beginner here, just done building this kit and complete it without breaking any part whatsoever. Tip : begin with the wings first when you are still fresh and motivated, then build the body which is simpler, the wings have repetitive parts that looks the same but not identical, do the wings late in the build when you are tired and just wanna be done with it will lead to errors and broken parts ;)))
I oove putting your stuff on while I build. The music's relaxing and it feels like I'm building with someone. It's nice.

I have this one in my backlog and cant wait to build it. it will be my 3rd PG kit! going to suround it with my MG and my RG kit!

This kit was my first dive into Gunpla, back when it was released and really loved building it. However I could never get my Dragoons to stay clipped in, they would always spring out and deploy.
Really want to buy another of this kit and do it again though. My first one I painted my own scheme but a second one I will keep OG.
The backpack is the only most annoying part of this kit build
I just got my PG Red Frame, Ive built the PG Strike so I should be able to get it together pretty quickly

Theres a lot of Perfect grades that are easier than RG and MG because they are bigger parts to minipulate. Its just the massage amount of parts that get people thinking its harder.

I built him as my 2nd PG. holy cow he was so difficult but so rewarding. DO THE WINGS FIRST. After that... take a break. Avoid that burn out and enjoy the kit to it’s fullest. Trust me it’s well worth it

Good luck! Just did my first one, it was a winged gundam EW real grade, got confused on like 2 parts but it was awesome and it currently sitting right next to me in a badass pose with his shield up and sniper pointed aiming at my computer lol

It takes practice and a lot of Trials and errors LOL. My recommendation start small and then work your way up to bigger kit👌🦊

I've already made one mistake on one perfect grade model kit but I have learned from that and I own 6 PG kits. The one I did mess up on was the Banshee
Yeah missed few pieces behind his knees and the back skirts. But they aren't noticeable unless you really look closely

Hi Otaku, great wish as always. I'm about to start on this kit so have been studying your build. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like you've painted over the meki plating the frame comes with, no stripping or anything like that. You didn't have any issues?
so i just bought myself one and this is my first ever PG gundam so i wanted to do some research trying to figure out if i need to screw some things on or that i need to follow the same process you're doing because frankly strike freedom will be my 4th gundam and i wanted a challenge but i also don't want to mess it up because it looks too beautiful to fuck up

How come you paint the white parts with a sea blue instead of black when you shadow? Does it have a different effect when the white is top coated?

Why does the rg has better colo(u)r seperation than the pg

Between the strike freedom MGEX kit and this PG kit, which one is "better" or rather which one of the two kits look better? Just wanted some opinions! I have the MGEX kit from back when it was available and I am a bit on the fence about getting this one!
imo PG is better aesthetic wise and MGEX is better build wise
If i were going to buy this, i would just do the backpack, and the upper body. Well to make that Gundam Front Tokyo room that has Strike Freedom inside of it
I got the same kit too. May I ask how can I connect the LED lights to a power socket so that I don’t have to worry about battery running out? And how to connect power to those extra leds that you have added to the kit please?
What made you decide to use a yellow candy coat over gold as opposed to a gold candy coat over chrome?

What are you powering the LED with, and where did you find those LED that you are using? I LOVE the build you did.
I plan on building a perfect grade one day. Right now this is definitely one of two I wanna build with the second one being the Unicorn. Besides the cost, the one thing that scares me is the backpack unit since a couple of people say its prone to breaking. Still doesn't wanna stop me from getting this one day and building. Any thoughts on the stability of the backpack and the Dragoon Funnels? I'd like to hear how it was for you after the whole model was completed

You can buy metal replacement joint parts on ebay though.
What type of glue you used to stick the Led to the plastic?

i dont recommend black under the gold parts because when the paint chips it will look like a rg phenex that has a lot of black nubs
So you used Gold then top coated it with Yellow to make a good effect. What would you recommend for Silver? Just straight silver or Silver and Which color on top?
Hey dude can you help me? I kinda screwed up spraying my gundam with gloss top coat and now it looks like there are small water droplets and looks very messed up is there any way i can fix it? I also tried to coat it again and it has even more water droplets like things (This is my first time top coating btw)

how hard it is to build compared to a pg, ex.: 00 raiser ? not counting your led of course, they look awesome but add lóts of complexity to the build :D

My 2nd kit was a pg, they aren't as hard as you think, just time consuming and very fun! I'd definitely reccomend picking one up!

I have build 3 MG so far and I realy enjoy it but and want to step up my game to a PG.
but u say stay with the MG and the RG as a casual. so what is the esential diffeance between a RG and a MG?
Arne van Hasselt rg have smaller parts because they are in 1/144 scale. Some of the older ones come with prebuilt frame pieces. Essentially rg are scaled down mg. I have the rg strike freedom and it’s a great kit.

I would definitely recommend going for a pg at whatever point you feel comfortable, they aren't actually too much harder in comparison, just more detailed and more time consuming. They look absolutely amazing in any display and you get a great sense of accomplishment when you're done!
do you do chiseling on your kits?
just to warn you... the perfect grade astray red frame isn't really the best in term of solidity. Got mine a few years back and i have to glue so much piece to stop them falling of the kit. If you get one glue all the little piece that don't move. Also i love your video and your work on those gunpla.
After further review do you still recommend Strike Freedom PG kit?
It's a wonderful unit to build, my only complaint is the dragoon units are quite fiddly especially when u try to dock them

A typical PG kit build can take 2 days tops for just the basic build, a paint job on top can extend that to about a week.
Did bandai include extra wing pegs that breaks?
I've yet to find a gundam kit that has spare parts but then that would raise the price slightly
