over your AR device if you want VR immersion. For now, use AR mainly for work (second screen for confidential data in public), while my VR goggles are for gaming and full-on VR experiences. Currently the goggles are more immersive due to their much bigger view angle, but once that is addressed...

    It's 2022 ! We should be already not going outside becouse of perfect AR graphics and alternate virtual world being built ! Build it NAOW ! I heard stuff like this (AR only or a full digital reality) will be possible with arrival of more bandwidth in 5G web. That everything will be quicker to send over and electronics will be faster in computing it too.

    Lightweight AR is more attractive than VR because people with oily faces don't want to have to keep cleaning their VR headset and it's heavier and requires you to charge it.

  • @larrylim

    This looks much better than wearing them bulky VR headsets. Potentially you could wear them and work at a cafe without looking like a duck.

    BTW half the earth's population wear glasses (4 billion)...Google is your friend 😂 So where does that leave them? And NO we can't all wear contact lenses. Gee I can't become a surgeon because I can't wear the fancy eyewear???? Then there are people prone to seizures or epileptic fits. Even normal gaming warns you of this. We will just have to agree that in specific cases it has it's uses but going mainstream....I think not.

    • @TheUnlockr

  • @flicka25

    I got dizzy just watching the video. Sorry but I don't see the appeal. Let Boeing and BMW keep it but in rl unless you want to game it's a headache...literally a headache. And it's distracting. Then there are people who wear prescription glasses.....what about them? For the average consumer they're a waste of money. 3D fell by the wayside twice in it's history. People didn't like wearing cardboard glasses!. Then they came up with 3D TV and that went down the drain. And as for gaming, they get alot of hype for a few months then people move on to something new. I played the Pokemon game and the Jurassic park game...then I remembered I have things to do 😂 I even have a VR set and it's there languishing in the graveyard of forgotten gizmos.
