This guy will never know what he has personally done for me and my life. He is my hero, one of my all time favorite hockey players, and bottom line even though I will never meet him or know him someone everyone can admire and look up to. I'm 52 and for him to overcome the adversity he has, is without a doubt in my opinion the true definition of a hero.
Barely made contact with Miller on that play. Terrible call and commentating. Someone on here calls him a coward..lol.. A coward would be better described someone hiding behind their keyboard talking shit. Great video btw thanks. Always liked Tootoo since his Jr days. Amazing how tough he is and can handle himself with his size.
@@dwightscout4569 Absolutely true we have even had men and women raped and murdered the killer caught but judges let them walk that absolutely true can found if Googled

@@Yofuggindaddybich He played in Milwaukee in the AHL in his early 20s. Early 20s would be considered a kid to a lot of people so I’m guessing that’s what he meant
This is a movie quality story. I saw him play for Milwaukee a few times. Fan favorite here. Someone please get this story into a movie script! I had no idea he lost his brother, had problems with alcohol, or that he was a lost wandering soul. This would make a great feel good movie no doubt.
I have to say it was great to work with him. He was a lot of fun and didn't hold back if you asked him. He gave it all. A commercial I shot with him for the Nashville Predators ticket push produced by GS&F where I got checked by him for 9 takes. I loved the pounding he gave me... I asked for it. Here is the link: th-cam.com/video/OwaUTGYBGd8/w-d-xo.html Thanks Ray Zate for this doc... It's awesome!
He didn’t actually check Miller. He was guilty of going to the net in a way that goalie contact was inevitable. He did let up I think all real hockey players could see that obviously. If he actually hit Miller there would be no way Miller would have fared so well.
I don't get how the Ryan Miller incident looks to anyone the way idiot Sabres announcers make it sound like. Physics and momentum are not their strong suits, eh? "He lost the puck!" Yeah, .1 seconds before the collision as he drove the net. You know, driving the net, like every one of these guys has been drilled since they were three-year-olds? I'm not a Tootoo or Nashville fan and love Ryan Miller, but come on now. He did nothing wrong.
sabres announcers and about 70% of fans on TH-cam have trouble understanding physics and momentum with regard to just body checking! I see “he left his feet” on a weekly basis.
He is a very humble and kind man with an incredible story. Happy I got to meet him. All the best in all you do. Kinanaskomtin - Thank you in my Woodland Cree language.
I met Jordan at the barbershop in Kelowna here and he paid for my haircut we talked about life and recovery and he his an awesome person. very nice guy he's very encouraging. great guy
indeed, welcome to Chicago, he a unique piece we need. someone to protect Kane and Toews, and be able to eat up minutes while being able to produce enough
and I agree with the one guy who commented it. Those commentators were tools. didn't even take into consideration the defender didn't help the play but made it worse. Not saying T was completely in the right, but he left his feet to maybe jump around, not leave his feet to lay Miller out
deadly, used to watch him when he was in juniors, he played for the Brandon Wheat Kings, knew from the first time i seen him skate, he was destined for the NHL!
I’m always surprised that there aren’t more indigenous players at high levels. The nhl etc. A lot of native communities need more sports support. As a country we are missing out on undeveloped talent.
He seems to be a nice guy and a cool ambassador for his people. Loved his calls about why they are so short in Nanuvat, and being an Eskimo cruising around Nashville with a harpoon gun. Tough bastard as well, boy could he throw down the fists... sheesh.
upgrayddable If the devils had been able to keep Kovalchuk and co. then brunner would've been a nice fit but once they were relying on him for top minutes it was all over
Are you from Nashville? I'm from Canada and it makes me happy knowing there are hockey fans in warmer climates where they played hockey or watched hockey from just intrest as apposed to having to cuz we are surrounded by frozen water.
According to Wikipedia on Jordin: Jordin John Kudluk Tootoo MSM is a Canadian former professional hockey player, who played for the Nashville Predators, Detroit Red Wings, New Jersey Devils and Chicago Blackhawks. Of Inuit, Ukrainian and English descent, he is the first Inuk player to play in the National Hockey League. I thought Chris Simons was native. Oh, I guess Ink and "native" are different designation.
What a class act. Love this guy his story is heartbreaking but filled with hope. I'd love to meet this guy he seems cool as fuck. And fartsack is my new favourite word haha
Only place he'd really fit on the team would be a replacement for Peluso. With Petan and Ehlers coming up next year we already have to make changes to the top 3 lines.
Jordan Tootoo the man gotta Luv him he can play on my team anytime, sure don't wanna play against him. The NHL should have a outdoor game in his home town, right on the Arctic Ocean .

hit the like button before even playing the video. Tootoo's a good dude.
Love your videos man :)
he really is, and I love the fact that he keeps his roots close to him. happy to see he outgrew the "booze& broads" phase of his career

The Mook I look at his face and I know. He's real, amongst all the fake MF'S.
@@emmaduncan2991 It's not "out growing", it's overcoming trauma.
I was sad when he left Detroit. We loved him here!
They didn't use him enough.
15:30 As a Sabres fan, I can say with confidence that was more on Erhoff riding him in to Miller than Tootoo "intentionally" running him.
down to earth, genuine and has earned his stripes. This is a man.
exactly..Jordin is a standup guy..

I think the most over looked part is he assumed he would be bumped heavily during the play and the momentum would probably take him behind the net.
Plus he's 1st nation....we are judged 24 hours 7 days a week..,

Im reading his book atm, good stuff, Toots talks about his early life in there. "All The Way : My Life on Ice" is the title
I’ve always admired Tootoo…super tough and as humble as it gets…his story should be an inspiration to all the youth out there…

Terrence TooToo. Never forget. Dokis First Nation.

Jordin's an inspiration.

Great vid Jordin, I always imagine what if you went to mma Dana white would have been drooling over the promotional material.
He reminds me of a first nations man I play hockey aginst. Very athletic and hard to play against. Just knows how to play the game with ease.
