    Great job. Is the fix permanent? How long with the wax adhere to the wood?

    Can you use this wax on a surface that’s vertical? Like a door on a cabinet? Would you have to remove the door first to lay it flat?

    • @TheRestorer
      @TheRestorer  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Can be used on vertical surfaces. But if it is possible to put the part horizontally, then make restorations in a horizontal position. Where are you watching from?🌍😉

    Most all of the items listed are not available via Amazon in the USA. Is there an equivalent available in the USA … possibly from Mohawk?

    You need to add sealer after the repair & touch up or else marker paint will come off

    😲 There is nothing New under the sun, this has been done for many years!
    They did this back in the day with shellac sticks!
    Bee's wax was used and mixed with other colored waxes!
    This is a synthetic wax and you can lacquer or finish over like what you can do with shellac sticks, but easier than using shellac sticks!

    • @TheRestorer
      @TheRestorer  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! This is not a synthetic wax. This is a hard furniture wax (it is natural - carnauba wax from the palm tree). These are professional restoration materials. For an ideal result, I advise you to use only these. Manufacturer Henry König (Germany)

      It is a hard transparent wax for restoring dents on furniture, floors, doors, etc...

  • @BruceWSims
    @BruceWSims หลายเดือนก่อน

    Eh...no. The dent shown is a compression of the wood fibers. The successful permanent fix is to pin-prick the dent, then apply waterdrops and let sit for a couple of minutes. Lay a damp cloth (2-ply) over the area and apply a hot steam iron for about two minutes. Repeat as needed.
