When they where going to put a submarine in crater lake back in the 80’s, they put a rope on the old man to move out of the way and the waters of crater lake started to become dangerous and threatened to capsize the submarine so they took the rope of and the water became calm again, so that’s either a perfectly timed coincidence or some super natural stuff. But that’s kinda cool
Stealing? That thing is 30 foot tall and full of water, plus the tree stump itself is very heavy even without the additional water I'm more surprised no one has vandalized it, like cutting a huge piece of it, or graffit it, or even setting it on fire
Wood underwater can last for a VERY long time. Consider shipwrecks that still exist after 100s of years. If it's true that the root-ball is partially intact & holds rocks in it (quite common, especially in very rocky areas...such as a shoreline like here), that would explain it standing. Wood generally floats, therefore it's buoyant despite the stones. It's more amazing that it doesn't happen more frequently, imo.
I replayed it three times to make sure it wasn't my hearing. According to the narration, she's the first person to see it in 120 years, but she expects it may be spotted at the other end of the lake tomorrow. Scuba divers could solve a bunch of the other questions. TH-cam: the mystery channel.
Crater lake~ a very weird and mystical place.. you can feel the energy in the air when you are in the surrounding area
It hasn't "beached" because it is floating vertically....the vertical float and non-rot is the big mystery.
U would think someone would either dive or scuba down to see what makes the old man float like that 🧐
The root ball is still there and has some rocks on it.
@@adamgraham6265 well that explains it
I'm surprised someone hasn't tried to steal it yet!
A 40 foot water logged cedar accessible only by narrow trails down to lake . . . nobody is packing that out unnoticed

I can't even imagine how heavy that thing is and not to mention its 40 ft long! How do you even steal something like that?
We tested our first ⏲️ training there.

Boulders in its root system probably
Notice how her voice gets shakier the closer they get. She's scared of that thing, and I don't blame her.
She isn't scared of it.. She ran out of material to say and she doesn't know how to explain the math and physics portion of it 🤦🏾♂️

"The last reported sighting was 120 years ago"
Um, you may want to update your books lady. Just sayin

I think she meant to say the first recorded sighting
Did you actually just say “update your books” ? Lmao
Alot of missing people in that area and in and around that lake.something lurkes there that does something with humans.
Cool!
That is odd indeed.
what is it ? is this lake in Oregon
It's an old log that mysteriously floats standing up and just travels around Crater Lake.
@@boobiemcgee6996 wow that's cool thank you
Yes. It is in Oregon I’ve seen this and it is a strange thing, same day a curious little squirrel bit through my fingernail!
Crater lake
I wonder why it never got besched. Its probably tied down.
Nope.
It's not tied down
wow 4k!
To me from the moment i see a log floating vertical red flags all over. it belongs to someone or something is guiding..
😂
Him?
That does not look like Crater lake ! There is no recreational boating on Crater lake and I didn't not see the volcano core ?
1:33 in…..look in the back
Why call it "old man"?
Floating since 1902

@@gambit3653 I heard it was closer to 400 years of floating, although the evidence might be a little shaky
@@globohomoenjoyer69 I mean that's the year it was discovered so yea it could be more than 400 years old
