    Love seeing Tim and Chris working together they make a great team. Never really had an interest in crocodilians until watching Tim and a couple of other TH-cam channels. Thanks guys for your wonderful care for these animals and to all the other staff helping. Love to see what all it takes to catch them safely, not over stress them, check them out, doctor them or move them, watch for other gators and release them safely. Thank care!

      Steve Irwin was the reason for this. He came up with the way to trap and transfer crocs . Not 100% safe but better then killing them.

    • @tesstess8838

      Yes..big respect..we don't have this much big reptile sunctuary in phils..we have the biggest croc caught on record up to date but it died eventually when relocated..maybe it cost so much money to maintain and they can't afford to feed it anymore..sad story.

    • @loveyourselfplease6842
      @loveyourselfplease6842 2 ปีที่แล้ว +19

      Unbelievably there are lots of people who consider this cruel. I don't think they understand that the thick skin & insane muscle structure of these reptiles protects them from anything other than a mild annoyance from the ropes & tape. Relocation even in captivity is better than them facing being shot & in some situations ending up in a trap where they can suffer for long periods of time before dying. It also protects livestock & people who stumble into hunting ground

    • @kduoxo4666

      Actually Steve Irwin, while a great conservationist, is not why crocs are relocated. Crocodiles in Australia are a protected species and have been since the 70s. It’s illegal to kill wild crocodiles. I know the Northern Territory govt cull 250 a year legally i guess to attempt to control the population. But in reality it doesn’t even make a dent in the population.

    10:15 you realize the actual size of the croc once Tim leans over him! That is a monster! It's quite hard to see the croc's enormous size until the men sit next to him. The camera's just don't do him justice.

    • @laurelgirard8475

      It’s the same with deer, foxes, bears, etc. .Most wander into populated areas because they are hungry. Some have been fed by people that think they’re doing a good thing. What they’re doing is teaching them that humans are great and food is always available. Unfortunately these animals are often considered nuisance pests and will be destroyed if too close to humans too frequently.

      I watch a TH-cam channel called Snake discovery, who adopted/rescued a caiman who had lived in a box for her whole like.
      Poor thing is horribly stunted in growth, has shorter bowed thigh bones, a rubbery squished up south and glassy looking teeth. And still has her baby patterns despite being I think 30 or 40 years.
      She's living a great life now with snake discovery in their new zoo. But that is no way for any type of Croc or animal to live.
