Yes Jenna’s dad is Jim, her brother in law is Dwight, her BFF is Angela, and her niece is Cece! Also she was able to name the character after her niece!

@@einatbarzilay1747 Lmao they do. They both still act on new shows, for the longest Jenna had her own show, and Angela is now a writer for shows. Angela also acts still too. They both do movies and shows. The pod is based off their best friendship that started on season 1 of the office. So that’s why their connected through the office forever, it started they long ass friendship.

I've grown to really like seth meyers, i think he's the best at letting the guest shine and is the best interviewer
Totally agree. For a lot of guests with a comedy/entertainment background you often just need to let them say their piece uninterrupted without obnoxious laughter or injecting yourself back into the limelight. Less is more for those guests. Comes off as more natural that way.

It's really apparent when you compare Seth with Jimmy Fallon. Jimmy can not interview people to save his life. He has that fake ass laugh and constantly interrupts his guests. I haven't seen that with Colbert but Seth is still a much better interviewer than both of them.
Seth Meyers is criminally underrated as a late show host.
One of the things we say, as office fans, is “do you watch the office?” Because although the show finished years ago, we will watch in perpetuity. The show is so comforting!

I was lucky enough to get tickets to see this live on Monday, massive fan of the office! Seeing Jenna and Angela live was very surreal to me! I loved seeing how they operated a tv show

Kinda cool how people downloading the Office to their iPods helped save the show early on and then years later it found a second life by people downloading/streaming it on Netflix
For me, The Office is one of those shows you can inhabit. It's like that's your office; you work there. New angles showing never before seen areas are a great surprise. I feel that way about Frasier's apartment as well.

I could not agree more. Both shows have been an immense comfort to me for that exact reason.
My wife and I FINALLY got around to watching after years and years of hearing friends talking about it. We watch one show per night & are currently in the middle of season 2. Omg, what were we waiting for?!! Hilarious. And then we learned that these two were besties & did a podcast. It’s like we just stepped through the doors into Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory.
I first started watching The Office on February this year. I feel like I've wasted years, bc I could watch this earlier, but on the other hand the podcast is still on for next 2 years and now this book. I am just jealous of people who can watch the show for the first time and have that wonderful feeling of not knowing what's next :).

@@rex-racer I tried not to search for info :D In fact I've finished whole series in 10 days, watching through whole days/evenings. Now I'm up to date with the podcast. Some of the episodes I've already watched for 5-6 times. It's been 3 months already and I'm not over it, crazy. Season 2 it awesome, but seasons 3-6 are my favourite :) Have fun with it!
The discipline it takes to watch ONLY ONE Episode a night! I could never haha more like one season 🤣
I did the same with Parks and Recreation two years ago. Obviously, I made a bad decision to not watch it when it was on TV 🤣

The announcement of the original iPhone in 2007 showcased the widescreen video feature by showing a clip of The Office (Dwight faxes from the future). That was my first exposure and the reason I started watching the show.

I introduced my wife to this show after we got married. We skipped the first season as I wanted to let her start on a solid note, but binge watched a couple seasons on our honeymoon. We’re down to three episodes in the first season before we finally watch the series finale.

The Emmys story where Jenna saw the charcuterie board and just ate was funny. Leading to Angela telling her to hurry up, then say the "Shove that Salami" line--which led to Jenna going "That's what SHE said!" would have had Pam and Angela shake their heads and then laugh despite themselves.
I watch this way too many times! I literally have it playing when I M driving, through the day and so many times have I seen this series. All time favorite
I just binged it during the first "lockdown" for the first time. I almost stopped after the first season because I thought oh, there's no way I could keep working for a jerk like that. Steve's character just irritated me like crazy. Then he let up and the rest was bliss. I too put it on in the background. It's like having company you can enjoy but ignore when you want to 😂😂😂
OMG, when I first watched the show, I hated Micheal. Because he reminded me of my ex-boss so much. I've been just waiting for him to leave to show soon, coz I've heard from somewhere that Michael leaves the show at some point.
@@bo_naraa, he did stay but they changed his behavior a lot after finally letting him not only get some knock down corporate and others. By the time he did leave I actually cried. Holly was perfect for him.
Not a big Steve fan. He always over-does things! But I thought, maybe after 40 yo Virgin, that he discovered less is more. His character became lighter and funnier. But eventually, Old Steve crept back in. Or, as Rose said, below - they changed his character.

