My late grandad used to be a carpenter and he made lovely wooden things from boxes, Dove house and clocks I like the different smells of the different woods

Kinda to give a little insight on the salad bowls being small , before super size everything came along portions were by nature smaller people did not over eat as a whole like they do now as most people worked outdoors as well as indoors everyday as times have changed as an example most everyone washed clothes and hung them on the line canned cleaned all day chopped wood ect ect and worked a full time job and a over full stomach slows you down so people ate what they need and dishes were made to fit the people of that time and huge servings were rare , so the small salad bowls fit the time they were made
my grands from England used vist as child we were as poor all get out from school there she be with rolled sheets in frig, ironing them for us kids..she put rose water in sprayer..miss her

Loved those really good beach towels. They are not cheap like todays. Yes, the crochet bed cover is beautiful!!! We had those blankets at my Grandmothers in the Adirondack mountains. It was very cold there in the winter & you needed them. Thank God we do not have to use those instruments no a days. They were simply barbaric. Zorro is chillin in his favorite place, he is so pretty. We actually had one of those mixers that go up & down. I think my dad used it for drinks. My mother had 3 different sizes of those white fire king bowls. Love ya

My favourites are the cobalt blue glassware and the large and gorgeous bowl from the last box. I have been sleeping on and off today so watched this in bits but I couldn't go to sleep for the night without watching to the end as you are both wonderful together and make me laugh so much. I love these unboxing videos from your home, we get to see Zoro who is a lovely husky and so laidback and the view from the window is nice though it will be beautiful in the warmer months. 55;28 is a mandolin. For quickly making ripple cuts, and thin slicing lots of vegetables, like potatoes and carrots. Careful, those blades are sharp!

As a young woman in her 20's was a like in cook for s wealthy family during depression. She made all the cakes whipped cream,merangue , butter etc with that green hand mixer. She is now 93. She never knew what some of the things were they wanted to cook or eat,lol

Hello Wade and Grandma Venture. I’ve bought from you guys before. I live in Deltaville, VA. Deltaville is on the east coast of Virginia near the Chesapeake Bay.
Fluorescent glass will glow slightly under UV light, but it won't be as bright or as green as vaseline glass. Look for a softer, more natural glow to distinguish between fluorescent and vaseline glass. But the best way to tell is under a black light .

Those black hexagon plates from France may be amethyst! Hold them up in bright light and they should show amethyst in the light. If they do check them out. They may be worth more!

The wooden box is a tea caddy the middle bit is missing & it would be had a key so the lady of the house would keep the key, as tea was expensive in the 1800/ 1900

Cool Thermos air jug. We had a smaller one. You push down the big button on top to serve, instead of removing the whole top and letting everything get cold.

Also it’s not a life jacket, it’s a buoyancy aid - life jackets are able to inflate further and they have a collar that helps you float upright in the water, even if you are knocked out 👍🏻
