This is great news but also bittersweet because Neal Cassal is missing , RIP
The Cardinals will still be a great band but they won’t have those signature harmony vocals . I’m so glad Ryan is doing this, I just hope Neal will be acknowledged as he will be missed for sure.
I know man. I always likened Ryan and Neal to Layne and Jerry. I don’t know what Chris Stills’ voice is like, or if he even will be taking on that role beyond lead guitar? I was really hoping Graboff would be in the lineup and am very skeptical of there being no pedal steel. I’m a sucker for a B3, but something about Daniel Clarke effectively replacing Graboff/Candiloro is kind of off putting. Either way I am psyched for the “reunion” and look forward to all of these things revealing themselves
Knowing that Ryan and his band are back in action made my day! Can't wait to see them in concert in 2023!

It's not always Quality over Quantity though. There's a reason why other bands release an album every few years and its not because Ryan is so special. He can be, but he's not always. He has no filter or no one to tell him when to stop. JMHO

@@Termintor1 Depends on whether you're an avid fan and buy everything on CD and Vinyl like I do, only to discover half of it is filler. He's no more prolific than say a Jeff Tweedy, Tweedy just knows that not everything is release worthy.

There are so many examples of Ryan performing a song, and it turns out he's done the same song in multiple ways/styles that you only find years later.
He's without doubt my favourite artist of all time.

I've always loved this track. So excited that he's revived the Cardinals. What a band!! They always put on a great show too. I've seen every iteration of the band (except the new one yet) and they were all absolutely killer live. Can't wait to hear the new Cards songs Ryan has been writing.

Man wanna hear a whole album with the new cardinals. Beautiful line up with Chris Stills and the gigs were done with such respect for the members departed and also new and Ryan and Chris playing together can only be a very good thing cause both two of the best singers around. Don on bass as well🤯 but if just those gigs then a beautiful thing still although would be lovely to hear an album of them all in the studio. Not that expecting any more than DRA already gives us is fair cause fuck no one brings out as many amazing songs as and albums so thank goodness we got an artist like that still cause ain’t many if any on that level of quality authenticity and artistry🙏🤟

Let's hope we get to hear these tunes someday... also, Judy Garland (one of my absolute faves).
