I’m American with Mexican parents so I’m very patriotic with both countries so I’m loving these videos! Since you love sports you should check out one of the videos on here of the fans singing the Mexican national anthem during the World Cup match between Mexico vs Germany in Russia it’s amazing to hear it that loud even the German fans were stunned and them winning was a plus such an iconic game for the Mexican national team!

I grew up in a suburb in Los Angeles. My next-door neighbor was a Mexican lady who was a blast. At 6am one Sunday morning, I was awoken by a live Mariachi band playing in her backyard. It was a birthday surprise from her kids. Many years later I moved to New Mexico where "Mariachi Band" is a class in high school. I have always been a really big fan of the Gipsy Kings so, yeah, I admit, I love a good Mariachi band. Mexican food is the best. I travel to Mexico whenever I have a chance. It's amazing. Perhaps I will retire there someday!

There's so much fun in Yucatán Peninsula because it's such a mysterious and magical place I mean, it's there where the asteroid that killed the dinosaurs landed.

Just for future reference, in Spanish double "Ll" has a "Y" sound not just regular "L", for example: lluvia (rain) reads as (yoovia)

It’s not that hard to get to the waterfalls. Just get to Ciudad Valles in San Luis Potosí, and hire some expeditions or adventure agency. They know how to get everywhere and safe

You should react to.... Top 10 Best Places To Visit In Illinois. By Pierpaolo Romanelli. And also, Illinois Adventure #1705 Lincoln’s New Salem Historic Site. By WTVP. I’ve been here a couple times, it’s really neat. (Just so you can see there’s more to Illinois than Chicago)

I've been to most of these places and I think your first trip should focus on the Yucatan Peninsula. Almost half of these were in this area.
My favorite site is Isla Holbox (Holbox Island) but just as a site not as a place to stay overnight.
As far as cities go since you're there you pretty much have to go to Cancun to party but I'd recommend staying on Cozumel Island or Isla Mujeres.
This area is the safest in Mexico but you still have to be very careful.
You will need to know some Spanish and you will also need to drive. I wouldn't recommend renting anything smaller than a Jeep. Remember even though 90% of the roads you'll be driving on will be paved you'll be driving through a tropical jungle! You'll need 4 wheel drive. You do not need an International Drivers License in Mexico but you will need a current license from your home country.
This also isn't the cheapest part of Mexico but you'll think it's super cheap compared to UK prices.

Hello! I'm a Mexican, so I've been pretty much to almost every place on the list. I didn't think Palenque was closing tho! I went there with my family like 8 years ago when I was a kid and very passionate about prehispanic history. I remember they told us they had just discovered a pavilion they called 'Red Queen's', since the chamber was covered in red paint and a tomb was discovered. At the time they allowed us to go in with a guide, later we found out that they had to close it because it was found that the red paint was a venomous toxin specially put there to protect the tomb. It was a beautiful experience tho.

I love Mexico and it’s beautiful, but if I had one tip for anyone going, it would be to make sure of all the places you can’t go rather than the places you can go.

That is quite a beautiful country. I'd love to go see some of those places. I'd like to go see the world's smallest volcano, too.
