Wait, so the range of the engagement was 1.000.000km? And it still insta-killed that big ship with 3 layers of armor 10m thick? Casaba Howitzers truly have no chill, Jesus Christ O___O

It would not insta kill it. The problem is the game does not actually simulate the projectiles turning into a plasma beam. So instead of plasma hitting at relativistic speeds it was those flak bombs which would be *far* more destructive as shown here.

Casaba howitzer is nuclear bomb exploding and turning into a plasma beam effectively. Dont see that been demonstrated here

It's not really possible to do that in COADE

It's close. The game just doesn't really simulate plasma. But the bomb itself would turn a material into plasma which then becomes the beam like in a shaped charge.

Nuclear buckshot isn't bad at all XD

That's terrifying. By terrifying, I mean AWESOME!

It launches projectiles? Wouldn’t that make it a NEFP?

take a nuclear missile, modify the front of the missile by adding a large amount of metals, target an enemy ship and detonate the warhead, the metal will be propelled at extreme speeds and hit the target with a phenomenal amount of energy

@@leguman5289 As well as turning into a plasma like state because of the amount of energy and heat it is experiencing.

the entire idea of Casaba is to create plasma, while a NEFP may or may not necessarily create plasma. Preferably not because you are tying to create essentially a nuclear shotgun slug

Did they fix it somehow? I'm trying to replicate it, but it does not work. Nuke explodes, but flak just disappears...

Okay, I have some advancements - at least I've managed to make some missiles with a small nuke core surrounded by flak. They have to get close though (100-200 meters) and work from time to time, but when they do - they shred ships nearby apart. I'm still trying to replicate your design with a 10mt nuke, and now it indeed shoots shrapnel at a crazy speed, but the problem is that it... shoots backwards. Maybe it'll damage the enemy if it gets behind my back though. But it does not work as intended.

@@tvorogmoloko7969 At some point after this video was made, the game mechanics were changed. Now the game deletes all the splinters from a flak bomb after one game tick (game runs internally at 30 ticks per second). So the flak splinters can only damage target at maximum distance of "their initial velocity" X "1/30 seconds", which is usually less than 50 meters for chemical explosives.
