    For most of us, we are fairly used to using something similar or close to full-frame or cropped sensors in DSLR or mirrorless cameras, especially sony users. While many of you know of the Micro-Four-Thirds systems and the 4/3 sensors inside those MFT cameras. I thought it would be a great idea to take a deep dive into it and see how it affects the BMPCC4K

    These videos have been extremely helpful. I went the metabones route and primarily use the sigma 18-35mm. I think a huge benefit to MFT is how relatively easy it is to use with vintage lens. And again with the metabones it becomes close to a super 35 sensor, I think.

    Another great video. Have been enjoying your content. Recently got myself the Bmpcc4k, metabones speedbooster and Sigma 18-35. Really glad I chose this system. I also think I saw an underwater housing for the pocket in your video? All the best 👍

    Good and interesting video. (BTW ... I believe that the name does not come from the 4:3 aspect ratio of the sensor, but understandably many assume that is the reason. Gerald Undone has a good video explaining the reason for the name.)

    really great video just got the 4k, ¿Do you know what happen if i adapt a canon ef lens with just a regular ef to mft adapter? like the sigma 18- 35 do the focal length double? does the aperture lose light? metabones adapter is really expensive and viltrox sucks.

    So if I want to get a 24/25mm lens, would the Meike 12mm t2.2 cine lens act as a 24mm with the 2x crop factor for the mft sensor? Despite the lens having an mft mount? Or would the meike 25mm still act as a 25mm considering the mft mount matching the mft camera sensor?

    • @FrameVoyager
      @FrameVoyager  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question! From what I understand it's that the lenses would equal a 24mm at a full frame mount but will still be essentially a 48mm on an mft mount even though it's made for MFT mounts already. So simply, yes you'll still be doubled even with a mft lens. Hope that makes sense!

    Would the GH5 and Bmpcc 4K have the same DOF ? I believe the Bmpcc has a slightly larger sensor

    • @FrameVoyager
      @FrameVoyager  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question! A GH5 has a sensor size of 17.3 x 13 mm while the pocket 4k sensor size is 18.96 x 10 mm. They are different size sensors, but I feel like you'd probably get about the same DOF on either. I'm sure one slightly edges the other, but I think it's too close to really matter.

      Appreciate it and welcome to the voyager team! I'll first say I don't claim to be a color grading expert, but I have found some luts that I think are above the others. I use either buttery luts or Ld's finishing luts.
      Nice kit btw!
      As far as stabilization goes I like handheld and use a lumix or other lenses that have IS. But, I have used my right, almost fully built with a v-mount battery on top onna ziyuhn crane. As far as a travel tripods I have a couple of light manfrotto tripods that are awesome!

    Video Note: At Frame Voyager we know we will make some technical mistakes in our videos and we love getting feedback from our subscribers if we missed the mark on something. In this video, while not detrimental to any applicable takeaway, we had one minor mistake that was pointed out by @Kenny White. We mentioned early on that the 4/3 system was named because of the 4:3 ratio of the sensor. This is not technically true and it's actually based off of something else. This mistake should not take away the helpful information on how the MFT system works in the bmpcc4k but If you would like to take a deep dive into MFT and FT systems check out Gerald Undone's video on it here --> th-cam.com/video/m072i-jDSg4/w-d-xo.html

    "Less depth of field" doesn't mean what you think it means.

    • @FrameVoyager
      @FrameVoyager  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You're right, phrased that wrong in the video. I'm assuming you mean I should have said shallower depth of field?

    • @Seadogstudio
      @Seadogstudio ปีที่แล้ว

      “Less ability to have shallow depth of field” ?
      But that’s very debatable while DSLR have constant f 2.8 zoom lens 4/3 have constant 2.0 zoom lens and that leads to the similar depth of field on the lens that is a bit smaller. Olympus 35-100 f2 for example
