    There is a second hidden moon stone before the fossile nerd but after the last rocket in mt moon. It's on the right, at the end of the dead end.

    You can't get crobat without the nationaldex when you randomized it you must have accidentally given yourself the nationaldex. In fact i believe the default option is nationaldex on in the upr. Edit spelling

    Gen VII has a mechanic with a move that involves primary types. Revelation Dance is the primary type of the user. Also Destiny bond lasts until your next turn, so it is best used when you are about to faint.

      (genuine) and it's only learned by oricorio who has different types based on the color or "style" it is. *edit* added a word

      Good to know! I couldn't think of anything while scripting but figured there was something obscure I'd missed.

    Future Sight until Gen 4 is a typeless move, which means it doesn't hit super effectively, (and apparently doesn't have STAB either).
    I learned that by using Gardevoir in Gen 3.

      I checked on the wiki while editing the video because I was so baffled by how little damage it was doing. They also boosted the accuracy from 90 to 100 and boosted the power from 80 to 120 over the generations.

    Do you usually plan out your teams before the runs? Or do you have a rough idea and change/adjust as the run goes?
    Really enjoyed the video! Thanks ♥️

      So, I usually do some research before starting a run to plan. I usually do a bad job, so I pivot as I run into issues or encounter things I didn't know.
      Good example is in the normal only ruby run I did a few months back. I did research and fully missed that you can get slakoth, whismur, AND skitty before the first gym.
      Research is not my strong suit.

    Can you do a mono type challenge in the battle tower?

    What a strange final fantasy challenge 🧐
    Just kidding!
    Poison pokemon are so common in first gen 1 but they are pretty mediocre most them.
    Nidoking is the exception, being just stupidly strong.

      Yeah. Poison, at least in kanto are pretty meh, except the one's that are specifically very, very good.

    from watching your rivals, I KNOW this is possible since many of them have finished solo (one pokemon) runs with stuff like Muk and Koffing already. So the question is not "can it be done" (with the caviot that "HM Slaves" will be required), but "how much hair will Xephrost lose pull out by the roots to complete this challenge".

      @roymerkel8008 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I should correct myself, I'm trying to remember if poison is as bad in gen 3 as 1 and 2 (in 1 and 2 they are really, rEAALLY, REALLY, REEEAAAAALLLLLYYYYY bad), I think it's still pretty terrible in gen 3, but don't recall if it's gen 1 and 2 bad or not.

      @roymerkel8008 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      ~2:00, in Gen 1, this "primary type of poison" rule DOES make a difference due to AI bugs, but don't think that applies to gen 3, at least I don't think it does. That said, there may be other niche elements of the gameplay AI that may be affected by the primary/secondary thing, so you are probably right to make this distinction in this case (especially if poison is as bad as I think it is)

      The nidos DUE feel like cheating because they ARE a fair bit better then the other poison types in the game (I'm looking at you Grimer, Muk, Koffing, Wheezing, Zubat, and to a MUCH lesser extend Ekans, and Arbok). BUT, it fits your ruleset, so I guess I have to allow it ;)

    • @Xephrost_Gaming
      @Xephrost_Gaming  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah, poison is not great, but I believe it would be better in gen 3 than in gen 1.
      I completely forgot about the targeting issue in the gen 1 AI, so that is at least one way primary types are distinct in the mechanics (or at least were). Another commentor mentioned is the Revelation Dance move, whose type is based on the primary type of the pokemon.
      And yeah, the nidos ended up being VERY strong. They were included for consistent with the next few runs, but I can see how they tilt the challenge in my favor here. Neither are available in Platinum, so stay tuned for that next week. It sure is a run.

      ~17:00 - WOW! I knew these guys were bad in gen 1 and gen 2, but apparently gen 3 ALSO really suffers from Poison being bad (I guess I guessed right on first post, but for some reason I had in my head "they can't POSSIBLY be as bad as in gen 1 and 2" and I was wrong, they are JUST as bad as in gens 1 and 2).
      I know the level cap hurts things since your rivals are based on a speed meta, so they don't worry about level caps, but I didn't think it would make THIS much of a difference.

    Poison is definitely a challenged type. At least it gets something with the addition of fairy types.
    I acutally modded a version of firered to have fairy types and found that it barely even helped poison offensively lol.

    • @Xephrost_Gaming
      @Xephrost_Gaming  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah, it doesn't help that the other type good against fairy is steel, which is just a better type all around
