Agree with everything you said. Awesome game. The hand to hand combat is my favourite thing. I love walking up to a crowd of bad guys, and just getting into a big brawl just for fun.
I thought it would be absolutely horrible to play when I first saw the gameplay showcase. But I was pleasantly surprised when I played it as my Third Person Elitist mindset (for Adventure Games) quickly changed & I learned to appreciate it for what it accomplishes. It's an amazing game & the best Indiana Jones movie in the last 30 years, lol.
I Ignored everything about this game, Had no idea when it would release, saw no trailers, avoided all news I had no idea who was even developing or that it was even a FP perspective game.. And I'm so glad I did, Went in completely blind and holy crap.. It really allowed me to just put myself into the character wich wasn't too hard to do first minutes in. It really made you FEEL like Indy, The music was top notch sound design and Foley just wow, The visuals blew my mind, the story was actually amazing. Easy 8/10 for me
Been playing roughly 30 hours 100% done Vatican and Gizeh up to Sukhothai now and the gameplay has just clicked this is game of the year easily and possibly game of gen 9 😅 playing on Series X with the 4k texture pack it is purely incredible I can’t stop drooling 🤤
The gunplay sucks. I shot that first giant in the head like 6 times and he just kept coming. A shovel to the face does more damage than four shots from a trench gun? Really? WTF
Love the game still think 3rd person wouldve been a better option. The first person combat is clunky asf so an option to 3rd person should at the very least be an option. Id prefer a straight 3p game with a robust combat system since most of the time youll be fighting and not shooting with is pretty useless in the game since Indy dies quickly.
I thought the story, puzzles, exploration, and Troy Bakers performance as Indy were outstanding. The combat was decent and it was definitely fun and unique to use the whip on enemies. Other side characters, especially Gina, was the games biggest weakness. I felt like every sequence or mission with her brought my experience down. She constantly went against Indy’s instincts. She saved him more than the other way around and she would solve things that felt like were meant for Indy’s character. Overall great experience though and I would score it as an 8/10
Great review, one of the best takes on the game I've seen, except for the comment about the game being free on game pass, you have to pay for game pass it's not free.
There's zero parkour in this game. You should look up what that term means. And that's not the only term you misunderstood. This feels like a third grader wrote it. Also, if you finished the game in 20 hours, you didn't do that much exploring. There's a lot more game here than 20 hours. At least twice that.
CGG : Indiana Jones And The Great Circle uses ID Tech 7 engine released in 2018. This is an iteration that is used for Doom Ethernal. Somehow Doom Ethernal looks approximately 80 % better in the texture quality area. Despite the fact that ID Tech engine iterations are always subpaar in terms of graphics fidelity for its time, it still offer a lot of texture quality variety, as proven in Doom Ethernal. So the fact the MachineGames made the last 2 Wolfenstein games with ID Tech 6 iteration, that looked much much better in terms of texture quality, there is no excuse for Indiana Jones to look this subpaar and bad. More than half of the textures look like as if they are from a game from 2012 !!!!
I still dont see the fuzz about this game. Gameplay looks so mehh only the visials are appealing. It makes me think you need to be an indiana fan to enjoy this game. I loked indiana as a kid but nvr a fan
I'm not a huge Indy fan (watched the first 3 on TV), and mostly only play scifi / Farcry / CRPG type games but there are 2 games completely outside of my wheel house that I love - this is one of them and Red Dead Redemption 2 the other. I dislike corridor games and whilst this isn't open world there is plenty to do within the hubs that gives it a good feeling of freedom. I like that you have to find certain disguises but not having them doesn't block you from stealthing thru enemy zones and there's a big nazi camp that I got stuck in for about 20 minutes, desperately trying to sneak out of before being discovered :)
Well then… I guess this game is not for you Mister… lol.. I thought this game was going to be trash when it was announced… and saw early footage. Now that I have been playing it… it is quite amazing!
Agree with everything you said. Awesome game. The hand to hand combat is my favourite thing. I love walking up to a crowd of bad guys, and just getting into a big brawl just for fun.
Just to add that machine games have already said that 2 more games have been greenlit by Disney
proof?
"Nazi occupied Italy".
You do realize Mussolini and his black shirts are Italian, right? The Italians can't occupy themselfs.
Dude said so many things that were just completely wrong.
Well… he is not a historian… lol… his “Review of the game” is spot on… which is what this is…

Hey man, I don’t know if you remember me from a few years ago or not, but keep up the great work! Your videos are amazing
Thanks so much man!

This is the real fourth movie.
There are so many Indiana Jones video games out...would u say this is the best one you've played?
It's up there for sure. It's not fair to rank a brand new game against old games though. Also, Fate of Atlantis is virtually flawless.
Good review thank you
The last stand in the hotel was amazinggg! Went on and died a few times to do it again
Really? It felt like there was so little for the player to do in that scene, and then it was just over as quick as it began.
This was a great game. I 100%. The story was amazing. Machine games did a great job.

Starfield was so bad, that most negative reviews have between 200 and 1000 hours in a year, claiming the game is boring.
The NPC clown world is real.

He said “if you are subscribed to GamePass, it’s free”. lol… he is right….
Starfield is GREAT!
I disagree biggest disappointment ever !
@MarkSpencer-u4i plenty of people love it. To me if was just ok .

@@TheSaiyanBoi it isnt but your welcome to think what you want

These types of games are not about the gameplay, its about story and adventure which it delivers.
I’m not playing a first person Indiana Jones game… and I have gamepass.
It's your loss 😂