@@jondoe8889, I gotta admit he kinda goes crazy. Reminds me of Steve Martin in that way. Some of his facial expressions were wacked, especially when he got in trouble 🤣
i've binge watched the entire 'The Office' series a few times now, absolutely love it. It's the most funniest and most awesome set of characters you can see in one place, it's just perfection.

I just rewatched The Office for the first time after being an original fan. I thought it held up extremely well just that, of course, some references would fly over the head of some younger folks.
It's funny hearing what Angela gets from fans when I found their love story more lovable than any other on the show...... he truly loved , adored and ached for her and it felt so real in the moment

I dont know if im proud of this but ive watched the office on repeat for the last 10 years
Currently on season four with my kids. Got my wife an autographed copy of Jenna and Angela's book for Mother's Day since she listens to the podcast. I can recall most of the shows as we watch them, but there are still surprises. And even the things I recall are still hilarious. Classic.
Angela Kinsey is the anti-Angela of The Office, lol.

I have only just watched the show (all 188 episodes) over the last 70 days..... brilliant show, so funny and entertaining.
People always are like “it’s not that good I don’t get it” like yeah it’s just another tv show, but it’s comforting, and also hilarious. And so many of the jokes would never fly today. Honestly watching the bloopers is my favorite part
I have literally never heard or seen anyone say that lol anyone that's watched it that I know, and we're talking 60 to 80 people, have watched the entire series many times over

I have put off watching The Office for years.
Once I started, I never looked back. B99 used to be my jam. But The Office just took over.
The Christmas episodes are part of our yearly curriculum still.
Bought the box set and saved it in my laptop. I re watch the entire series at least twice a year. It never grows old. Same with Seinfeld. Still can't get enough of it.
Listening To podcasts (office ladies, the offive, Seincast has for me replaced watching the shows over and over in the past year

I was sad when Jenna's last sitcom was cancelled. Great show and cast. One of the few l would watch and enjoy with the mrs.
I have to brag. I was an “early adopter” of The Office, and watched every episode as they first aired. Even I thought “there’s no way” this show will last long, despite seeing for myself how funny and ridiculous it was - but also knowing it wasn’t getting very good ratings in the beginning. Television is such a bizarre business…
I’m happy to say I was completely wrong, and that the show finally found it’s loyal audience after Season 2, because it was always a gem in the rough. It lives among the most beloved TV comedies of all time because it literally became relatable to everyday people who work for a living, and have nutty co-workers they have to deal with. Thank you, Dunder-Mifflin/Sabre…and thanks to all the cast, guest stars, crew and production for many years of great television!

Oh gosh, yes! As a listener from episode 1 I highly recommend the pod, although some episodes have grown-up conversation content that maybe an 11 year old will need to have explained carefully to them 😄

I really didn’t watch The Office until the Covid lock down, one of the gifts of that time. “Back in the day” I found it too cringy but then it found my funny bone and was my comfort at the same time. So grateful for it. I’m still watching it on Comedy Central. Thanks, Seth, for having these ladies on. Hope the writers strike is settled well and fairly soon so you can be back on again. Miss ya!!

I'm not even a very big fan of _The Office,_ but I had a big smile on my face through this entire interview. What a couple'a smart, sexy, charming, down-to-earth ladies! As a big fan of DVD/Blu-ray commentary tracks, that rewatch podcast sounds like a great way to consume the show.
