Just to clarify, that Borobudur is in Magelang, central Java (really close to Jogja, but not exactly in Jogja).

You should try gudeg and other traditional Javanese dishes (incl. lupis, Nasi liwet, tumpeng, etc.) instead of Nasi Padang as Nasi Padang is from Padang, West Sumatra which is not native to Jogja.

Sometimes we are brought around by local hosts but most of the time it's just us heading to the destination, so it depends on us to do the planning before heading over. Otherwise we won't get good footage or a good experience.
It's actually Christabel who does the pre-travel research for all our trips and she has a great idea of what to highlight and what our viewers will enjoy watching.
There's no short-cut! (Unless you have a TSL written guide hehe) First ask your friends or even post on Instagram asking for suggestions. Then spend a few hours of research on tripadvisor/forums/blogs/instagram/google images and you'll be good to go.
